  3. @Rakesh Dude basically all your posts are about defending that guy or praising him. It looks like you are either his friend, the guy himself or just an obsessed fan. Why don't a mod seriously delete such a pointless thread promoting some attention seeking "guru". Oh well.
  4. I sometimes do a walk meditation as an add-on to my normal daily meditation. I put on my headphones, set bells every 5 minutes and count my breath for 45-60 minutes. It can be as efficient as sitting meditation, plus you get better at not getting distracted by visual sensations. Note that just walking is not really meditation if you get lost in monkey mind, it just makes the monkey mind not as annoying. Walk with an intent to be present.
  5. @Neo When I see your posts on this subject and your continuous outrage, it makes me think of a Leary quote: “LSD is a psychedelic drug which occasionally causes psychotic behavior in people who have NOT taken it.” You really don't know unless you have taken a psychedelic drug. People can use these substances responsibly and with respect, or people can use them poorly with destructive outcomes. To make a statement that it's not an authentic experience because "a group of friends who do meditation" says otherwise doesn't mean anything. Obviously it can help people in their journey. You seem to take it really personally that people are willing to use these tools for growth.

  7. Oh look, a vegan pushing their belief on people. How rare. You write that you can't see how people at higher stages eat animals, but a lot do, so yeah, that's reality for you. Life eats life.
  8. So I do a different technique for two weeks straight and then switch to another one. The next technique I am want to try is the "Do Nothing". Though my over-analyzing mind is making the simplicity of the technique a little hard to grasp. Do you simply sit and watch as awareness? Let's say you just sit and you get caught up in a thought do you just acknowledge that like with other techniques, such as breathing in and out, and get back to just watching? Is it more recommended to do with eyes open or eyes closed?
  9. How is it a sign of low consciousness because you seek tools to improve yourself? And you are also making really big assumption that people simply want a video to solve their problems when basically all of Leo's videos stress the fact that a big chunk of work is required for any type of personal growth and progress. The average person fool themselves into believing they have control and that life is about climbing up career and status wise, not even wanting to really take a good look at what they are really doing with their lives and what life is. So no, I would not say there are more "low conscious beings" here than "average", should be the other way around if anything.

  11. Again, you quote others without any chance of knowing yourself. You are going on total belief. Also, it's like you lump in drugs under one big umbrella. If you had done a big dose of a potent psychedelic you would know for yourself that escaping from suffering is not at all what you are doing, in fact escape is not an option when you stand naked in front of your own psyche. I personally don't think psychedelics will do the work for you, but they can certainly be an aid for spiritual growth and has been for me. They have given me pointers, they have given me wake up calls to what is important to work on. So thank you for the recital and lecture, but I am well on my path in this.
  12. Well I haven't read that book, but I can make an empirical claim that you are wrong in this case. I have done psychedelics in times of despair with positive results, also there have been so many others that have. Look at ayahuasca for example, how many people do you think are drawn to go to the jungle because they are in a state of crisis? Sure, some people are there for the "fun" of it, but that is not a significant number. Visionary artist Alex Grey is another example, he was on the edge of suicide, having prayed to a god he didn't believe in the day before spontaneously trying LSD for the first time which radically changed his life. I am not saying one should take these substances when in crisis, because it can easily go bad. I am saying that what you are claiming is false, and frankly if you haven't done any psychedelics you shouldn't be making any sort of claims about them.

It does not state that 25mg is the highest maximum recommended dose. 30mg will not be a problem (as in you will not be in physical danger) if you have a good calibrated 0.001 mg scale, though going further than that is not really necessary, after all the 5-MeO-xxx substances are notoriously hard on your body but LD50 rate is 115 mg/kg so you will have to do quite a bit to cause permanent physical damage. Mental damage though is highly dependent on how prepared you go into it, because these substances are no joke.
  14. It's not weird that 4-aco-dmt is similar to mushrooms though, Shulgin have even suggested it is an esther to psilocin (which is 4-ho-dmt) just like psilocybin (4-po-dmt) is. The theory is that the acetoxy (ACO) group metabolizes to hydroxy (HO). Which seems plausible to me as 4-aco-dmt seems to be psychoactive alone and then after like 30 minutes it changes its character into what is very much like psilocin.
  15. First post here, hello fellow seekers. Funny seeing this thread here as I just (literally) got accepted for a 10-day Vipassana course. This will be my first retreat. I still haven't really understood what Vipassana is exactly. I mean I know it is focusing on the breath and body sensations, and I guess I will get a better understanding when I begin the course. It starts in 3 months. I was wondering if someone can enlighten me (lol) on what I should read and practice during these three months leading up to the retreat? Or maybe it's better to just do my regular meditation techniques (mindfulness, strong determination sitting, body scans) and just take the course with not much knowledge about the technique itself?
