@haael Good to hear things are picking up for you. You're doing great - keep at it!

I'm sorry to tell you this but this is literally never going to happen. Stop procrastinating and go out and approach girls. You need to be talking to dozens of new girls every month.

Locking for low quality and disrespectful tone/attitude from the OP. Feel free to discuss the election but don't just post random one line opinions. And lets practise compassion and empathy rather than judgement.

To be fair, the fact that you actually gave it a go is a worthy achievement - so props to you for that. I also understand not wanting to do this work with a group of people. There's a big difference when you are truly on your own for sure. However, the main benefit of doing the group retreats first is that you get a real sense of what it takes to actually do 8-10 hours of meditation every day for 10 days. The actuality of it is completely different to the imagined actuality, which is why on these 10-day Vipassanna retreats at least 10-20% of people end up leaving after the first day or two. As you started to experience, overcoming and dealing with the boredom is a big component of these retreats. The structured setting of a group retreat helps you deal with it. For me personally there is absolutely no way I could do a 7 day solo retreat without having done all the group retreats that i've done over the past few years. But like I said, great effort man! Looking forward to hearing from you if you decide to give it another go. -
@Mvrs Is the idea 'Since i'm not real' actually based in your direct experience or is it a belief? Who says you are not real? Why do you think you don't exist? Maybe you are just mistaken about what you are.

@Lews Therin Yea don't get too bogged down with the details. It's not gonna make any difference if you breath in for 6 seconds rather than 10. Follow the general guidelines, and suit it to your needs and requirements. Whats written down in a book should always be taken with a pinch of salt. -

Have you done any organised meditation retreats before? Like a 10-day vipassanna course? I would suggest doing a few of these before trying to go off by yourself. You might find it easier to have an external force controlling your schedule and looking after your basic needs. I think you also need to have a more comfortable environment to do this in, some proper food, cooking facilities, proper washing facilities etc. You want to have all your basic needs met and secured for the duration of the retreat. You should also appreciate the value of taking adequate breaks between meditation/contemplation sessions, where you might do some light walking meditation, have a nap etc. -

@Superfluo As I get older I realise how useful style can be at helping you in social situations. It really does change the way people perceive you. I'm assuming you are a young male here. I'll give you some points based on what I personally think is good style, but as aurum said above it really depends on you and what you like: 1) Buy well fitted clothing. 2) Use only a few colours for each outfit, 3) Use block colours, as in large areas of colour. No graphic t shirts unless its a stand out piece amoungst other more simple items of clothing. 4) Shoes say a lot! If you want to wear trainers/sneakers, go for some simple all white style. Otherwise wear some chelsea boots, smart leather shoes etc. I like shops like ZARA, COS, All Saints, UNIQLO. These are fairly inexpensive and sell relatively high quality, well fitted clothing. The problem with the really cheap stores like Primark or H&M is that the clothing doesn't fit great, in my experience. Go into clothing stores and take photos of the mannequins - people often ignore these completely, but they are styled by actual stylists! Pinterest is also a great place to get fashion inspiration.

I wouldn't worry too much about this. All of this is unlikely to permeate into your son's real world life, behaviour and relationships etc. The main thing is to ensure that he does not become addicted to video games in an unhealthy and toxic way. This is certainly a real danger, particularly as he is so young, and he will thank you later in life for making an effort to prevent this. However, in our current world, most young people living an increasingly significant portion of their lives in the digital world. And for boys this is in video games. So in some ways it's unavoidable. It's up to you to ensure that he has other things in his life that can bring him the same or more satisfaction and enjoyment. It's all about finding the right balance.

@Onecirrus I think the OPs thread is fine in this sub forum. It's not creating any arguments or major issues so I see no reason to move it or lock for low quality. This is an important topic in our current times. @Hsinav Fortnite is one the least violent and toxic video games on the market. Just because they are shooting other players in the game doesn't mean your son is going to suddenly become a mass murderer. The idea that video games incite real world violence or cause players to be more aggressive was disproved many years ago. There is no evidence for it. You might find that the act of completely restricting your son's ability to play the game will have a detrimental effect on his social life and mental health. If you want to restrict his game time to a certain period in the day or a certain amount of hours per week thats fine, but I would say don't completely restrict him from doing it. If all of his friends are playing it, he wants to be social with them and fit in with them - this is very important. If his gaming becomes toxic, if he is playing constantly every hour of the day, then I would suggest intervening and restricting his total game time.

@Khr A fair response. After reading the thread more carefully I have revoked your warnings. But in the future, just flag comments that you feel are against forum guidelines.

Space replied to ItsNick's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@ItsNick As others have said, what you're experiencing are Kriyas. You just need to allow them to happen and release when and where you can. They will subside eventually. Believe it or not this is a very promising sign, not many people have these sorts of energetic movements. -
@Aco If you want advice from people you need to be much more specific about what you're looking for.

I definitely agree with this to a large extent. LSD, in particular, comes with so much 'baggage' like the time dilation, visual hallucinations, weird delusional thoughts and thought-loops. And there is a distinct lack of clarity with LSD, I found. A high dose of 5-MeO is Infinitely more intense, powerful, crystal clear, and profound. @Psychventure I'd say yes, but in a way that is hard to put into words. The background context for 'this' has permanently shifted resulting in a subtle but significant difference in experience of suffering and life in general. Generally speaking, the personality, your insecurities, habits etc remained pretty much exactly the same. However on a more subtle level, an opening or a partial breaking down of the sense of individuality occurred. I call it a 'softening of the ego', where by the edges of 'me' have been relaxed. A sense of being 'held' and being perfectly 'in place' within Reality has also arisen, which is very pleasant. I have certainly experienced very blissful bodily sensations since my full God breakthrough, however I wouldn't say this has improved the quality of my life. This was not the case prior to the breakthrough doses, but my life circumstances did significantly improve over the same period so that may have contributed towards it as well. -
Props to the guys for bringing Sadhguru onto their show. Even if half the conversation is cringe as hell, better to have Sadhguru than Alex Jones again. There's moments in the interview where Logan pulls back the comedy and laughing and is genuinely trying to ask serious questions and have a somewhat serious conversation. The problem is, i've never really liked Sadhguru's style of teaching. It's so indirect and muddied with eastern religion. If anything this conversation probably made them even more confused about spirituality. I think what they need is a really down to earth non-duality teacher who can give them some straight, direct answers.

