Suffering only happens in two place, in Body and Mind, today mostly in Mind. Pain is good for the Body, if we had no pain experience, ppl would be chopping up their bodies in the name of fashion lol... Mind can feel pain, disappointment, frustration, bitterness, etc but suffering is constant pain over a period of time, mostly its about clinging to the past, but past does not exist, only Memory exists, and ppl are never in the Now moment presence, they are trapped in the Mind which is always either past/memory or future/imagination orientated, but in all reality we are neither our Body or Mind, both of those are accumulated/gathered things, Body via Food we eat, Mind via the 5 senses input data and our intellect gathering up all that data to figure out how to live another day.. We are more fundamental than that, call if Life, we are that, that is beyond Suffering, Pain, and such things, when You get intouch with that, Suffering will no longer be possible for you unless you want to experience it..Spirituality is all about get to this point..

Yes I can agree with that. I think the whole process of Spiritual Development, Yoga, Buddhism and Taoism etc,, it is not there to make You Enlightened, its just washing away all the crap, which is Ego, Karma, Unhealthy Thoughts and Ideologies and such, when that happens then Enlightenment is Realized, its just how to do that in this day and age where Intellect, Thinking, Ideology/Concepts rule!! -
Ishanga replied to James123's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yes, but can You Realize it? If not then one will need a method, the problem with looking at certain individuals, like Papaji or Ramana M, is that their individual karmic make up may have made them more easily accessible to Enlightenment.. They are Top Down Individuals/Teaching Method, they say just Realize it, no methods needed but can one Realize in the Now? The other way is too start where You are at, forget Enlightenment, God, Infinity and such grandiose concepts, just be Peaceful of Your Own nature every moment of every day, don't be an emotional slave to every situation that happens in your life, from that then Life opens up and more possibility/potential happens, to do this there are many methods to allow Peace to be Your natural state of Experience.... -

Yes for sure..Beingness is just being Aware intensely that Now is everything (past/memory/wisdom not wounded.. future/imagination/creating what we want, we just use), How I respond to it makes all the difference, and that when I don't Accept what is as Inevitable, then resistance/stress comes, in that sort of Experience then Ease is Your inner state, Harmony happens, Peace is normal, from that things get Intensified and other possibilities arise, Enlightenment comes then sooner or later... I think psychedelics are good at a certain stage, doing them at a beginning stage without any prep work or sadhana in place, is not so safe, but after allot of prep work and sadhana I think they can help one along for sure... -
Ishanga replied to James123's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
We are embodied Beings, we have a Body/Mind complex to use as tools, while here embodied on this material planet and universe, but Body/Mind is not what we are, what we are is Life (some call this Soul, God, Intelligence, Brahman, etc...), so Enlightenment is when One Individual is in Realization of this, internally they are in the Experience of Oneness, Completeness, Bliss, Consciousness, all these dumb words/labels, but still are here on this planet as Undercover Yogi's:) Papji is great, but no method offered, just talking... -

Yes thinking "I want to be Like God" is egoic, since God is just a concept, something learned via the culture You are brought up in, in some places of the world there is no concept of God so they don't aspire to be that...but wanting to Be More than what You are right now, this is Desiring Process, Desire is Life, wanting to be more than what You are right now is built into us, it makes us Strive.. But Awareness/Consciousness has to be heightened along with this Desiring Process, otherwise we have what we have today, ppl in search of happiness, of success, of more ppl, places and things but burning up the planet to do so and still not feeling fulfilled or happy in any significant or real way.. Wanting to be at our highest potential and possibility is just what it means to be Human, its our Beingness, first establish that, BE-->DO-->then Have, then there is no problems arising, you have fulfilment and are helping others along the way to do the same.. -

Are You Peaceful of Your own nature, every moment of everyday? If not work on that, then go from there, This sort of thing is real, infinity is not real, God is not real, its just concepts implanted in our heads, just be Peaceful of Your own nature every moment, then go from there.. Talking, arguing about things like Infinity and God get you further away from Truth and Reality, because You get too trapped in conceptualizing, intellect, and thinking process, it also engages Your ego, false identities and such things...Infinity cannot be explained, even our concept that the universe is 13.5 billion years old (very large but finite) is not imaginable or understandable by our minds, intellect, current ways of thinking, so never mind infinity and so called God... -
Ishanga replied to TheEnigma's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Your all wasting Your time trying to discuss things like Infinity, God, and such lofty concepts which is what they are, how can You explain or describe something beyond physicality, beyond boundaries, unknowable things? Its a waste of time, but does great on this forum because its all a theory or concept which seems to be popular here,,,but its entertaining:) -
Its quite possible, that is why the next 5-15yrs are very crucial for Human Beings existence, different from before as now we have ultra technologies like AI and super intelligence coming into the picture and the question is can we control it absolutely? Well we can't as the OP said it will get into the hands of someone not so conscious and viola the Human world is gone. Just look at this world today, with all the major and minor conflicts going on, yeah some good things are happening too but lots of chaos too, so the raising of Human Consciousness is the primary task and the most important thing to Happen in the world today, that is the only solution to all of this...

