Perceiver IS perception. It's all one substance manifesting and experiencing itself, arising and disappearing like a wave to the ocean. -
Have you ever considered becoming a politician? j/ k Sounds like your 'monkey mind' is about to be tamed - daily meditations and practicing mindfulness will do the job.

You're speaking from a non-dualistic perspective (truth). From dualistic perspective (illusion), awareness manifests and experiences itself through forms ( 'us' including). Language is being used to deliver the message by trying to explain the unexplainable. -

@Greatnestwithin They would see death as the end of the illusion that there was someone, and live their last days being rooted in the present. I recently read an article about the last words famous people said before dying, and what struck me was those who were known to be conscious/ awaken, spoke peacefully and graciously before death, no worry or regret before they took their last breath. Steve Job's last words reflected his being fully present in the moment while dying, "Oh wow.. oh wow.. oh wow". And some others were simple, "I love you" to their family, or a beautiful metaphor of leaving the dream.- 36 replies

Yes, but communication is a thing of duality and is done by the means of duality (language, labels, etc). Otherwise, there would be no concepts, no words, no discussion, no forum -

Depends on which perspective you're speaking from - dual or non-dual. From non-dual - every form is just a ripple that arose from the ocean (pure transparent empty awareness, Leo's definition) and will disappear back into the ocean. 'We' all are that. Can a ripple feel lonely? Duality creates individuality... loneliness, etc. Having and utilizing both perspectives makes a most balanced life, imo -

Desiring to become enlightened is like an ocean ripple desiring to become the ocean. The ripple IS the ocean - it's made of the same substance as the ocean, it rises from the vastness of the ocean and disappears into the vastness of the ocean. Yes, you can only 'see' IT in the 'here and now', EVERYTHING (all forms seen and unseen) and NOTHING (everything beyond object reality). Even a better picture would be looking at the earth from the space. Do you see yourself or anything at all as a separate 'thing' or do you see one vast mass covering the earth, including you and EVERYTHING that's on earth, yet NOTHING to be seen in particular and as separate? This is the shift in perspective you're looking for. It's harder to 'see' it that way given your immediate surroundings with 'you' sitting in the midst of it, but the space-earth perspective can help. -
I saw it somewhere on the web awhile ago.

It doesn't really matter how they get their millions - by selling seminars or products. What matters is that half as many people follow Leo, because he is the real deal. He walks the walk, not just talks the talk, and everything he teaches he also lives.
-
Leo's already a millionaire, but he's the kind of a person who doesn't walk around boasting about his wealth to the world. He's also got more YouTube subscribers than other self-help gurus out there (pushing half a million), and he just started 2 years ago! Verses Tony Robbins who's been around much longer and only got half of that number.

@ProblemSolving Eckhart Tolle answers your question, "Don't expect consciousness where there is unconsciousness". Very insightful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqr98O8QT3M

@carlo The right decisions are often the most difficult ones, because as you grow and build yourself up (self-actualize), you have to gradually peel off the old conditioning/ programming (by family, society, school, friends, media etc) and become the authentic self aligned with your values. You'll be in touch with reality, neuroses diminishes, less and less dependent on the opinions of others, won't need external validation, your life flows from the core of your Being, you lose fear of death, you become untouchable. The reality is that you're already perfect and whole as it is. The conditioned mind may tell you otherwise, but as you start to practice meditation, mindfulness and your awareness expands, you'll get more in tune with yours true self and the world around you. The girl you'll be drawn to, will be someone who will share your values and enhance your life , not take away from it. How about making your picture your screen avatar? Be proud of who you are. I periodically rewatch this piece to remind myself not to get frustrated with people around me. The funny thing is that family is the people who get to me most, my mom especially who still tries to parent and compete with me. So I have to keep things in perspective in order to maintain relationship with her. Like Ram Dass said, If you want to see how enlightened you are, go spend a week with your family. 2-3 days at a time usually works for me

There is no devil. Leo has a good video explaining how religions originated and what the words they use ('devil', 'sin', 'god', 'afterlife', etc) really mean. And it's not what people conventionally think: http://www.actualized.org/articles/spirituality-vs-religion

@Susa Fat cells store toxins, so until you do a whole body detox and flush all those toxins out of your body, you'll keep gaining weight even after the lipo. Our body is a holistic organism, the only food our body recognizes as beneficial and nourishing is the clean wholesome food from the earth. That means no processed, canned, refined, or altered in any way food. Also, interval exercise routines burn the most calories in short periods of time. Dry saunas will sweat you buckets flushing toxic overload out. And of course, at least half of your weight in ounces of clean alkaline water each day. Do all these and won't need a laser, or even a doctor to fix your weight problem. Quick fixes never work long term.
