  1. As far as I can remember, they also talked about the worst chairs to seat on, like the very confortable rolling chairs with armrest you never want and have to stand up. The more a chair is inconfortable, the more it makes you want to move.
  2. I don't think monks sit on chairs or lie in their beds... this is the problems here, read my previous post and watch the video. Sitting in full lotus on the floor doesn't seem to be a problem as it requires some effort in a level that is no perceivable by the eyes, like a yoga position. The less effort you'll do, the less healthy is going to be on the long run.
  3. @Falk Hi Falk Yeah, I posted this in case you really wanted to make a habit out of it and for general knowledge... I just learned about that too, I mean who would have thought about it, we seat so much since school...! Seating one or two hours a day should be fine. For my part I still seat a lot (today 6h!) because of my hobby, even though I could do it standing up but I'm just lazy, I love to seat down, chill & play... But hey, apparently the body doesn't like it. And we can see this with the amounts of back, neck problems rising seating at work, but it is apparently only the tip of the iceberg, as we generally will age sooner if we don't keep moving and play with the attraction of the earth. But I don't think people are fat because they sit a lot, I think they are for most of them fat because of their diet. So what I do now is standing up more often, thank to this convinsing information, I try to make a habit out of it. Take care

  5. Congratulations@Falk I mean wow! I'm learning the guitar hardcore style 2-3-6-8 up15 hours a day, so I've been seating for many many long hours the last 3 years, I could observe my body's response... not good man... at all! Sitting kills! This is not a joke! I learned this only recently at my own expense. Standing is not much better in that regard, the body is not supposed to be seating or lying on a chair/bed for too long. This is totally unhealthy. Seating or lying, you put yourself in micro weightlessness that every cell in your body dislikes. Shallow life whatsoever, beware of what you are doing to your body. The rule of thumb : Keep moving! It's not about the amount of time seating or standing, it's about the times you actually stand up from the seating position that will keep you healthy! We've got to play with earth attraction to keep good health, the interview above is really informative, the lady worked for the health of the astronauts at NASA and is totally worth watching if you attend sitting for long periods of time and often! Don't do this too often or you will pay the price for it in one way or another. I'm planing to make yoga again one most important task of the day. Take care

Well, I write this in the hope of finding an answer to my own question, as much as I read & listen about it, it just doesn't want to enter my mind, I think that it is just this... it just can't be really understood, the blindspots of the mind. Emotional pain and physical pain are 2 completely different things to me, at the end, I know they are not different. Emotional pain can be clearly seen as a construction of the mind by changing perspectives, changing the thinking process. Basically replacing a negative lie by a positive lie. This what I have training and more or less success with, depending on how mindful, tired, healthy I Am. For emotional pain, one can let go of thoughts and/or spin the thinking process. I can see my responsibility with these kind of pains. For physical pain it is a whole other story, you get direct lasting experience of the present moment that you wish would be some times in the future or in the past, everywhere but here & now. So I'm not my body, but the body experience pain, and I like the pain to go away. That is resistance. Pain and the " I " seems closely related. The pain just is, nothing else. The resistance of the " I " is what is causing the discomfort by associating the pain with a false sens of self that can't be in tune with what is. Only a person that has lost the self notion will experience pain as something not disturbing... So my question, beside only being that of course would be the answer to any suffering, do you know tricks or speeches of masters to make me understand that notion better? Isn't pain and fear of pain the ultimate trickery of nature for the survival of experience? If you have anything interesting to say about that subject I'll love to read your ideas, it is very abstract in my mind, it just want to stay a nice abstract concept, "oh yeah, this is not my body, this is just a body", but when you have a serious medical condition or a knife between your ribs this is a whole other story. If there is one moment you want to be enlightened, it is when you experience serious pain. Thank you all for your insights!

