  1. I've had DP from weed. It's the worst thing I've ever experienced. Stay away from all weed, tobacco, alcohol and caffeine. I know everyone says this but you just gotta live your life and you'll forget about it. You never really feel yourself recover because if you did that would mean you'd still be ruminating on it. It's more like one day you realise it's not as big of an issue any more.
  2. @Extreme Z7 Destiny is solid. He’s still a lefty, but he just has a decent understanding of economics and understands that central planning and full blown socialism doesn’t actually work
  3. Please vote out that god awful human being.
  4. @Leo Gura Whilst he is unpopular, his base will definitely go out and vote for him. That is the main worry. Having a Democrat that will actually motivate the swing voters and the blue base to go out and vote is how they can beat him. This wouldn't be an issue if you guys had compulsory voting lol
  5. https://m.youtube.com/user/destiny/featured I think Twitch streamer/YouTuber Destiny is pretty good. Whilst there’s a bit of nonsense on his channel there’s some really great long form discussions about specific policy issues
  6. He’s pretty right wing and gives softball interviews to alt righters
  7. @Jed Vassallo That sounds great, however how many people evolve to that point? People with such low level of insecurity must surely be very rare.
  8. https://www.youtube.com/user/IntegralNaked/videos This Youtube channel is the only tier two channel that covers politics I have come across so far
  9. @Leo Gura thoughts on marriage then? Or thoughts on open relationships?
  10. Journalist Mehdi Hasan is a good example of a solid green Muslim
  11. If all mystics are radical lefties why is even Ken Wilber, somebody who’s woke af and aware of the spiral critical of the modern left for going too far?
  12. @Leo Gura from your experience do you think it really is possible for a fairly normal dude to get really fucking good at this? sometimes I wonder if there’s a limit given your innate personality traits (introverted etc)
  13. Not sure if he's posting a vid today or not
  14. Puts forward the case that the left (green) should be more blue, which is interesting
  15. Watching the Majority Report, especially Michael Brooks go to town on Rubin and Harris is oddly satisfying to watch
  16. That’s good to know cause my mind is usually racing with self analytical thoughts when I talk to people which probably makes me awkward lol
  17. At least post it as a blog video!
  18. https://mobile.twitter.com/jbporcleric?lang=en The above Twitter page is so illustrative and hilarious. Quotes about gender by Islamic fundamentalist or JBP!?
  19. @Leo GuraTo play devils advocate wouldn’t Western values be superior according to the Spiral Dynamics metric? It is higher up in the spiral than purple/blue societies. I have family members who are really into the whole Western Civ thing and I struggle to effectively talk them out of it.
  20. Particularly for Perth, which is off the radar even for most Aussies
  21. I used to be into the whole libertarian/conservative political thing. I found it was a big part of my identity. After experiencing non-duality I found it basically impossible to still cling to those views. I think it’s good to be open minded about public policy and not to be swayed by ideology too far either way. I can speak with confidence about this to other ideologues cause I know exactly what it’s like to be triggered by “the left” and “PC culture” all the time, and you just feel more conscious and aligned to true when you stop judging these people.
  22. So every time I reach a new level in my meditation and my general awareness level, I get a backlash and start having low consciousness cravings (food, porn, internet) that I had no issue with before. Anyone else get these ego backlashes? How do I deal with them? Should I completely resist the cravings or go with it as long as its not in excess, if the long term trend is good?
