  1. @inFlow @Breakingthewall Thx your replies. I have similar experiences and impressions. For me it seems to be a lot about letting go of conditioned practices, rules, patterns etc. Literally gaining liberation by being and acting more and more free in this world. Curious where this will lead to. Wishing you (and all others) the best and lot's of fun on the journey! I neglected that a long time but the journey and this world here is supposed to be fun here, isn't it? At least I hope...
  2. @inFlow I am very curious. How do you come to this conclusion? I kind of have a similar idea, there were two moments in my life where I felt that I dissolve, that I leave the world if I completely let go now. First time I only got scared. Second time I got scared and I clearly felt the one thing I am attached to, the one thing keeping me here. (Was scared to never see my gf again) First time I was on weed other time simple meditation. Since then I ponder if there is indeed an exit door I can take.
  3. I think that's a story you tell yourself to protect yourself in some way. I think it will bite you in the ass. If you steer people im any way without being asked to do so, it's selfish. You do it because you want people to behave in a certain way, you think you know what's right for them. If people ask you for direction it's not manipulation anymore it's a question and you answered
  4. He said nadis and meridians are "real" and chakras superimposed as symbols. His source are ancient texts he studied. I am with you re being full of shit myself or others being full of shit. So I become more careful what I express or believe - it will change anyway. Anicca, anicca Re chakras etc: I did not study these texts, so don't know. But the texts could be full of shit, right? Also, I am not on a level to confirm or reject based on personal experience. Just pointing out his POV and how easily things can be misunderstood or (unintentionally) distorted. There's a quote: "All models are wrong but some are useful" Problem is when you are so attached to the model that you believe it's reality. Chakras are one thing. I see this also a lot with spiral dynamics for instance. Don't mistake the map for the landscape...
  5. In my experience, you have to difdifferentiate between two things: "Low Level" people you hear and read from Media etc without ever having direct experience Your own real life, first hand direct experience with such people in your personal life For everything concerning No.1 - whenever possible, I tend to to ignore it as much as possible and focus what's right in front of me, my direct experience. And when I engage with such people you describe in direct communication, and take just a little time and curiosity, non- judgemental attitude, and really listen, something interesting happens: It's impossible to not understand them. Because they open up. They not only tell theirs views their ego has taken (racism, religious dogma) but also why it they have taken this view. And it's always logical (psychological - the name already contains "logic"πŸ˜‚) Sometimes I was about to leave a conversation, then suddenly the person added just one more piece of information and everything clicked. Context matters (1:1 is different then in a group e.g.) and I am not always in the mood, or equanimous enough. But sometimes I am just curios about people and then magic happens πŸͺ„
  6. @Salvijus Maybe different experience for different people? You have a point re ego and attachment, that's sth to be careful about. It's funny because I saw a video lately from a guy that studied eastern practices and philosophy and seemed to know what he's talking about. He talked about Nadis and Chakras. He critized the western adaptation of chakras, saying they are not real but "superimposed" just symbols to believe and focus on. Now every time I hear people saying "oh it's your this and that chakra" I can not help but think of that. He also said "believes are not right or wrong, but helpful or harmful". Reaonated with me. So seems a slippery slope with believes, spiritual ego, identification etc So only thing that matters is how it feels for you personally - but believes influence how you feel so we go full circle πŸ˜‚ I think it was in this video https://youtu.be/3ODfwJBDgBs?si=iyK7Noe_3A5fv9xJ
  7. I agree with the general idea. You kind of "negotiate" cooperate, create a win-win. But in my experience it doesn't work that easily. Can't change my belief system just by telling my self things. Only in deep meditation states, then this happened more or less automatically by relaxing and simply being present. Now slowly it goes from "I have to meditate" to "Cool I mediate". Took me quite some time, though. For me: It's the experience that shapes the belief, not vice versa. Otherwise: just believe that you're happy, that there is no resistance at all, that you and the world is full of love etc. So first make your believes (blockages) conscious, then you are free to change them. So much my experience - I am open for other arguments and experiences .