Ambient music is my favourite contemplation music. The spaciousness and lack of linear structure instantly puts me into a more open and free flowing state of consciousness. But I often go suuper ambient, like Chihei Hatakeyama:

Space replied to SpYITB's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@SpYITB Other people here have said what needs to be said, but i'll chip in just because God Infinity realised itself here around 4 months ago. So 'I can talk from experience'. First of all, ACTUAL Infinity has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with mathematics or numbers. Just throw this idea out. Numbers are a tiny tiny tiny facet of Infinity but will ultimately dissolve into Infinity at the highest states of consciousness. All symbols, numbers, languages, equations, models etc ALL collapse totally into Infinity and are seen to be completely meaningless. No mathematics or science will ever ever ever get you to Infinity - literally impossible. Regarding the question about whether I understand what infinity is - 100% YES!! A total realisation of ACTUAL Infinity, or Infinity ITSELF, is radically unmistakable. It's the most intense radical state of consciousness possible. Utterly beyond anything imaginable. You do not end the trip thinking "Hmm I wonder if that was Infinity, maybe a little bit Infinite". No! It's ACTUAL Infinity realising itself! There's absolutely not a shred of self or ego who 'experiences Infinity'. Infinity cannot be experienced in any way possible. It is not an experience, sensation, feeling, thought, intuition, perception, insight, or anything BUT ITSELF. There is a total collapse of ALL dualities, leaving nothing but Infinity Being itself. Infinity is also = Eternity. So when Infinity realises itself, or when Infinity realises itself as YOU, you also realise you are Eternal and have been forever and will be forever. Honestly the realisation of Actual Eternity was equally if not more shocking than the Infinite 'aspect'. -
Space replied to Adamq8's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Adamq8 Always loved Frank's videos. I actually enjoy the fact that two people I watch disagree. Makes everything more uncertain for me and i'm less likely to adopt a certain set of beliefs. Makes me realise I don't know who's right, so it's up to me to discover the truth. One thing i've always liked about his videos is the 360 view effect he does on his footage. Looks exactly like the non-euclidean perspective video on Leo's blog. -
All these recent posts and discussions surrounding heavy metal poisoning are very interesting. I've been suffering from a range of symptoms over the past 4 or 5 years, all very similar to what are described in the above video and on the cutler success stories page. I've managed to cure some of the issues simply by cutting out most sugars in my diet plus various herbal supplements, but i'm not 100% by any means. Very interesting that candida is mentioned a lot in peoples reports, as I have been suffering from a chronic candida infection for a number of years now. Don't worry i'm not going to jump into anything without doing the proper research beforehand. I had to go to the dentist yesterday and I asked whether any of my fillings (drank lots of sugary drinks as a teenager and fucked my teeth up) contained metal. Thankfully only 2 of them do, so I plan on getting these swapped out as soon as possible (Relatively cheap here in the UK). Unfortunately one of them is massive and goes right next to the tooth nerve so I may end up having to have a root canal just to get the metal filling swapped out. It'll be worth it in the long run though, i'm sure. I'm going to get a mineral hair test first - would be good to know if I do actually have some level of metal toxicity or not.

Honestly I think you're gonna have a hard time finding a teacher who will motivate you like this. The best answer to your question is, you guessed it, psychedelics! Work your way up to 30mg of 5-MeO-DMT, realise Actual Eternal God Infinity and you'll have all the motivation you'll ever need. In all the spiritual teachers i've watched and listened to (aside from Leo) I could probably count on one hand the amount of times they've inspired me to do spiritual work. How often do you hear other teachers talking about having a desire for Truth? Except maybe Ralston, but he's painfully dry most of the time. I find most teachers are way too abstract and kinda ungrounded in their teachings. Leo tells it like it is, without much of the fluff. You either sit down and do the work or you don't. How often do you hear Rupert Spira, Tolle, or Mooji saying "Stop fucking about! Cultivate a genuine desire for the Truth. Sit down and do the work!". When God Infinity was completely realised (with the aid of 5-MeO) the need for an external 'motivator' dropped away quite significantly, permanently. Reality, Infinity, Eternity itself becomes the motivator, the teacher. You become your own motivator. -
@aurum Nice to see you back dude!

Space replied to Focus Shift's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yea i'm not bashing the guy, he's on the right tracks for sure. Yet at the same time, any discussion of God in the context of philosophy is really a waste of time and just creates more confusion. Well I never said language was useless. It serves an important role in our collective self survival. When it comes to personal development and discussing spiritual theory we need language. But when it specifically comes to explaining the nature of God, which is what the video is about, using language will simply never work. Alan Watts is nice but his teachings are limited. -
Space replied to Focus Shift's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
This is true, yet I could also say that saying nothing at all would be more useful. When actual God Infinity is staring right back at you the idea of language or trying to explain the nature of anything with meaningless symbols and sounds become radically obsolete and laughably ridiculous. God is so beyond anything the guy is saying in the video.
