How to be wise

Yes. Very recently though. I’m speaking from direct experience. I have the awareness that there is no me. I’ve already integrated Orange back in high school. I worked towards getting some of the best grades in the school, yet that gave me little happiness. I’ve moved beyond it, so to speak. Sex is not a need. You just think that it is. Purify your mind, and your body will reflect that.

Yes, that is still true. I’m not fully purified yet. But I’m working on it. 90 minutes per day.

@flowboy I’m only 19. But I have close to no desire to sleep with a girl. If I wanted to, I would have.

@Ook I’ve had tens of glimpses of non-duality, and of different facets. The funny thing is that it was never a big event, and explosion of emotion. It was very subtle, yet profound. It lasts for like a minute, and then it’s out. Some however, have just stuck with me. I didn’t even realise till much later, that’s how subtle it was.

“You are delusional and ignorant,” is that really true? Is it in your direct experience?

@Tony 845 Well, if the shadow is still intact, then of course. Just yesterday morning I became conscious that there is no me, and yet I still felt fear. Until the shadow is fully purged, fear isn’t going anywhere.

@iamnotahumanbeing I guess the only obstacle to lying down would be that you would fall asleep, but if you have overcome that problem, I find no problem with it. I meditate Indian Yoga style: crossed legs, up straight, hands crossed and resting below my navel.

And can you really know that?

That’s not my experience. I have a permanent awareness that nothing exists ‘behind my back,’ so to speak. If I’m not seeing it right now, it’s not real. But sometimes, my mind starts wondering whether that is really true. And in those moments, I think about the amount of confidence and certainty that enlightened teachers have, and in that moment, all doubts cease. It’s amazing how those enlightened teachers are just so sure of it. I guess doubting comes when you have a partial enlightened view.

@Rebec If you mean evolution wise, then I’m not so sure that consciousness is increasing. What Leo said about increasing complexity makes sense, but when you consider that the universe has always existed, that theory breaks apart. If the universe existed for infinity, then we should have been infinitely evolved by now. For if you say it takes x amount of years to get this evolved, I can simply grab that from the infinite amount of years we already had. But I don’t know really. That’s just a paradox that I thought of. My mind is open to any explanation.

@Leo Gura well, you could be right. I’m still clearing away my shadow. One rule I do follow though, is that I never act out of any negative emotion. If even the tiniest of fear/anger arises within me, I get to Work on it right away. As for what arises, it’s none of my business. My body just moves with it. I have no choice.

@Leo Gura You don’t get it. I’m not doing anything. I’m letting go of doing. After you see the world as an illusion, doing ceases. Decisions and actions are made spontaneously. I’m only following whatever arises to me. Remember that other people don’t exist. You said that elegantly in the beginning of the video. There’s nothing to do, so let go of doing and let the spontaneity take over.

Explain.

Materialist paradigm much? The world exists only as thoughts and beliefs; it is not real. So voting really does not matter. The future is an illusion; only beliefs and thoughts. Same with the past. As for whether or not I vote, I really don’t bother with that. Doership is an illusion. Whether or not you vote will be decided by the body after you clear it of all its shadow/fears. It will think and move on its own.

I’m not sure how this fits into enlightenment, but there exists a very astounding result when you think about infinity:

@TheAvatarState But it surprises me that such a result exists (relatively speaking), and even more they use it in physics! A hard-nosed science. Now you can’t dismiss it as just abstraction.

@GabeN just words. Unless you have a direct experience of it, you will confuse it for concepts. Btw, don’t take Leo too literally. A lot of things he said was false, if taken literally. But he is pointing to something valid. Discard the pointers, and find God.
