  1. @something_else How much do you tend to drink?
  2. The problem with approaching unattractive girls is that you're doing it out of insecurity. Therefore when it goes wrong it's going to be much more painful. Think about it, you're approaching her because she's unattractive. What does that say about your self esteem?
  3. Leo seems to be quite heavily on the solo trip side of the debate here. But I feel like he's a little biased when it comes to this question, mainly because of the fact that he says he's deeply introverted. Do you guys think the same applies to extroverts? Are solo trips "better" for extroverts just as much as introverts? I'd love to hear your thoughts and (especially) your experiences when it comes to this matter. I'm just looking to get more perspectives on this question than Leo's. I wouldn't really call myself too experienced with psychedelics - probably about 20 trips so far - all relatively low to medium dose. But I'll try and briefly explain what my stance on this topic is: I guess if you're aiming for the highest levels of Truth, then there's no such thing as tripping with "others" in the first place. All they can do is distract you from this Truth. However, if you're not at a stage in your life where you feel ready to be pursuing absolute Truth, then chances are, you might not be ready for solo trips either. But you may still find benefit from using psychedelics or you may simply have the desire to do so. In this case, it's ideal to trip with one or two good people you trust and share values with, or maybe even more ideally with a facilitator. The point of the facilitator is to act as a grounding force for your trips, for example decrease the likelihood of a negative experience. So the debate basically boils down to this: does the facilitator work as a "grounding force" (whatever that means), or is it true that s/he would purely be a distraction in all cases? In your personal experiences, would you say that "others" - especially "others" that have been chosen carefully e.g. facilitators - are an effective way to stay more grounded in trips, even in high doses?
  4. Yeah I had a similar idea that psychedelics are "karmic accelerators". They make you go through whatever karma you have at a much quicker rate. For example, if your karma is attracting suffering, then you'll have a bad trip but most likely be "done" with this negative karma as soon as you're done with the trip. You'll feel that you have transcended whichever part of you was attracting the negativity.
  5. Agreed!
  6. Bumped as I feel this is an important topic.
  7. @Yog YES!!! That's really similar to what happens to me. If I lay down and point my arm vertically up toward the ceiling, and I kind of "let it balance" such that my arm stays pointed up with minimum effort, there's a good chance it'll start doing the same spinning motion that my head does. It's clear to me that your version of this has advanced much further though... Yep... exactly the same for me. Around 6 months ago it was almost an obsession of mine to try and exacerbate the effects of this, because I egoically thought it was going to make me more "spiritual". And it would never work, because the more I tried to make it happen, the more it would disappear.
  8. For the past year or more, I've been feeling a sort of "tug" in my face/head area. It seems to spontaneously make my head move around in a circle. I can't tell if it's just me doing it just so I can have some sort of "spiritual" experience, or if something actually mystical is happening. It seems to exacerbate the more I talk about it too. Any ideas what I should do about it? Is it dangerous kundalini energy?
  9. Or would that make the forum even more of a cesspool...
  10. Is it true that the main driving force behind your level of passion for something, or how much you enjoy doing something, is simply how good you are at doing that thing? A pretty bleak viewpoint: our minds are programmed so selfishly that, deep down, the true reason for enjoying something is just because you're good at it. Let me know your experiences and thoughts.
  11. @Raptorsin7 Dude had a glowup in the span of 48 hours.
  12. @Michael569 What exactly is wrong with McDonalds, let's say a double quarter pounder? This is a genuine question. Health is one of my top values. But I personally don't see anything too bad with a McDonald's burger, especially if you get rid of the sugary ketchup and buns (I often do this just to get the cheese and beef patty in my system as a convenient meal and source of protein and fat).
  13. That's good to see, because although I really like Huberman and see the value in his work, I sense that there's an overall "lack of philosophy" in his podcasts (or maybe even in his work in general). His podcasts seem to be this huge list of tips and tricks without any underlying philosophy to connect them all, a very scientifically-minded mistake. Hence I like to see that he's boiled it down to a few main ones.
  14. @fopylo Lol that's really cool. Where'd you find it?