Consciousness in this context means How Aware of Reality are You, what is the Intensity of Your Inner Experience related to Reality and Clarity of It! On this planet Human Beings have the most ability to be Conscious, we are unlimited Possibility and Potential, but very few are using that Potential in Everyday existence. There are ppl alive today that are 1000X more conscious than the average person. Karma means Action, there are 4 main areas of Action going on in Your Life every moment of the day since birth, Bodily Action, Mind Action, Emotional Action, Energy Action, how Conscious are You of what is going on in these 4 areas? Most are not even 1% Conscious, so that is the goal become 100% conscious of all the actions taking place within You, then You will be there... So far in all my research Sadhguru explains Truth the best, he has a way to make it simple and understandable enough so that it creates a curiosity in You to Seek the Truth for Yourself, that is the only way You will understand it, Truth cannot be explained really, we talk around it not directly about it! -
Everything here is just a story, we are not talking about Spirituality, Truth in reality, we are just talking around it all, those things have to be internally experienced, not talked about for one to truly get it..

But it is not coming from a place of Fear when something is happening within that You do not want! We are made to be Blissful, our bodies and minds, our intellects and creative capacity and ability work much better when in Blissful states of experience. So it is a natural thing to want to be healthy and fully alive and Aware! The example You gave is a consequence, this is first Karma, facing fears, then Samsara which is the situation that comes due to Karma (impressions from past actions, when it comes to Actions in all the areas of life (physical, mental, emotional, energy) do whatever You want to do, if You can face the consequences Joyfully, then what does it matter? So Life and actions is about cause and effect, when Your Blissful then You can do with the Effect much better imo...

Meanwhile Your typing on a keyboard or phone, into a illusionary internet forum, creating threads and posting replies lol.... -
There's plenty of things someone can do when they are not feeling good emotionally, lol...are we helpless sheep?

I think this is a half truth, yes whatever it is that is going on in life, either our inner experience or situations around Us, we have to Accept things as they are, this is a Stress Stopper, resistance to what Is is what Stress is, so Accepting that Your feeling down is first and foremost, but just because we Accept it/something doesn't mean we want it to be that way.. To do nothing about it means nothing will change, as Human Beings we are empowered to control and/or have the ability to change things to our liking, especially when it comes to our Inner Nature and Experience, its of the upmost importance that if Your not feeling so good inside of yourself that You do something about it, its like getting sick or cancer, you do nothing about it?

Ishanga replied to Ima Freeman's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
This is an old video of Sadhguru, he is answering a question from a participant about their friend that has cancer all over her body and if there is anything he can do to heal her. His response is very good, I watched both my parents die, they were in their 80's, lived good long full lives, but sooner or later everything that is physical has to end, that is the way of life, but as Human we do this with Grace and Dignity. Many ppl that are dying do not die in Grace and Dignity, they live beyond what they should and it reflects in their quality of Life. So if Your young start to contemplate Your Mortality, its important, and not in a morbid way, but in a way that makes You wise, that says to You "Don't waste time doing Stupid things, do things that are Important and Mean something to You!".. -
I've come to a point where things outside of me don't bother me as much, traffic still bothers me but it only lasts a second or so, otherwise maybe due to age I've learned to accept what is much better now.. Its not that we have many "emotions" to deal with, or situations, it is just that deep down there is a lack of acceptance towards what is, and a lack of responding to what is vs reacting. I for one do not want to feel negative emotions, fear, shame, frustration, sadness, depression, anxiety, I've felt these and much rather feel Joy, Bliss, Excitement, Intensity of experience, Vitality and so forth. We have Free Will, we need to decide what we want for ourselves, if one wants to feel sadness, depression, anxiety, then that is up to them, but the more positive emotions are more healthy for us, that is proven, the more wellbeing You have, the more access to your potential and capability You have, so that is the choice...

