  1. @Aakash Enlightenment does not kill you. Enlightenment kills your mental image about yourself. You're so identified with your mental self image that you think that you will die of you let go of it. Enlightenment is experienced by what you'd call living beings. And they continue to live with ridiculous levels of Wisdom until their bodies stop working. These assumptions that enlightenment transports you to other realms, that you get out of here, that you leave the matrix, that Nirvana is somewhere else etc are misunderstandings that arise from deeply dualistic viewpoints. And those misconceptions often become religious dogmas that are parroted for centuries. Simply put, you are the Universe thinking, reading, walking and talking. Everything is an act of the Universe. There is nowhere to go. You didn't come from anywhere else. You're always here. Stable conscious experience is the real Miracle. Behold!
  2. Truly carnivorous animals have very short intestines, varying from 3 to 5 times the length of their thorax. It is so because they need to expel meat very quickly, before it putrefies. Vegetarian animals, along with human beings, have very long intestines, varying from 8 to 12 times the length of their thorax. It is to because it takes longer for vegetarian food to be broken and absorbed by the organism. The only way a carnivorous animal could eat vegetarian food is by eating almost 24/7, just like pandas. Pandas are almost always eating bamboo.
  3. @leintdav000 The way you think others see you is a reflex of how you see yourself. If you want to stop being neurotic about what others think of you, treat yourself with more respect. Take good care of how you live your life, how you deal with your emotions, how you treat your body, how you eat etc. If you do so, your life will go full circle.
  4. @unborn_chicken Look at you, bragging about yourself. What if the same could be said about you: "boring, mediocre and predictable"? Truly amazing people don't bash people around them. Instead, they lead their fellows to Light.
  5. @AlphaAbundance Have no friends. Instead, be a friend. Neediness is a guaranteed path to suffering. Serving is a guaranteed path to greatness.
  6. @Justinsantos98 What's wrong with liking and looking at girls in high school?
  7. @Farnaby It's a little bit more complicated. The initial burning fire decreases quite quickly to a stable level, which decreases slowly with time. You shouldn't be experiencing super low levels of sexual drive before your 45's or something. What I am saying is that you cannot build a relationship that relies too much on your sexual drive. You should be helping each other grow and heal. You should be building something great, like a beautiful family. Maybe it's time to let the dude Farnaby die and give space to a Man. Do you see yourself as a man, a guy, a dude or a boy?
  8. Building something AMAZING. A man and a woman together and aligned with high consciousness purposes is one of the most powerful forces a human being can experience. Also, your sexual drive will decrease with your age. You better start working really hard on your life purpose if you don't want to fall into what's known as "mid-life crisis".
  9. @AlphaAbundance Then get ready to fail 1000 times in a row.
  10. It will only decrease with time. This is how it works with basically any intimate relationship. That intense sexual attraction should give up space for more advanced forms of attraction.
  11. @Farnaby If you want to reach a state of effortless Love, you'll need to go through a long, intense and painful purification process, which I honestly don't think you're ready for. But if you succeed, you'll love every stranger on the streets. The feeling of genuine Love is very very different from what mainstream media and culture promote. It is far beyond intimate attraction.
  12. @Farnaby You haven't been in love yet. Love is built very slowly. The feeling of Love contemplates the desire to offer and serve without expectations. You've been feeling passion. Passion is just the initial fire that motivates people to break through the mental isolation. Now that you're in touch, it's time to make a choice: make plans for the future to live together healthily or break up. If you don't feel like it's time to make a commitment, there's no need to waste more energy forcefully trying to make a feeling arise... just break up. Long term relationships require higher levels of maturity, willingness to serve and a sharp desire to build something greater, something that goes beyond two people.
  13. @Joscha It's difficult because you're trying to get things from life. The moment you realize the power of service, you'll be free. The way of the servant is the most magnificent one among human beings. There's nothing to gain here. There's nothing to take from this place. There's no point in controlling people. Contentment is sitting right next to you. Although, paradoxically, if you act from a mindset of contentment and prosperity, you'll achieve a lot. But still there will be nothing to take from here.
  14. @CreamCat Don't indulge in such competitions. When it becomes a game of who is right/wrong, it's time to let go. Seek Wisdom. Wisdom is prior to smartness.
  15. Where is "thyself" and where is "God"? What are those made of?
  16. @DaneV How do you want to remember yourself on your deathbed? If running your business is making your life feel like it's not worth living, then why not quit? It's not like you wouldn't be able to build another company at least as good as the one you're running right now. I'd sell my share and use half of it to live in a very low cost style, just for spiritual development, like an ashram in India or a Zen monastery in the USA. The other half would be useful to rise again, like a phoenix, after you feel like you've healed whatever you need to heal. You sound like you're not married and do not have kids. It makes things even easier. Make good use of your circumstances. Most people cannot afford such choice and will die without ever doing something so peculiarly different.
  17. Egg came first. It's very simple, actually, since new species appear due to mutations. Some animal that looked like a chicken put an egg of a chicken. Spiritual answer? Spirituality is about Truth. No need for non-dual keyboard jockery.
  18. @Michael Paul Sounds like makyo. Your visual perception of Reality was distorted by chemicals. It could very much have changed colors. I'd just let go.
  19. The secret sauce is a mix of tenderness, service, humility, contentment and wisdom.
  20. @Michael Paul These are just mental contents, though. What the huge majority of people fails at is integration. How can spiritual insights cleanse suffering? If you talk about God all the time but your life is a mess, with chaotic emotional swings, it means that you're not reaching deep enough. Mankind has enough hypocrites already. You gotta make your way up to Wisdom and Virtue, otherwise you'll be wasting time and spiritual thirst, which is a very important (and rare) component.
  21. @Michael Paul God is everything, including body and mind/ego. Everything is made out of God. What we call "atoms" are manifestations of God. From dark matter to dark energy to known matter/energy to thoughts and sensations. There's not a single aspect of Reality that's not God for God and Reality are One.
  22. @jerrypua Ask them how they're feeling and if everything is alright. Talk about what matters and don't make room for useless conversations. You can't just hangout with such people. Instead, be a monk to them. Show compassion and sympathy.
  23. There is no God out there doing anything. God is every secure/insecure creature. For the past 4~5 years, I'd say that my levels of satisfaction have been oscillating between 95% and 100%, a lot closer to 100% most of the times.
