  1. A poet, once in a while, suddenly finds himself in the same space as the mystic. On those rare occasions, he is almost a Gautam Buddha – but remember, I’m saying almost.
  2. Shaktipat is an old device. The disciple had to surrender totally, had to become vulnerable, had to be open , risk all and have faith. If the master is an authentic master then his touch, particularly on the forehead between the two eyes where mythologically in the East we have visualized a third eye. If he puts his bodily contact on the third eye, and the disciple is absolutely available, surrendered, ready to receive, then the energy from the master’s being starts flowing. The master cannot do anything if the disciple is just a little bit reluctant, a little bit closed, a little bit afraid, not surrendered totally. Then nothing will happen. Shaktipat is the energy of a Master which may trigger energy in people, producing involuntary physical and emotional responses like crying, laughing, chaotic breathing, shaking, trembling, and celebrating.
  3. Yes, it is ego decoration but we need some spiritual ego to carry on a spiritual journey.
  4. Argument is a prostitute. When somebody comes with a conclusion, then he looks through that conclusion and chooses only things which support his position.

  6. The tuning will be disturbed many times even though the first glimpse has happened. When you have had a first glimpse, trust arises. Do not stop there; do not get stuck looking for that same glimpse again and again. If you know a few moments of no-mind, those glimpses will promise you many more rewards that are going to come. Those who are in search will need infinite patience. If you have patience nothing else is needed. Patience means if it takes an eternity it is okay, I will not be disheartened.
  7. There are so many desires unfulfilled. In dream you try to fulfill them, in dream you create a false feeling of fulfillment.
  8. A man who has no goal to reach is bound to remain in material poverty.
  9. Jesus knows the best. Buddha was one step ahead, he said, "Embrace nothing: If you meet the Buddha, kill the Buddha. If you meet your father, kill your father. Only live your life as it is, Not bound to anything.”
  10. Jesus said, “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword." (◄ Matthew 10:34 ►) Jesus said, "If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple." (◄ Luke 14:26 ►) Is it compassion ?
  11. Life of Buddha https://www.buddhanet.net/e-learning/buddhism/lifebuddha/11lbud.htm Jesus expelling the merchants and the money changers from the Temple https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cleansing_of_the_Temple
  12. Can you name a person whom Buddha or Jesus ever imitated? It is ironic that we imitate those who never imitated others. If you are imitating someone else, you will become phony, you will not be real. Just be yourself. Jesus overturned the moneylenders' boards and began to beat the moneylenders. He cursed a fig tree which was not yielding any fruit because he and his disciples were hungry. When Buddha left his kingdom, his son was only one day old, he left the palace without informing his young wife, his father , he was his only son. Do you want these qualities ?
  13. @Faceless Effortless effort, or gateless gate, or pathless path are contradictory terms, they are used just to give you the hint that the process is going to be dialectical, not linear.
  14. Logically it looks absurd, but existentially it is possible. Whenever you are spontaneous it means you are not acting according to a preplanned idea. In fact you were not ready, prepared, to do anything. When you are effortless, relaxed - it happens.
  15. I have never liked a man, the way I like you. ~ Osho
  16. We can not move from time to the timeless, we can not achieve timelessness, thoughtlessness by doing something. It happens when you know the knack of total relaxation, remain unoccupied, aware. When you have learned how to be utterly silent, unmoving, undisturbed, effortlessly. 'Sitting silently, doing nothing, the spring comes and the grass grows by itself.' It is not your effort that brings the spring; it comes, in its turn. And when the spring comes, you don’t have to pull the grass and make earnest effort so that it grows , it grows on its own accord.
  17. No, but obstacles , hindrances are finite. We can remove them. Techniques are needed to remove the obstacles in the way of meditation. So the work of the techniques is just to prepare the ground, is just to prepare the way, the passage.
  18. When meditation happens, there is state of no thought. We can't do it, it happens. We do techniques like vipassana etc. to prepare ground for meditation. Technique is not meditation.
  19. Meditation is not escaping from life: it is escaping into life. Mind is escaping from life, desire is escaping from life. Now, this is very strange, that meditators are thought to be escapists. That is utter nonsense. Only the meditator is not an escapist , everybody else is. The man who lives in the future, lives a counterfeit life. He does not really live, he only pretends to live. He hopes to live, he desires to live, but he never lives.
  20. You can't take any step towards absolute. How can the infinite happen through finite efforts? The only thing that can be done is to remove hindrances.
  21. Now everybody wants to become extraordinary , in an awakened spiritual civilization everybody will be very ordinary.
  22. Jesus says, “Faith can move mountains.” Deepak Chopra on the Oprah Winfrey show, has done a similar experiment.
  23. If the human race becomes extremely spiritually advanced , existence will protect it. Civilization comes to an end when it becomes too unconscious , like Sodom and Gomorrah, notoriously sinful cities were destroyed. Spiritually advanced civilizations always survive.
  24. If you are innocent , existence take care. There is a Hassidic story. The story says that, when God decided to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, one Hassid approached God and told him, “I have a few questions, and you have to answer them, because it is a question of the lives of thousands of people.” God was willing; he said, “You can ask.” The Hassid said, “You have decided to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, but have you thought that there are a few people in both cities who are absolutely innocent? I know them, I am one of them. There are one hundred Hassids in both of the cities – are you going to destroy these innocent people too? They have not committed any crime. Are you ready to take this responsibility? Won’t you feel guilty?” God said, “I have never thought about it: one hundred Hassids, innocent people… Perhaps I will have to change my decision to destroy Gomorrah and Sodom.” The Hassid said, “I have to ask another question. For a hundred innocent people you are ready to change your decision, but in fact there are only ten Hassids. Does the quantity make any difference? Will not ten innocent people be enough to save Sodom and Gomorrah?” God thought for a moment, and said, “You are right. It is the quality, not the quantity. Even if there are ten people who are innocent, I am not going to destroy the cities.” The Hassid said, “I have a third question. In fact there is only me who is innocent. Six months I live in Gomorrah and six months in Sodom. Is that going to change your mind? Again it is a question of quantity: from one hundred to ten, from ten to one – the same proportion. And how can I give a guarantee for a hundred people, that they are innocent? How am I to know about ten people that they are innocent? You are asking me inhuman questions. I can absolutely guarantee one thing: that I am innocent. Now tell me what you are going to do.” The Hassidic story says God had to concede to the Hassid – because it is the quality that matters. Millions of criminals can be saved, but one innocent person should not be destroyed. Innocence is so valuable, it is so rare and unique.
