Knowledge of any finite domain requires experience and study. It never comes automatically just because you're spiritual or experienced in other domains.

    This is domain-specific knowledge.

You're not gonna know engineering unless you study engineering. Nothing else will substitute for that.

I agree. However, even people with a high level understanding of politics like Don Beck for example, can be right wingers and support Trump. Its kinda crazy considering his knowledge and experience.

I came across this video where Aaron Abke has an interview with Jesse Lee Peterson - A far right youtuber and radio host. Aaron is a pretty advance spiritual teacher and he tries to explain nonduality and spirituality to Jesse however, his words get twisted to fit the right wing agenda. Its clear that jesse has no idea what Aaron is talking about because his mind is far too closed. I was surprised to see someone as spiritually advanced as Aaron even on this show, and at certain points in the interview he shows some pretty strong right wing opinions about abortion, vaccines, gender, etc.

It's worth a watch just to see that even spiritual masters can have some pretty conservative views.

i think LOA is more like getting out of your own way. People tend to think negatively, catastrophize, etc.; LOA gives you a reason, a security blanket, to let go of holding yourself back.

Yeah I've noticed that i defninitely get in my own way a lot. However, some of the synchonicities I get are really weird. For example, I've been stressing about my career and future all week and my job search was going terribly. today went for a walk and decided to completely change my mindset and let go of outcomes. As soon as I got home, I recieved an email about an interview update from my potential dream job. it's too suspicious to just be random chance.

  4. I've noticed that my state of mind seems to affect outcomes in some pretty crazy ways. For example, if i am neurotically fixated on an outcome, the outcome will be delayed or won't happen due to unexpected events beyond my control. Likewise, when I completely let go of an outcome and am just happy with the present moment, new opportunities will suddenly arise. I am normally quite skeptical about the universe somehow helping me but there have been too many synchronicities that it's hard to ignore. Since becoming more mindful and doing more spiritual work, the effect of the law of attraction has only gotten stronger.

I am aware that It could just be a result of my perception and actions, however, some of the synchonicities are pretty much impossible for my actions to affect. It seems like the universe is winking at me every time it happens.

So is the law of attraction more metaphysical and spiritual or just a bunch of feedback loops in a complex system?

    She’s now a moderator in Nahm’s forum.

Yeah I know, but that forum is somehow more toxic than actualized. Most of the activity is just hating on Leo or spirituality with more culty undertones. The most popular thread is the one laughing about how Leo got molested which is kinda low.

I still visit there when I want to detox from Leo's teachings. Many of their critiques of Leo are legitimate but its clear he's living rent free in their heads.

The site has some really good spiritual advice and has much less of the toxic masculinity that actualized has. It just turn to shit whenever the topic is actualized.org

Yeah, I'm much more open minded towards progressive values and politics, but I still have a sense the entire political system is broken and a shift to community living is where the solution is, not in large scale leftist governments.

Here I've dropped any sense of judgment towards gays, trans people etc, I see that everyone is just doing their best and I am no position to understand or dictate how other people ought to live.

The men here seem to be much more intune with their femininity, so that's something I'm hoping will rub off on me so I can become a more integrated person

Looks like you've grown a lot! well done and good luck for the future!

What is winning? What is losing?

    Happiness is relative

Let every soul live the life of their choosing

No need to be so negative

    I agree with you,

My main point is that this hypermasculine self guru,

Exploits feelings of inadequacy to sell you their product while denoucing inner work too.

If you follow these gurus, you will feel inadequate no matter what you do.

@spiritual memes I like the topic dude! And I always laugh at your profile picture ?.

Thanks! It's a funny meme that accurately describes by spiritual journey xD

@Ulax I agree with you on the relativism part but I also think the relativism only makes you more open to spirituality but won't make you spiritual by itself.

I also think online teachers like Leo and others have really made spirituality more popular on the internet allowing for spiritual ideas to be shared with more people.

What I mean to say by this? Simply

people have become too absorbed in self.

While the ultimate happiness (and you surely agree with me)

comes when no self is held.

In order to have 'no self', a lot of inner work is required

    Throught providing real value

I felt the most happiness and joy.

No matter how much happiness inside have you,

changing lives of others?! Oh boy!

I agree. A lot of these self help gurus focus on success for oneself while belittling others.

    Maybe reality is imaginary

and I am just a damn fool.

But I just feel that service to society is obligatory,

and with that, I'm leaving! Cool?

In order to be of service to society, you have to do your inner work. Otherwise, your inner demons will manifest and corrupt your outer work. Instead of helping others, you will unintentionally make things worse.

I enjoyed the poetic exchange tho
