Discovering that is what I am. It's too good to be true and yet it's the ultimate Truth. Actually it's the biggest blessing. This has nothing to do with sweet human dream story changes. I really don't resonate with that saying anymore. For me each sit is already a fulfilling experience and quite a change in my state of consciousness. I don't know what may have caused this, in retrospective it was to find the techniques that suit me the most and having done lots of trips makes my consciousness so much more fluid. Also accessing effortlessly the first Jhanas (concentration states) gives you a very pleasurable ground to land whatever technique . In this way it doesn't feel like a grind but as a joy. In any case, you should feel results in every sit otherwise something is not right. It should be an incremental unfolding from good, to better the more you do it. I do kundalini yoga, vipassana meditation and zazen in case you wonder. Those work so nicely for me.

Erasing memory or transcending time or realising the imaginary nature of past and future is a consciousness knob which is not directly triggered by 5meo to the full extent. Other substances like Salvia do, meaning you wouldn't be able to return home, or know you have a home or where you are etc. So If you wanna have the eternal facet + memoryless (clean slate like baby) in aggregate with the 5meo experience you'll have to work for it, as it does not come naturally. In massive dose memory works like a thread, you don't really remember but a thread of conscious light thought if followed will literally spawn all your past, till that thread is let go to which it will vanish in consciousness. Regarding your other questions there are a few avenues of contemplation. So I'll just give you food for thought. This universe is just a room in the hotel universe which is God. If you enter another room (state and space of consciousness) you may stay there or move to another room again and of course there are rooms within rooms and so on. Another way to think about it is that your God mind literally created your whole past regarding that you tripped and you had past events happen to you but that was just spawned out of thin air with a detailed past memory and sensations. So you thinking you are coming back is but a trick of your own mind. Another way to think about it is that reality or the consciousness universe is computing/living/experiencing itself to maximize perfection. In this way, Reality is tending towards that expression which ever maximizes its perfection, given that this may be the case, there is a meta-reality order which is happening and brings us back to the main thread for completion. Finally, there is no body if you don't experience it. Literally there is no place where your body is when you breakthrough into another room of reality, there's just One Room that morphs into all infinite rooms and it does so in the most smooth, coherent and perfect way. It's an infinite Mind what we're dealing with here and that's the ultimate nature of Reality.

I'm currently writing my thesis as well. I love the pressure. I have to say that I feel much more relieved after two weeks of working through the index with my tutor. Now it's just about filling in the gaps but the skeleton is rock solid. Still a lot to write though and with all the academic paraphernalia. Although there's something about writing precisely and concisely that brings me a lot of joy. Although perfectionism rubs me the wrong way when I'm writing, it gets almost neurotic. Yet the end result is super satisfying.

The problem is that science assumes reality to be finite, given that assumption the explanatory offload, despite unsatisfactory, should eventually make all pieces come together and hold each other. However, given that Reality is infinite, this process is futile to grasp the whole, as the finite keeps discovering more paths within Infinite Universal Mind. There will always be new pieces and the centre will give the illusion of relative stability but the edge is always groundless and it goes on forever.
