That’s the mindset needed to suceed I think or it happens spontaneously -

I see some substance in it -
And so what if it’s short? You’ll probably reincarnate again sooner or later. Why would life only appear once? If it could happen this lifetime it could another.

Seems almost impossible that’s why few people succeed and even some of those who do say it’s spontaneous. But maybe a strong desire for it helps. -

Yea very simply put. I have to open myself to recognize it -

Yea that direct awareness is crucial or else this is mostly just words. But it’s still fascinating conceptually . So basically absence of limitations makes it possible for me to exist -

Another thing I say is that the brain is designed to produce a self, for self survival. So trying to dissolve it is like going against evolutionary wiring -

I thought absence of limitations meant everything is possible lol Yea it’s a bit hard to understand with the mind. I’ll have to read that again -

I think too time is the same as change. Or you could say change happens in time. It seems we perceive in time, we perceive the change. How that is possible is probably some complex process in brain. I imagine absence of change as being like a perfectly still image. Imagine if you could keep your eyes perfectly still, it’s not possible but just play with the thought, then there would be no change in visual field, are you saying that is nothing ? But it’s still being perceived. -

This made me laugh for some reason -

To me , to say something is real is to say it exists as separate. But if imagination is of no substance then it’s not real it just appears as real -

That might be an aspect to it -

I know by science that everything is constantly moving but it’s still hard to grasp why it is like you’re saying. It’s hard for the mind to grasp these concepts that are so fundamental One thought that came to me is how are we able to recognize change(for example a hand moving) if there is no time? This moment is immediate, but somehow our brain still recognizes change through time. It’s weird And yes I agree whatever we say is still within this reality -

It’s occuring in me. The two most obvious things are I am and there is something . But that doesn’t mean it’s actually the case -

Happy Easter Why did Jesus become so popular? He isn’t the first to spread a god message. We have non dualists today talking (non duality doesn’t appeal to the public it only works when it’s embedded between the lines and not explicit because then people won’t get it’s about non duality which is perhaps how some holy scriptures work I don’t know though) we have speakers like eckhart tolle and Rupert spira etc . I respect Jesus and see the value in it but I don’t get why he got the most popular -

“You are here right now” just because it seems like it doesn’t mean it’s the case -

So if everything would suddenly freeze and be still then that would be nothing? I thought something is just something limited with a border, separate -
Sugarcoat replied to ShardMare's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Does that prove there is something? -

How do you know there is something? -

I agree -

I don’t know it’s just my theorizing. But it’s like it’s all appearance, but the appearances work in certain ways. So if you drop a glass on the floor it will break. So the appearance of the floor and the glass interact and affect each other. So I see the brain. The brain produces the sense of self, the appearance of the brain creates the appearance of a self. I don’t know this though , it’s just my theorizing
