  1. Ah ok, thank you for clarifying. Yes, even several trips won’t cut it. Let me elaborate… I get what you mean. I myself have experienced delirious states in the early stages of using psychedelics that have freaked me out completely. My “base state”, which includes mental health conditions, also started to deteriorate significantly. However, these intense experiences and suffering ultimately lead me to realize that I have no choice but to open my mind to such radical degrees to overcome even those fears! The deeper you go into this work, you’ll start to discover that a delirious state is not the only state you can experience on psychedelics. If anything, that state is important to put you to the real test; to see how much you are willing to go through to understand Reality. From my experience, in order to really mature in this work, there has to be an innate and radical curiosity to appreciate Reality at ever deeper levels - yes, even the desire to understand the shittiest aspects. This means not only caring about Awakening, but also taking care of your human needs and desires. The pattern or problem I’ve been seeing from some forum members is that they’ve accessed some radically peaceful states, then they mistakenly identify that state as Reality. No! That’s not what Reality fundamentally is. Don’t just believe me, though. Only through direct experience can this understanding become real for you. This work is extremely tricky and opens up the floodgates of self-deception; this is why so few people are interested in understanding Reality, and instead would rather masquerade behind a false sense of security. ”Taking the safe route may shield you from risk, but it is often in the embrace of uncertainty where our truest selves emerge and flourish." - GPT-4 (I’m surprised GPT-4 can come up with its own original quotes!)
  2. This absolute state you are speaking about is not the ultimate reality. Remember, everything is imagined by Mind/there is nothing but Mind. You even agreed with me in another forum topic regarding Mind. How could it be, then, that a particular state is Absolute?
  3. I’m surprised Barnes & Noble is still a thing
  4. I’d also invite you to contemplate the Chinese Room thought experiment, explained by GPT-4:
  5. Whether or not any statement is true or false will all come down to you. I understand that you are finding all of these paradoxes confusing. However, the root problem lies in that you’re delegating pure understanding to another power other than yourself. I’ve been there. I’ve spent decades doing that. It simply doesn’t work in the long term. This is why mystical experiences are so important in this work, if you’re up to that challenge. All this logical analysis, fact checking, and reassurance seeking can only get you so far. — Also, consider this thought experiment: If I believe that pink zebras with unicorn horns exist, and you don’t, who is being more truthful?
  6. Of course. Science and scientists are afraid to dive deeper into psychedelics, because it has the potential to completely challenge everything that they think they know. That’s why I’m glad stuff like ketamine, cannabis, mushrooms (and soon MDMA, LSD, etc.) is approved for people with mental health conditions, because many of us already have a deep intuition that there’s something more than the material world.
  7. The ultimate realization is realizing that all mystics, stories, ideas, states of consciousness, etc. all are imagined by Mind. There’s absolutely nothing that is not imagined by Mind. If you turn this into a belief, of course we will argue for another 2000 years about how this is impossible. That’s why nobody here is AWAKE. When you are comprehend what AWAKE points to, it becomes evidently clear that all that is is YOU.
  8. Awakening is like having sex with the entire Universe. There, I said it.
  9. Nice example. It reminds me of exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy, where the patient is gradually exposed to their fears. The best part about ERP therapy is the therapist never forces you to do something. It’s always the patient’s choice with how deep they want to face their fears.
  10. You are missing the big picture.
  11. From human consciousness, that is true. However, there are higher states to explore that will challenge even that belief.
  12. It’s also really possible to be many other ways that you originally didn’t think was possible.
  13. It’s not impossible, it’s just that you’d be dead.
  14. One trip isn’t going to cut it. You need many trips done over time. Responsibly, of course.
  15. You can try intentionally taking small actions that you wouldn’t usually do. For example, try brushing your teeth with your opposite hand for a day. You don’t have to make these permanent changes, just be curious and observe.
  16. Where did you discover these resources?
  17. It means stop worshipping or holding onto them as if they are the key to your liberation. Whatever that means. Nice abs, by the way.
  18. On one hand, not knowing is hell on earth. On the other, not knowing is liberation. At higher states of consciousness you won’t even be bothered to need any of that. It won’t even cross your mind. But don’t put the cart before the horse.
  19. At least Consciousness isn’t bound by time… …or so I’ve heard.
  20. Sounds very limiting to me, even if it were a possibility.
