  1. We all want success. But how do we get it? Buying a lottery ticket might not be the answer. This is the way I think it is done but I'm open to hearing what you think. The first step, identify areas where you have a competitive edge and capitalize on them. Enjoy your work, take care of your health, start being active, and invest in your education. With these four powerful building blocks set up, I think you'll find that success breezes. You might want to check what Jim has to say about attracting success. Let me know what you think.
  2. I was a college student with a 3.5 GPA and a few scholarships in my pocket. I thought it was going to be easy-peasy to live my life the way I wanted, but then life happened. After coming home from an 8 hour shift, I had to do homework for the class I was missing. At the same time, my mom would call me asking for help with her work. Even though being hired at my mom's work would be great, it would mean that I could only see her on Sunday evenings and any friends that weren't also working there. The best laid plans of mice and men, et cetera et cetera.... At this point, I had fallen into full-time student-mode while juggling work. I started thinking about other things like what other careers to pursue other than Teaching or how to make more money for myself? Did I go about this the wrong way?

  4. Thanks for your quick response. How does the relative notion matter in this case?
  5. We all have the potential to make a difference in life but most people do say that money is what holds them back. We’ve heard it before: There is a lack of money in our community. A lack of job opportunities and so on. But there is never a lack of the things that matter greatly to be successful in life. I think we have the power to change anything and money should not stop us from pursuing our desires. All you need is ideas. Jim Rohn explains this in detail in this video. I'd love to know what you think.
  6. People talking about how to succeed in life tend to complicate it yet it's a simple process. The whole process burns down to deciding what it is you want and adopting self-discipline. Remember it’s not about how you change your life, but the change that you want to make in it. If you want more money, then focus on making more money. If you want a better relationship, then work on improving your relationships with others. The key is to know what it is that you really truly desire and then go for it with all of your heart and soul… Jim Rohn provides additional steps on the process you need to change your life forever in the following video:
  7. What does it feel like to lose money? The answer is not very pleasant. Some people say losing money is not just about the loss of wealth, but it also impacts how you think about yourself and your future. However, Jim Rohn says losing money is not a big deal as long as you still have the skills you used to accumulate that money. See what Jim has to say about his experience when he made a million-dollar and then lost it all.
  8. What does it mean when you say that you have lost all your money? You may not know what it feels like to lose a lot of money. It is a horrible feeling, and the thought of it happening again can make us feel anxious and scared. If you think about your life, can you think of any major moments where losing all of the money would be devastating? I have gone through that experience too. However, I was humbled when I came across Jim Rohn’s quote in the video below.
  9. Well, it's a one-word answer, attitude. This 8-letter word is equally as important as your belief and confidence. If you want to experience success, you need to change your perspective and focus on what is possible, not impossible. Part of the process is achieving a healthy mindset and attitude for success. Find ways to change your perspective in this video.
  10. The paper is helpful. I specifically like the paradigm part.
  11. As a perfectionist, it's really hard to stop. It's constantly criticizing myself or constantly trying to find ways to improve. One day I was tired of constantly feeling so unfulfilled, so I started thinking about the positives about being a perfectionist. -I'm great at doing things methodically and thoroughly -I know what I want out of life and I constantly set goals for myself -I am always curious and constantly looking for new areas to explore -I don't dwell on mistakes But then, on the other hand, there are all the negatives of being a perfectionist. Without this personality trait, I would have never felt so limited, never felt like I wasn't good enough, never felt like my choices were constrained. My life would be much more relaxed, but my life is also much more fulfilling because of it. I am curious to know how other people deal with perfectionism.
  12. Hi, don't get discouraged when there is a lot happening. Remember, you probably don’t have to do everything, and it’s ok to ask for help from others at times. Check out this Earl Nightingale video about attitude blow, it will motivate you to pursue your purpose.

  14. You can’t stop perfectionist thoughts, but you can take control of them. If you’re feeling like your inner thoughts are holding you back, the one way to regain control that has always work for me is "do it badly. Just get started and do it badly. Eventually, you will realize that it is not that bad.
