  1. Are you maximising other areas of your life too? Do you have an attractive lifestyle? Are you maximising your looks (gym, style)? Looks, money, status and game are all important, despite what the PUAs tell you.
  2. And I will wait until you come to Australia The weather is lovely over here!
  3. Similar thing happened to me when I was watching the video. I started contemplating what language actually is, and that it's just pure sounds with no instrinsic meaning, and it really fucked with my sense of reality and I had a mini freak out.
  4. Yeah I watch it, it's pretty valuable in terms of entertainment goes I think! I loved in the White Christmas episode how sitting and having nothing to do was a form of torture.
  5. Todd Valentine has a free course, Winnergame.
  6. Go pickup I think. It'll provide more growth through having to learn social skills and putting yourself outside of your comfort zone more. Those skills will stay with you for the rest of your life. Do career, wealth, or social circle as an end in themselves because you want to. You don't want to be relying on indicators such as wealth because it may attract the wrong kind of women into your life. Also if you play the social circle game, you're probably going to have to surround yourself with people who aren't into self actualisation in order to get access to the hottest girls. That'd involve club promoters, DJ etc who live the part animal lifestyle, which would be a distraction.
  7. This buddhist teacher gives a nice addition and says basically the same thing as Leo's brain video
  8. Same with Yoga in general.
  9. I think 100-200 years is a bit optimistic
  10. In this video, he goes on to explain the presuppositions of science, where are themselves not/could ever be scientifically tested. For example the Species-Individual Structure, which would state individual 'things' should exhibit the same properties universally. This presupposition of science must already be accepted as true, therefore science cannot objectively test its own presuppositions. Is there scientific method itself therefore a strange loop that isn't grounded in anything ultimately?
  11. Is was he is talking about in the first video basically Leo's version of Absolute Infinity?
  12. Yeah Tumeric is one of the most healthy things out there. I used to take Curcumin, which is the active ingredient in tumeric. Specifically BCM-95 which is the most potent and effective form.
  13. If you had to invent a philosophy that was polar opposite of non duality in every way, it would be Ayn Rand's objectivism.
  14. Anybody know of a tangible, proven way to increase intelligence?
  15. I deactivated Facebook the other day. I also stopped Snapchat and never had Instagram. Loving it so far, it's mostly just toxic noise, and egos trying to self aggrandise, and will encourage yourself to do so. Plus it's just a time waster and addicting. If you're using it for business purposes, I suppose you could just use an account for admin use of your page only.
  16. Brightmind is Shinzen Young's recently released meditation app.
  17. @Leo Gura how would you demonstrate evolution is non random? Is there evidence? Or is it a direct consciousness kind of insight?
  18. Just listened to an interesting podcast on Chris Knight. The guy who spent 27 years alone in the woods. He is apparently he most solitude human being the podcast guest could find in all his research. They mention in this episode that he seemed far more content with his life than most "normal" people, he spent most of his time doing "nothing", and he never got bored nor even understood the concept. Also, rather than feeling alone, he felt connected to the whole universe, and after a while, he wasn't sure "where he and the forest began". Ultimate case study of lifestyle minimalism perhaps he was seeking enlightenment without knowing it? Here's the link for those interested: https://www.artofmanliness.com/2017/11/21/last-true-hermit/
  19. "Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day You fritter and waste the hours in an off hand way Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town Waiting for someone or something to show you the way Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today And then one day you find ten years have got behind you No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking And racing around to come up behind you again The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older And shorter of breath and one day closer to death Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way The time is gone the song is over, thought I'd something more to say" About finding God/enlightenment. George Harrison was into Hindu philosophy. Cool song.
  20. Was gonna link this you beat me to it Looks good though
  21. I've been through a lot of this myself. What worked better than trying to convince myself I'm not alone, is to just accept it. Worst case scenario, I am the only being in the universe. So what? Like Leo says in his loneliness video, if you get in touch with being this won't be an issue. It's only the separate self that would have these kinds of concerns.
  22. I think I needed to hear this. I'm seeing this girl atm, and because of all the PUA theory I've consumed I have trouble being myself. I've become hyper paranoid of doing anything that could be considered "beta" like being too nice, because it could lower my "value" in her eyes.
