  1. I couldn't get myself to watch this.. it's so shit lol.. Tate is not a great debater as he thinks he is. He can destroy normies, but not someone who has well prepared arguments.
  2. United States always profits from wars. They don't really mind if tension escalates and turns into a war. The pressure and blame is all on China, as it should. Plus this is a visit driven by her own personal interests.
  3. If you want an accurate definition, you need to allow a detailed study and it's possible to accomodate for the edge cases quite accurately. That's what scientists devote their entire life into. In the case of the man you have shown above you don't have enough information about his/her biology, genitalia, any complications or mishaps at birth etc You have to provide all such information to have an accurate definition, which is absolutely possible, biologically and scientifically. You are not really undermining definitions here.
  4. Pelosi lands in Taiwan. Waiting to see how China responds. Brink of another war?
  5. This is true. But I can't get myself to accept this and play fisher random, which would get players to put their brains to full use instead of blitzing out computer moves. It is indeed a cult in many ways. Chess players are weird. The players moves pieces on a weird board and accepts certain configurations of pieces as winning and losing etc. Astoundingly similar to ouija boards and stuff. I got similar vibes when playing tournaments the first time. The people are quite distinct from the normal culture that it's so obvious that you now belong to some weird cult with it's own rules. So true. More than half of the game is computer moves at the world championship level.

  7. According to reports, they will attempt to intercept it with fighter jets initially. If they fail, they will resort to shooting it down. China is well aware of the logistical nightmare involved in waging an invasion on Taiwan. But you underestimate how ideologically invested, the chinese are in making Taiwan a part of themselves. If there is an invasion, China will give in everything they have and more. Winning or losing comes second. Yes. The chinese do understand how weak they are compared to NATO and US dominance. A small point of failure can humiliate China. But they won't hesitate to go to war, because they see Taiwan as a part of themselves. It is an emotional and ideological battle. Not logical one. The major problem is going to be the semi conductor manufacturing industry which Taiwan dominates. That's the last thing you would want under the control of an authoritarian communist government. The stakes are high for the entire world, not just the US. We have allowed ourselves to be too dependent on Taiwan for high end semi conductor chips.
  8. He is not able to handle the pressure of playing consecutive games. Too much to lose, too little to gain. I mean, he already proved the point. He is the champion of the world. And people will continue to believe even after he stops defending the world championship. He decided it was time to step aside as a king, instead of being dethroned as a pleb. Classy move be Magnus. This has nothing to do with green behaviour. He still loves to see his opponents scramble to find the moves lol.
  9. What is stopping you from getting more experiences? Is it anything but your self? I know our culture places a lot of restrictions, but that is something we have to work with. Wanting to change things you have mo control over will surely make you sad all the time.
  10. He is talking from the pov of his readers. From the pov of the readers, he will certainly die.
  11. "Other" beings don't exist. And suffering can only be experienced by you. You cannot reduce their sufferings by doing anything It makes no difference whether you reproduce or not. Both are equally neutral. Population growth are almost always trends of survival concerns rather than people simply opting to not have children out of will.
  12. How does heavy metals find it's way to the protein powders? Does creatine powder also have heavy metal in it? Apparently they all pass the standard heavy metals test as the label on it says.
  13. Sad, but true. I am dumbfounded hearing the kind of stuff that manipulative guys did to her and she will still shamelessly justify assholes. I can't tolerate such behaviour. You don't need a paid service. Just get your father, brother or closest male relative to vet for you.
  14. Things I have to stop doing to conserve my energy: 1) Stop giving advices to people. 2) Stop updating myself with what is happening with everyone else's life. Things I must start doing 1) Consume high quality information and process it well. Producing and consuming information cannot go hand in hand.
  15. I am too young to be giving advices to people and I am doing it too much on this forum. Being wrong is a great fear of mine. Almost an insecurity. I want to be precise and correct all the time. So I am going to read and listen more while saying less. This means I have less room to be wrong. I will start giving my opinions once I reach my 30s. I have too few experiences right now.
  16. For me, I am grounded in the idea that I will treat all people equally even if I have different emotional reactions about their appearances. This is something I clearly decided when I was young. So many people project to others what they think of others. You don't control your emotional reactions. But you can always treat others with respect regardless. Such strength to not act on your emotions must be instilled in everyone. So I can easily resist actually talking to him that "you look x way". That's completely irrelevant and makes you look like a dumbfuck and immature for pointing silly things of their appearance. I don't condone surgeries on minors to remove their sex organs. If they can't drink alcohol or give consent for sex, how are they allowed to give consent for gender transition surgeries the effects of which may last a lifetime. I hope we can move away from it slowly and allow people to act whatever way they want.
  17. You could never choose to "not participate". Also you will have to cut down on consumption a lot. By wanting to have things for free is a delusional goal. Someone must still buy capital and make people work like slaves to produce the goods that you enjoy, which includes the device you are using to view this. If you are too frustrated, you are already being ideological. I have also been this place. But I quickly turned back because it is a trap by your own mind.
  18. Obviously you will need to walk outside occasionally. You can have a common vehicle center at a walking distance. You can use the vehicles on a trip by trip basis and park the vehicle back in the centre. This will save a lot of space and not everyone would have to buy a vehicle.
  19. It's true. But IQ simply means that you can process information faster and manipulate systems faster. Such people tend to be successful in life. But that need not imply intelligence or psychological maturity.
  20. Jordan, Shapiro, Trump has a high Intellect or IQ. Intelligence is a much more broader term encompassing much more stuff like wisdom, psychological development, IQ etc. IQ alone makes up for intellect or "smart" or faster learning capacity.
  21. People generally switch jobs to get more pay, in every 3-4 years. I understand that pay is not your concern, but principles for which your company is based on. This just makes the whole process more complex and hard to arrive at a decison. If you are financially secure, then you are good to go. If not, I would advice to get that part of your life secured before experimentation. Experience in a top tier bank is always a good safety net. You always have the option to return to the old job, just in case you feel like it. Overall it's hard to be fully satisfied at a job when you are based on principles. (Unless you are working for yourself). The bank is not exactly capitalistic, but it is whatever it need to survive. Yes, they are doing devils work sometimes, but the difficult part is to accept that it may be necessary for society. Maybe you leaving it makes no difference overall since someone more devilish may take up that position. It is a tough moral decision to make, if you actually care about changing the world for good. Godspeed to you. ❤️
  22. The actual solution to traffic is indeed in correct city planning. You can design the city such that the most important utilities that people need is at walking distance. Cars are so not human friendly.