(not again) I mean a lot of things that I don't say, I say a lot of things that I don't mean, I don't say a lot of things that I don't mean, but I do also say I lot things that I mean too Most of the time I'm not able to say where the difference is and the fact is, it doesn't make any difference only if someone makes one and say that it is bad or good but at the end, there are just someone else's dreams about my own dreams. What is the difference anyway? Who is the " I "saying that I mean it? Me? Oh yes, I mean everything I say! Hehe! That is the trap of being my own judge! I hope you don't believe to say only things that you mean... As far as I know, you've got the same problem that I have... Self deception! What is meaningful? Meaningful like some important stuff to me like honesty, or objects, words, thoughts, dreams that have the faculty of serving my self-image? Am I a liar? Well for sure I Am a liar as my identity is based in wrong assumptions, how can it be otherwise? I can't speak the truth, but I just don't know it, would I be aware of it, I would probably shut up, wouldn't I ? Well, I'm aware of it by saying it (maybe) , but I'll soon forget about it. Let's say it this way, I'm a liar that tries his best to be honest like everybody else! All I know is that all of this doesn't make me closer to anything. To me it's just fun and games for the ego, mind chatter, blablabla... This is why I always refer to my signature to wake me up from the dream! Stopping the question-answering process brought me peace of mind, I think it is time for me to seat down and meditate! Was nice chatting with you!

Did he want to have those dreams that open my dreams of your dreams right now? I won't make a certainty out of this, but I follow your intuition... I'd just say, yeah maybe, I don't know.   10. Hi Chris, And why is there no you? To me, WHY questions can't be answered, but we surely try to find rational answers... we take the answer for rational or not. Answers to why questions will bring rise to more questions. Look at my signature. The question can be asked, but as there is no answer, the question will wether make you spin to infinity or you will take an answer that you like for reality, that will create a bigger ego. The universe is a perfect chaos/harmony, humanity, the world is in perfect chaos/harmony, humans just don't know it because of the fragmentation he does with the world, thinking he is a being evolving and interacting in it and sees himself as not a part of it, like a tree leave who would believe it could control the river that it is floating on. There is no bad or good no more than there is free will, one has been socially agreed on and changes through ages and space like a language and is actually very individual, the other one is an illusion that ego likes to take responsibility for. Didn't the video about free will from Leo convince you? So yes we have dreams, but they are still dreams.
  11. We don't have free will, there is nothing like a self agenda, there is no time and there is no you... the only thing there is awareness. Does becoming aware serves the self agenda?   13. Although the experience of no thought could be compared, it is not the same thing to achieve to quiet the mind on your own and to use any kind of substance for it. One is a vegetative state, the other one is a mindful state. The regular and too much consumption of cannabis will not make it easy for anybody to be aware of his thoughts and can increase mental noise and the lack of awareness in general... The occasional use of cannabis can increase your creativity if you are in an artistic branch, but so can meditation. Too much cannabis can make you loose the will to be creative in the first place. This plant should never be smoked as it looses 90% + of it's beneficial medicinal properties through combustion and never be mixed it with tobacco. In my view, cannabis is a medicine, not a recreational drug. Vaping or drinking it in a tea, with a some fat of any kind, if you need the high, it is the best and healthiest solution. If you look for other of its health properties, cannabis doesn't have the same medicinal properties when cold or cooked, so juicing or eating it raw with the leaves and everything will give you tremendous medicinal benefits without getting high. You need to heat up the plant at about 80Celsius (176 Fahrenheit) for the THC to have a psychotropic effect as THC looses one of its carbons atoms when it reaches that temperature. Beware, even though raw cannabis doesn't give a high effect, it actually depends what you are mixing it with... citrus fruit juice for exemple can cook fish too... so you might get high on raw cannabis too. Cannabis lost its soul the day human beings doings thought to be a good idea to mix plants to have the strongest THC content that they can spray with tons of chemicals on and is now also available completely genetically modified by Monsanto & Co without you to know anything about it. Business is business!

