  1. Not a movie, but Until Dawn is even more disturbing as it has an interactive component. In terms of movies I don't think I have anything to offer.
  2. Go to notap.com where you'll find a supportive anti-water community.
  3. I only know three or four in this list
  4. Primary: 1.7 Secondary: 2.3
  5. There's a physiological need, as when holding in your pee or wanting to sneeze. An important reaction after doing it is relief!
  6. Nice. Also many seemed to conflate their hatred and disgust at Joel's death with a bad story. Neil also confirmed that Naughty Dog is done with Uncharted. Oh well.
  7. What does this mean? Is it seriously just 1? Oh man, the perfect score for a narcissist.
  8. @Osaid robot parrot.
  9. You're right. I was assuming that you'd pick one of the latest high-end ones. Personally, I'd just follow your advice and buy one from two or three years ago, especially if all I'm using it for is basic tasks.
  10. For Wordpress, you could use the Genesis framework and its themes or the GeneratePress plugin. These are about theming, appearance, etc.
  11. Apple probably still steals some of your data but they seem to take these matters a bit more seriously than some other Android manufactures. I would definitely not use a dirt cheap smartphone but a mid-range one. And just in case, if you're gonna pick Android, I wouldn't buy a phone from a Chinese company. Samsung and Google are probably your best bets. Frankly, if you don't mind Apple's walled garden and have the money for it, iPhone is what I recommend. It's a walled garden, and I think that's one reason why it might be safer than Android in certain ways.
  12. Pretty insightful so far. I'm on chapter 7. The book hooked me almost immediately. Robert's a wise guy. Love many of his findings on creation and the creative process. Powerful stuff. Needs to be contemplated in order to be grasped.
  13. You recognize them as such, ie become conscious that you're holding a particular belief and how you're doing it in your experience, drop the belief and exchange it for a more empowering one. Or you try to drop it without exchanging it for another. I'd suggest to change your relationship towards beliefs. Hold them as tools, toss out stupid ones and don't confuse them with whatever's true. Most likely a new, deeper sense of not-knowing will emerge. Learn to delve into this state, do not immediately run away from the discomfort. Whether you believe X or Y, neither is true, and will never be. It's a belief, something you think about
  14. I currently store all of my insights and contemplations in a folder called Reflections. It ultimately depends on what you like. Simple is best. I'm happy with using a simple structure. Overcomplicating your structure can be a trap.
  15. The most optimal one in the long term is likely a whole-foods, mostly plant based diet with some animal products, especially when dealing with deficiencies. Source: Michael Greger's work and Healing With Whole Foods.
  16. Those assertions sound too airy-fairy. Why bring up the absolute when talking about pleasure and pain? Why conflate them? If there's pleasure, there has to be pain. They co-exist as the same dynamic. Consider that pleasure is based on pain -- the motivation itself to pursue pleasure is already based on the assessment of a presently painful or "less than" condition. As hearsay, I can say that pain is a thought. Now, in order to really grasp that point some serious contemplation is needed on my part. So I better get to work.
  17. @Leo Gura geez and I thought that it was a silly American fad. People get stuck in stupid stuff.
  18. Spot on. Clear example of how destruction is easier and more convenient than creation.
  19. I wouldn't lean only on inspiration because it generally doesn't last for very long. As any other feeling, it comes and goes. It's useful as a compass. It needs to be something you like, and that's for you to figure out and decide. Once you're clear, intent to master it. Pursuing mastery isn't a fantasy, will kick your ass, and it's the way to be happy with whatever you pursue. It boils down to creating your life around what you want. Make sure that it is what you want. If you want to be a writer, then that'd be the way to go!
  20. Activities that create unnecessary suffering: Resisting your experience Comparing your experience to a future, so-called better one Comparing your life and self to those of others Identifying with meaningless or trivial things Pursuing ideals Desiring what you don’t have Living as if your thinking and actions were inconsequential
  21. What about legumes? Don't you dare take away chickpeas from my life.