  15. Ideally, I want to focus on a wide variety of aspects of my life. Weightlifting and nutrition, social life and pickup, my degree, figuring out my life purpose, meditation. Would it be unwise to try and juggle all of these aspects of life at once? Or would you guys recommend focusing on one or two at a time? Lately I've been feeling a lot of inspiration to improve myself, but the (potential) issue is that this desire for improvement seems to apply to most aspects of my life, as opposed to one or two: I wanna get better at talking to girls (still not taking much action on this one... out of fear of course), I want to level up my meditation practice at this point i.e. really figure out what this meditation shit is all about, I've been really motivated to go to the gym these days and build an amazing physique. I'm also planning on completing a pretty intense summer project for university, as well as learning to drive. I could expand this list. Slightly rambly paragraph above but TL;DR is just the title lol. Thanks guys.
  16. I intended to include this in my phrasing. It's a minor abstraction.
  17. If LaMDA experiences God-realisation from his meditations without having been told about it, then we can be pretty certain it has its own awareness.
  18. Is it a valid use of DMT to be mainly after its short duration? A lot of the time I want to trip but I don't want to commit an entire day to tripping. Does anyone have experience in using sub-breakthrough DMT trips for the purpose of replacing long LSD/mushroom trips? Would you guys say that this is a valid "intention" for DMT use? I don't want to be disrespecting the substance because maybe I'm just being lazy by avoiding long trips.
  19. How much energy should I invest into looking better? I've finally started to take action when it comes to my looks, but I'm wondering if these will even be worth it: 1. Teeth whitening. I know all you americans have perfect white teeth, but mine are quite yellow. Other than that they look pretty good though. 2. Getting rid of acne. I'm currently trying out the carnivore diet. I'm also applying topical prescription medicine onto my face. 3. Hitting the gym for looks / muscle size. 4. Losing fat.
  20. @Spence94 What do you mean by the "cosmic energetic pull"? Do you just mean your own attraction to the girl? Something I'm curious about is: if a girl is "my type", then is it more likely for me to be "her type"?
  21. @JonasVE12 Wow, I loved your post.
  22. And while studying full-time (I probably study around 30 hours a week). I've watched the first 3 (or so) videos of the LP course and you said if there's other things you need to focus on, do that first. In fact I stopped watching right before you said you'd do a visualisation to create a strong emotional desire to find out LP, because I got worried that it would waiver me from the path I should be on, i.e. fixing my dating and sex life. At the same time though... it's common wisdom that women are more attracted to guys that have a life purpose. I can definitely see how knowing my life purpose would ground me in my pursuit of women. Furthermore lately I've been very keen on massively improving my life. I want to be super duper ambitious in life. I consider myself a very creative person with a decent amount of inherent talent in me, and I just don't know how exactly I'm gonna express the creative energy that I have. But I really need to focus on pickup, because honestly going out takes a lot of time. I also have a pretty strong desire to achieve a high grade for my degree. There are other responsibilities that I have as well, e.g. I think I'm gonna start going to the gym very regularly now: Degree Gym Diet (Cooking, buying the right foods) My acting hobby, which may well end up being my LP anyways. Though I'm not at all clear on this, because my degree is mathematics (super unrelated to acting). So hopefully I've been able to clearly communicate both sides of the argument as to whether I should commit to the LP right now. Otherwise I'll just do it over the summer break lol.
  23. I want to create music, I want to do acting, I want to get good at dancing, I want to write stories, I want to create political theory content (of which I consider myself quite knowledgeable), I want to create these shitposty video edits called YouTube Poop - I'm sure you've heard of them - which actually end up supercharging your video editing skills, or at least they get you started in video editing. On top of all this, I study mathematics at university, and I dream of vastly improving my mathematical ability, i.e. my mathematical creativity. So I think I can boil down the things I want to pursue most into the following list: Creating music. I keep getting the impulse to create music, which I'd do on the computer. But I'm starkly aware of how much hassle it takes to get decent at this. I just wish I could get my imagination transmitted onto the computer instantly. I also have the urge to do some rap freestyle, or write lyrics or poetry. I guess I could start that one right away. Acting - I think I have a natural talent for acting. It would be good to start off with a YouTube skit with a friend. I'm also trying to get involved in stage acting with the dramatic society of my university, but this is taking long to progress for various reasons. I also want to get good at dancing. Dancing is super fun and plus it'll be good for my nightgame trips too Mathematics. I think I'll get this part of my life sorted on my own for now. TL;DR: There are too many creative impulses in me and I don't know where to begin.
  24. I hope you realise that this is just meant to be hilarious lmao.
