This is the journey of most young men in Brazil nowadays, myself included. I recommend Platinho's YouTube channel. He embodies this transition very well. -
Being spiritual is attractive in men and women. Having a spiritual ego, isn't.

She was an NBC executive, after all. One insight that Musk fans seem to lack is that Elon Musk is one of the richest people in the world. Literally the richest one as of right now. He is the establishment. He doesn't want Twitter to improve freedom of speech, he wants Twitter to control speech himself. What is "freedom of speech"? There are numerous definitions of it. The one that will prevail at Twitter is the one that interests Elon Musk and his pockets the most.

Didn't see anyone discussing this: https://www.theverge.com/2023/6/12/23758258/twitter-ceo-linda-yaccarino-first-employee-memo

The worst-case scenario is the one where you live the rest of your life seeing dicks in clouds. I feel that your nervousness about the situation is worse than the situation itself.

Come to Rio. I'll be your wing, and you'll be safe hahahahaha

The cowboy-style detail wasn't on my mind, but whatever floats your boat.

Go get 100 rejections under your belt. You can do it in a month in a crowded place. Just ask 100 girls out/numbers. After that, you handled one of the worst parts which is the fear of approaching. The rest you adjust accordingly.

I don't think so hahahahahaha I just tried to write in a way that you wouldn't dismiss as you do with people that are text spammers or something like that. I'm just trying to say that messaging apps promote this kind of behavior. -

It seems you lack communication medium nuance. If I read a book or a dissertation with emojis, I'd partly agree with you, although even in these mediums you can find a use for them, if your linguistic prowess is good enough. Having a sense of humor and knowing when to relax is also a high-performing trait. I have often calmed my team through a well-placed joke or gif in challenging projects, which allowed people to stay more relaxed, increasing focus and attention to the matter at hand. Needless to say, if you're socializing, you shouldn't expect people to speak like a Victorian Age play, that's not mediocracy it is common sense. Texting serves the purpose of quickly conveying information. Formality is not necessarily the main focus. One emoji can express more emotion than half a paragraph of text. And given that texts are written only, the additional context can reduce ambiguity and improve meaning translation. Anyway, just food for your thought. You are completely right about leaving people that don't align with your values, though. Good luck in your future endeavors. -

Now talk about a bias. Dostoevsky is one of the most sensitive authors that ever touched this earth. Lex Fridman is someone you personally hate for some abstract reason and I think is getting in your way about judging things. Also, remember that guilt by association is another bias. Dostoevsky has never met Fridman. He died 2 years before Fridman was born. -

If AI takes all jobs, who's gonna get wages to spend money to purchase all of the stuff AI is producing? That's his argument in simpler terms. -
At least we won't die as a virgin.

You are very paranoid.

You are tripping HEAVY. Many people post duplicate videos in different threads. How the hell Cardozzo was supposed to know you posted the same video on a thread 5 days ago? Have some common sense.

Imagine claiming ownership over media you didn't produce.

Those are the best types of advice. Step-by-step explanations usually lack principles. Principles usually lead to the right steps.

I think you spend too much energy in deconstructing what's being said, instead of adopting the actual point of view of the person saying the thing, and therefore expanding your knowledge in a way that no amount of words can teach you. Again, Schmachtenberger is trying to give a summary of the main lessons he received in a lifetime of coexistence with his father. You can't put years of a relationship into bullet points without heavily simplifying things. Still a useful tool for contemplation. Because words can only point to the truth, not be the truth itself. I can give 300-hundred pages long description of coffee and that book wouldn't be coffee itself. It would only describe or help people recognize coffee, but that will only happen through the physical experience of getting in touch with coffee. In the case of the points, they're pointing to values and systems that Schmachtenberger would like to point to, but that can only be ultimately understood through personal experience or contemplation. He's pointing, but the importance is in what being pointed, not the pointer. I have no idea what this question is questioning.
-
Again, you're taking things too literally. This is a distilled version of a lifetime of advice and lessons. He's pointing at the truth, you're looking at the finger. It is impossible to fully develop these points without writing many, many books on the subjects.
