  1. Maybe they simply aren't ready for spirituality and when they are they start to ask you questions about it. If you focus on the work and start to improve your wellbeing maybe they'll see the benefits?
  2. All you ever get to experience is your perspective but no they are not toys to interact with. That would imply separation. Existemce is infinite and holds every perspective including yours and mine. That said.. That was my perspective on the matter. One perspective out of infinite others so take that with a grain of salt. Seems like we live in a highly subjective reality.
  3. The fearful thoughts are based on that dense feeling in the body. When you stop letting go or do positive thinking in order to get rid of it or run from it by distracting yourself, and instead welcome that dense feeling of fear. Sit with it and embrace it, then the denseness starts to dissolve. Then positivity will come naturally.
  4. @Scholar Yeah surpression is not the answer. It's about integration. Letting those feelings arise and sit with them.
  5. Yeah, no self is just the beginning. In my opinion it depends how far you want to go. Most people are satisfied with staying in a place before that. Well not that is ever "full" but I get what you're pointing at.
  6. @DManKee Whatever is happening might not at all be the reason why the shift occurs. One thing that caught my attention in Eckhart Tolles story however was that he saw the division within himself when he questioned the thought "I can't live with myself".
  7. Yes but at the same time there's no separation between the created and uncreated.
  8. The devil is the believing that these thoughts are true.
  9. The phrase is pointing to the experience of dying but nothing actually dies.
  10. @roopepa Rest in the blank. ?
  11. That's beautiful. Maybe meditation is happening effortlessly whatever you are doing?
  12. If you're not aware of oneness in this moment then you can surrender until that is realized.
  13. Can you control thought? If you can you would easily be able to stop thinking. Also can you control what thought appears? That is a thought. No that was only a thought but not the source of thoughts. That's a thought. ? The source of thoughts can be recognized between thoughts but it doesn't speak or use words. Words come from thought.
  14. That's great. Seems like that's the way to go. To expand the areas of your life where meditation happens until life is happening within meditation. Also gaming is quite meditative for me aswell.
  15. Yeah, experiences happen. All we experience is thought, feeling, seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling. Yeah, my kangaroo is not serving me dinner right now. It's not what's happening it's a thought. And can you describe the nature of this "you" that is experiencing? This is thought. If that is experienced then what is "you", "your friend" and "about experiences"? How do you know that it's occuring if you are not there to experience it? Isn't that a thought? In the first "event" there is experience happening. The second "event" is only experienced as a thought so it doesn't actually happen. It's like the kangaroo serving you dinner in your first example. What is the nature of this "you" can you describe it? Experience is experience. Thought Feeling Sight Sound Smell Taste And what is the subject? So by comparing the two events: Nr 1 which is experienced. Nr 2 which is only thought. You draw the conclusion that there is a subject. But that conclusion is only a thought being experienced.
  16. Yeah, we are but the realization is subjective. From Buddhas point of view the world wakes up and it is realized it's ONE. From your perspective that hasn't been realized.
  17. @Neph What do you want Leo to say? If someone attempts suicide then it seems like an appropriate response to tell him to seek professional help. Mental issues can be hard to deal with and no answer that Leo makes will be adequate. When I had mental issues (depression) I went to an hour long session once a week for 2 years.
  18. There's a time for withdrawing from life and there's a time for engaging life. There will still be preferences and paradoxically non-attachment leads to more engagement. That depends on what you want. So what do you want?
  19. Seems like things are starting to open up. Staying quiet and resting in being might be wise.
  20. Yeah, the ego would love to believe it's God wouldn't it. It seems like that belief has the potential to create some really dangerous egos.
  21. Seems like a natural evolvement in human development. At the same time It does seem quite ridiculous that the voice was believed once transcended.
