  1. Of course not. Notice that you do not have direct experience of a pain receptor, nor have you had in the past. It only exists as a concept in your mind. Well, who knows. What we do know, though, is that somebody early on in human evolution believed that pain is real, and has spread that belief across human society. Without such a concept, no pain. Of course, this doesn’t mean that your body will not scream or cry. These are sometimes just reflexes of the body, independent of you.
  2. @Tistepiste who said that babies feel the pain. Of course they don’t. They cry and scream, but we project our beliefs onto the crying and screaming, hence we believe that they feel pain. As evidence, can you remember ever feeling pain as a baby. You couldn’t even remember when you were a baby, because your mind did not yet create ‘reality.’ As a baby, you were living in nothingness. Your body screaming and crying is separate, because those were reflexes of the body. The body cried on its own without you existing. As for when you manifested pain, it was the first time you believed it. You heard from your parents, tv, society, that people feel pain, and you believed it. That’s why today you ‘feel’ pain. You believe that you are supposed to feel pain when something strikes you, and hence you anticipate or remember it. Quite radical, I know. But look at the potential this gives you. If you fix your mind, physical pain ceases to be a problem.
  3. @Leo Gura You talked about your father in one of your videos. What spiral dynamics stage would you say he is at?
  4. @Good-boy happens to us all my friend.
  5. @Tistepiste It’s not really ‘thinking about it,’ in my experience. The subconscious mind does a lot of thinking without you being conscious of it. When you put your hand in boiling water, the physical pain you feel is either remembered (the past) or anticipated (the future). If your (subconscious) mind is very still, you will feel no pain.
  6. Physical pain doesn’t occur in the body. It occurs in the mind.
  7. @Shiva But you can’t live well by protecting your body. You might get cancer tomorrow. Then it’s goodbye to ‘living well.’
  8. I found this amazing YouTube channel, of what seems to be a stage Green Muslim girl and how she lives her life. It’s quite amazing to be honest. She integrates Islam with Stage Green values, which I didn’t think was possible. Check it out! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCO4to6GaDElWA9sV3SrPhhw
  9. @Leo Gura Until a truck hits you tomorrow. You just can’t have health.
  10. @Shin I’m happy for you, my very sweet friend.
  11. Yes. Yes, it should give you a notification. Check your notification settings. If you follow a thread, it should notify you as soon as anyone replies to that thread, regardless of whether or not they quoted you/name-tagged you.
  12. A Muslim and an atheist debate about the origin of the universe. But what amazed me was how intellectual this Muslim fellow was, given that he is stage blue. Don Beck says in the audiobook ‘Spiral Dynamics Integral’ that a stage blue person is capable of reaching the top of Maslow’s hierarchy. It seems like stage blue can be nearly as intelligent as a stage orange person.
  13. @Harikrishnan @Serotoninluv It’s funny I actually know this guy (Mohammad Hijab). He teaches English in a nearby school. I often see him walking across the street.
  14. @Tom T I’ve thought about doing that in the past. Just living in a zen temple in the mountains and meditating all day long sounds quite romantic. But then again, what is wrong with your present reality. And I mean right here now, are there any problems. If not, then you are already in your perfect zen temple right now. You’re just not aware of it.
  15. Ever since an experience that I had last week, my body has been oozing with an energy of Love. Love mainly for other people. However, today it went to another level... All of a sudden, my heart started pounding very fast, and I started feeling an extreme attraction towards almost every person that I remembered! This attraction is not sexual in nature; I have no desire to see any of them naked. This attraction is romantic, though. Even as I type right now, my heart feels like it is burning with this Love. It hurts that I don’t know how to deal with this. This has never happened to me before in my life. I would really appreciate if anyone knew about something like this, how to deal with this. Right now, it’s only getting stronger. My heart feels like it is burning. It does not feel very pleasant.
  16. @Jack River What is your experience of the present moment? Spiritual teachers say that it is an illusion, but I don’t have the experience of this? Do you also see that the present moment is not real?
  17. @Jack River yes man. The process of purging my mind and ego is a painful one. But also very worth it.
  18. @Girzo But that feeling also comes with thoughts of being attracted to people. Surely that isn’t caused by sitting too much!
  19. @MsNobody Thank you for sharing.
  20. @Nahm Yes. A lot of times it feels like my entire body is being fuelled with the energy of Love. But I still have a sharp pain in the heart. Thank you for sharing. @Jack River I will attempt it. Thank you. @Girzo Thank you. I will wait for it to pass (or change).
  21. I understand where you’re coming from. Thank you. @Bluebird Yes that is right. It is a sharp pain in the heart. I will follow your advice. Thank you a lot.