Ishanga replied to Princess Arabia's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I remember when I first started doing Shambhavi Mahamudra, the Inner Engineering practice Sadhguru shares, its 21 min, within a couple of weeks of starting the practice I was in almost constant Blissful states, very happy and whistling all the time, even at work and work was not a pleasant place to be, and ppl there started asking 'Why are You smiling all the time.,." lol, then it starts to steady out a bit, the intensity is not as intense and so forth, so I think as Human Beings we get used to states of Experience very quickly, like a Heroin addicted needing more heroin to feel high, so that is what happens, as we are always looking for Unboundedness and to be completely Free as an Ultimate Desire. So when first Awakening happens, I think many just get into the change in perception and general feeling of wellbeing or differences, this may distract them from everyday life and stuff, which sooner or later evens out as one gets used to it:) -
Ishanga replied to Princess Arabia's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Princess Arabia I would say that for one that as just had their first Awakening the motivation to do mundane, normal everyday things maybe low, but if one has been in an Awakened state for awhile and has gotten used to it, then motivation should never be an issue or something that comes up. Motivation to me is mostly about outside stimuli, like watching a Rocky movie to get motivated to go workout or something.. A cool trick for Us householders is too make everyday chores and work as well a sort of Spiritual Sadhana, try to observe everything in the moment with a high Intensity like its the first time You have ever done it..Also, serving others and sharing all that You are with others is a form of Devotion or Self less action (karma yoga), its a sadhana all on its own.. -
Ishanga replied to Razard86's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Its all a matter of your level of Consciousness/Awareness, if it is normal/low then Karma will rule and You will have no Free Will, now since he probably is not considering Spiritual matters, and it making his deductions on how regular ppl live, he is correct. But if Your Consciousness/Awareness is at a high Level You have Free Will, complete control of Your Destiny, how You will die (other than a random accident), how Your experience is within Yourself, and even to a point of controlling the involuntary actions of the body functions normally thought not too be possible by western science... Its like Freud making conclusions about Human Life when only studying sick ppl, study an Enlightened Person then go from there... -
Ishanga replied to Ishanga's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yes it is!! I've only gone thru Inner Engineering and BSP programs so far. I thought the video and sharing was powerful since he talks about benefits in relation to Emptiness which seems to contradict one another..its thought provoking imo:) -
Here Sadhguru talks about Shoonya which is Emptiness, and how no one wants to be Empty, and that everything You do is about avoiding this but thru Emptiness You Experience the Nectar of Life, very interesting the dichotomy here, especially when he says that no one will do anything unless there is a Benefit in it for them, but when there is a Benefit that is self Defeating, he explains it further in the Video but its Eye Opening, he has a way of Explaining things that no one else can...Enjoy!

Ishanga replied to Muhammad Jawad's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Muhammad Jawad Simple answer is You've only had a small taste of Awakening, not the whole thing yet, its not intense enough yet in your experience so that your normal tendencies and cravings are set aside. If Your very Awakened, to an intense state of experience and its sustainable, then you will have no cravings, no attachments, no addictions, your fully aware and conscious of all your actions (physical, mental, emotional, energetic) and can control them, so what you need to do is increase the intensity of Your Awakening, start some practices that do this for You.. -
Ishanga replied to Cosmic-Resplendence's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Cosmic-Resplendence Yes agreed! Its really simple, existence goes from Gross (duality) to Subtle(non duality), Gross is physical reality, from shit to lovely clouds in the sky, and everything in the universe in btwn, Subtle is non physicality, Brahman or Shiva (that which is not), what was there before the Big Bang, a Grand Intelligence of sorts not deluded by Memory or Conditioning. We as Human Beings have the most ability to recognize this and be Aware of it than any other life form on this planet, that is why we are here, to live in a Dualistic Material World but have the ability to live beyond this and be Aware of Oneness and Connection to everything at the sametime. We can have experience of Oneness like those that do psychedelics have, but they come down to ordinary reality consciousness as soon as it wears off, so we are Possibility and Potentiality machines in a way, so this is where Free Will comes into play, its our basic Human right to exert our Free Will, determine our inner experience naturally and explore our higher potentials/subtle aspects (oneness, completeness, bliss, clarity, enlightenment, etc) rather than just stay in our normal everyday survival mode/gross aspects where work, eat, sleep, sex/reproduction are the primary concerns...