  17. How much did you meditate????? No why question can be really answered, what you are going through is the 1st realization that your mind is capable of asking questions that don't make any sens. Take this state as an opportunity. Be thankful for being in this stage. I actually could give answers to your questions that would make sens to you, but you would not get closer to the truth. And they will lead you to new questions. Most of the questions anybody asks is not legitimate for there is no answer containing the truth, the answer might only contain satisfaction of rationalization, something that fit in your understanding of the world. You are confused between knowing and doing the work, nothing more, nothing less. Nobody can do the work for you. Watching leo's video can lead you to more drama if you don't do the work. What you need to do is not finding answers but stopping the question-answering process, you need to quiet the mind to see through the illusion, taking distance from the voice you hear in your head. Now you only have more noise in your head. Until now you have learned to quiet the mind through finding an answer that you like, now you we have to see that the question is out of place. Why not taking a baby who gets eaten by dogs directly, or images of a slaughterhouse ? I've been into metal and I have friends they still do, I haven't nothing against it, but I doubt that will bring you self actualisation and happiness so this is a reason why I don't listen to Hip hop and Metal, or very seldom, and not too agressive type of music, they can effect your mood and mentality, your ability of positive thinking, I use to like any kind of trash music and art. Now I just watch it with care and respect. I've visited HR Giger (creator of Alien) museum http://art.vniz.net/en/giger/Giger-Erotomechanics_VII.html , I tell you, even though it's great, after 2-3 hours of this, I felt like I wanted to vomit. When you realize the effect that colors and lights have on your mood, than watching and liking pictures like this can for sure be poison for your brain. Your message touched me, can I ask you how old you are? In my opinion, friends who tell another friend to kill himself are not friends. So your friends are no more your friends, there not your enemy, everyone could be considered your friend or your enemy. They are what they are, no need to put any judgment on them. Friends are changing with time, you don't need friends to be happy! Friends are external factors, happiness is coming from the inside, not the outside. Why are you afraid of loneliness? Why do I love it? The difference between you and me is the view on things, the ability to change perspective. Loneliness is fucking excellent man! Learn the guitar or any instrument, you could spend the lower self time to self actualize yourself instead and learn things that you could not imagine yourself doing a few months ago, meditate! Don't be afraid of learning hard stuff, do them step by step. Today, you can learn anything with internet, they are no more excuses for not knowing something. You are in a victimhood dynamic, you can change that. There is enough information here to know what to do to get you out of that dynamic. The information alone will not help you, you have to work! If you can't tell you friends how you feel, I would take them one by one and see if you can have a serious conversation with the one or two that could listen best and have influence on the group dynamic, without having expectations. Actually it might even be better to have negative expectations, about the outcome of the discussions. If they don't want you around, they don't want you around, there is nothing wrong with you or them, it is just the way it is. For insults, see your responsibility in the emotions you feel, you are the one creating the negative emotions about their insults. That is the truth! These are just words... The lie is believing in the voice that you hear in you head, not the voice you hear in you ears. This is by the way also the reason you are insecure. You have to do the work, self help book reading and videos watching is not enough. There is some brainwashing to do to give you self confidence, this is mental and written work! Again, none of the advice one can give you will help just by understanding their words. Of course you don't want to be expose to insults all the time, like I would not want to be expose to your avatar all the time as they will, could, get you unconsciously with time even though you are doing it the right work. "You just can't make new friends"... WTF???? Learn how to make new friends! You can't now, if you tell yourself now that you can't. You can tomorrow if you tell yourself you can. It's like someone saying he can't stop smoking, or banging his head on the wall, no more no less. Oh man, I'm going to spend this day on my own, and this is total luxury for me!!!! OH YEAH! Also telling everybody what to do without having your ego to grow is close to impossible, I can see that this is exactly what I'm doing now... It is very subtle and hides everywhere. I don't have the CD that comes with this edition. http://www.amazon.com/Meditation-For-Dummies-Audio-CD/dp/1118291441 But globally, I find those for Dummies books quiet well done for unexperienced people.