  8. First part: Ok get the idea. I once became unconscious, step by step everything became darker and darker before my eyes. Then it was all black and then the "blackness" disappeared, turning into " " ( " " meaning--> nothing, non-experience) Second part: Lost in words. Lost in abstraction and definitions. If you still have the patience - can you give a concrete example? For instance, "I walk down the street and this and that happening is the change, the reflection, perspective..."
  9. For first part: Ok, got the "nothing is wrong" part now. Thanks. "But equally, the absence of limits makes constant relative movement inevitable, the apparent division into infinite perspectives" Why does absence of limits make relative movement inevitable? Why has there to be movement? For the second part: Ok, I am following re synchronicities, and movement is relative. Up until the sentence ending with "it's just a reflection" And then you make a difference between relative movements and reflections? Here I got lost I am following with the rest - reality as relations, as information, as changes of state
  10. @JowblobI think you're overcomplicating things. My personal guideline: Appreciate the differences, learn from them. Personally ,I don't want to "become a woman on my own". For that I love female beauty, emotions, smell etc way too much. And whatever you mean with "unity" - I don't know. Everybody has his/her own understanding of this. A loving and embracing hug during or after sex, or simple cuddling, even just talking with a woman I deeply connect I feel pretty united with women. Does it last? No. But nothing does.
  11. πŸ‘ I agree and important for practical life bc language sucks here in my opinion. "Could have, should have etc" is talk about potential, but it's fiction. It's is what it is, here and now, and if you "could" have done it, why not do it? Hence, everybody is always doing the best he/she can. Marc Aurel said sth like this (stoicism) but took me long time to get this I follow more or less. - Is there really no one in control? Your argument is logical but it feels different for me. For now:) - Don't get the "nothing, emptiness....is wrong" part. Can you give a concrete example pls? Might help me get your point
  12. @Breakingthewall Yeah everything is nothing. But who cares if you call it self or structure, or energy pattern, or fractal or pattern of existence? Just different words? Or am I missing the point you're making?
  13. Yeah, you can try to run away from what's necessary. But in my experience, you can't run away successfully
  14. Can you give reasons for this? My statement "Kundalini = feminine energy" is based on reading it that way. The one argument I have is that it seems more a "I need to let it happen, I need to let go, I need to let it rise" type energy, meaning more passive than active. As it is seen as sexual energy, it's more a "opening up" to it then an active, penetrating process. At least as far as I can tell up until today...
  15. You say that as if that were two different things. In my experience the one goes with the other. The more I let go, the more I can feel - something - let's call it energy moving through my body The more this happens, the more I am feel love towards me and others. The sensations in my body are just a byproduct The more this happens, the more clarity and wisdom I get re my behaviour and the behaviour of others. I remember a quote of Goenka (meditation teacher): "(...) and then everything will become so clear!" My experience is that indeed a lot of things become VERY clear
  16. Watched it an wondered about the source. "Buddhist teaching" is very broad, there are many buddhist master, teachings, schools etc. Anyone with background knowledge? Is there a real buddhist background or is it flavored with new age stuff?
