Enlightened quotes from Bob Dylan

28 posts in this topic

Bob Dylan is my only hero in life.

He inspired me in the same way Osho inspired @Prabhaker.

In this thread I will post quotes from Bob Dylan that I believe are spiritual insightful.

Feel free to comment the quotes that you like(or dislike).

Here's a first quote:

“She knows there's no success like failure, and that failure's no success at all.”

From Love Minus Zero/No Limit

“I am against nature. I don't dig nature at all. I think nature is very unnatural. I think the truly natural things are dreams, which nature can't touch with decay.”

I'd say more than 80% of the music I've listened to over the last 3-4 years has been Bobs. I listen to him every. god. damn. day. Particularly live performances.

Not sure how relevant this thread is to the forum, but I can't resist...

"well you can't take it with you but you know it's too worthless to be sold - they tell you time is money as if your life was worth its weight in gold"

The bakery truck stops outside of that fence
Where the angels stand high on their poles
The driver peeks out, trying to find one face
In this concrete world full of souls
The angels play on their horns all day
The whole earth in progression seems to pass by
But does anyone hear the music they play
Does anyone even try?

OH. and I almost forgot...

An eternal flame, quietly burning
Never need to be proud, nor restless yearning.

A poet, once in a while, suddenly finds himself in the same space as the mystic. On those rare occasions, he is almost a Gautam Buddha – but remember, I’m saying almost.