  17. Horrible logistic nightmare! Infinite guest list. Infinite food. Infinite times answering the question "how old are you now? 😁
  18. Are you talking from personal experience? Because I am. I know eg a person that came to money and power by using some methods that were not "morally correct" and he does suffer from this. He tries to pushes it down, he's highly functional, and in the core he's a good guy. But when we have deep talks it is very clear that he knows what he did is not "right" and this weighs him down and kills joy and happiness. Getting away with it in the external world is one thing - he was not "punished" but he punishes himself. There is another example that comes to mind...God maybe forgives but in my experience the dharma, the law of cause and effects does not. Generally I believe in this forum too often there is talk about people and things we do not directly experience. So all we do is speculate. @AtmanIsBrahman saw your username and thought of this song https://open.spotify.com/track/2Lc8Joh6Ma2zohr0O3sJ5w?si=NBLvv8rMQu6K4UEBSPbOGg
  19. Agree with the "can't outsmart yourself" -it's just hurting ourselves. Also agree with the "don't feel remorse without seeing the impact". Take me to a butchery and I likely will eat less meat. Until then...little effect from just knowing "animals are butchered" instead of experiencing. Re your sticking point...good question. I think the answer lies a bit in the dark for everyone not really close to very corrupt people. Public images might be very different then private life. Lots of big guys in the third Reich for instance were allegedly addicted to different drugs. So I think you can numb yourself by distancing, by substances and by not being present (distraction is so easily available). Especially the last point - being present - is IMO crucial if you want to feel more. If you're disappointed and want to care more I recommend meditation retreats. Would be surprised if you sit a few Vipassana courses and still say that you don't care
  20. So what you're gonna do with all this information you gained over time?
  21. The latinas I met and I was attracted to I liked because of their confidence, their sensitivity and how they let their emotions flow - inside and outside the bedroom. No idea how representative this is - it's just my subjective circle of experience. And there is just something about Portuguese and Spanish accent that makes me crazy
  22. With infinite candles to blow out? πŸ•―οΈ ♾️
  23. Manuals are as long as necessary, as short and clear as possible. I created more than enough of them professionally and this guideline has been the most valuable teaching I received re this The point of a manual is to make best use of the item explained, not to explain how it works. Go to your car, fridge or whatever and check the manual. Does it explain how fuel is produced and burned in the car for energy? No, it says "put that kind of fuel into that hole" Telling someone a fact in a way that fails to convey the message is pointless. Which brings me again to intention: What do I want to achieve? I write for me or for others? What's the goal?
  24. First Quote: My hypothesis is that you have a incomplete understanding of communication. My arguments are: Look at how the top consultancy companies in the world operate. "Cutting through complexity" is sth you hear a lot. I was lucky to work with e.g. BCG and McKinsey Teams for quite a while and experience it first hand + my own experience in consulting, teaching and advisory service. Look at how the top speakers in the world operate. Alan Watts comes to mind. Incredible background knowledge, incredible clarity, incredible storytelling, incredible structure, incredibly on point with his words. He can talk for hours and still there is almost no superfluous information in his talks. Look at how the best teachers in the world operate. Go back to your school or university times and remenber how good teachers communciate their points The key is in my experience to KNOW ALL THE BACKGROUND INFO but to communicate only the relevant, only the essence, tailored to your audience. It's not to spit out everything, that creates confusion with both, the one communicating and the one listening Clarity and depth is shown by NOT BLABBERING OUT EVERY LITTLE DETAIL AS INTELLECTUAL MASTURBATION. As much as necessary, as little as possible is IMO the best guideline Clarity about your intention is crucial. Most of times most people just start expressing without clarity. Me too, btw! It's a process every time again: 1) Picking up information / getting aware of it 2) processing it 3) integrating it 4) communicating it clearly with words and actions Leo is not a good example. I watched some of his video but was soon turned off. My POV: First, his appearance is full of arrogance, personal bias and harmful believe systems. There are e.g. people in these forum I consider far more developed than him Second, a lot of information in his videos is only provided to paint a specific, superior picture of himself. Third, there is a other information you could leave off without loosing the message There are indeed incredible value nuggets of information, I learned precious things but I neither like his style nor bis personality. I respect him as he is but I don't like listening to him and I don't see him as role model re communication Please continue telling me how I am, what I want and what I should do. That shows immense maturity and definitely strengthens the argumentative power of your position. It also is the exact way for you that leads to growth and development It also shows me that you have read my previous post in which I stated that I was to lazy to read everything, was not interested in understanding it and do not appreciate the diverstiy provided by other people. Great job! Much Love!
