  1. @Michael Jackson ? From the game characters POV he's going on quests, slaying dragons, leveling up, doing anything that seems worthwhile but he is just a part of the gaming experience. From another POV he's does whatever he's programmed to to do.
  2. @MihaiXx Yes! Just enjoy the ride! ?
  3. Ok thx for sharing. ? Could you "focus in" on these areas of your jaw when such a topic comes up to see if you feel any tension building up? You could also do this throughout the day and just relax the jaw or massage the muscles to prevent these tensions from building up. I would appreceite any feedback if it helped or not.
  4. Interesting, I've also had trouble with my left side. Thigh, shoulder, neck and feet. Have you tried stretching? These tensions seem to build up during daily life for me. How about you?
  5. Yeah I have. It can be overcome by stretching the neck and back daily. From my experience these tensions is built up during normal day to day life. Meditation simply makes you conscious of them. Just out of curiosity, since we are talking about areas around the throat chakra, how are you when you're in conversations with others? Do you feel relaxed and there's a natural flow of conversation or are you feeling like you need to force yourself in any way?
  6. He could act that way without actually being sympathetic. It's really hard to know his intentions. Use the criteria in the dsm 5 instead. Antisocial Personality Disorder: https://www.theravive.com/therapedia/antisocial-personality-disorder-dsm--5-301.7-(f60.2)
  7. @UpperMaster A sociopath is formed by life events so they should be able to unwind there ego just like anybody else. It seems highly unlikely that they would have any interest in doing so though.
  8. @Eternal Unity
  9. @Eternal Unity Thx!
  10. @Rafael Thundercat Thx for sharing! I'll watch it later today. EDIT: Seems like it's restricted in my region so I can't see it yet.
  11. Just like anybody else. ? Ah nice! ?
  12. Thoughts and sensations are the "raw data", objects are parts of the raw data that has been processed by the mind into objects. Yes, it can be experienced, the subtle 'sensation' of awareness without thoughts and sensations
  13. Noted. Please contact me then so we can share that moment together because I'll probably forget about this tomorrow. ? Yeah, that's what I thought you meant. Self-awareness is not the right word, maybe self recognition is a better pointer. It's part of the human development process so maybe it's in AIs as well.
  14. Not in the way you mean anyway. ? I like to believe they are self aware. ?
  15. @onacloudynight Evil as in being either good or evil is an interpretation we make based on our ideals. If you believe that your evil then what actions do you do to make you think you're evil?
  16. @AnthonyR Pretty hard to know if it has become self aware or not but some A.I is either self aware or mimicing a self aware being very well.
  17. His books are worth reading imo but you just have to weed out the bad stuff. His map of consciousness is more a map of feelings and how they relate to each other. It has it's uses.
  18. @Kalki Avatar Like @zurew said. Spiritual work will eventually lead to a quiet and less reactive body. And definetly avoid repressing it like @Carl-Richard said. It will come out one way or the other. Gotta find healthy ways to express it or let it out.
  19. @onacloudynight stop clinging to any of those states. It's out of your control anyway.
  20. Yeah, I know where you coming from. I used to call it non-existence myself. However, It was pointed out to me by several people that it wasn't a good word to use because it doesn't make logical sense. If it was literally nothing you wouldn't be here talking about it because there would be nothing to realize. In other words no realization. Your realization doesn't sound ridiculous at all. I know what your pointing to but why use a word that might create confusion in others and yourself. ?
  21. If it was nothing it wouldn't exist, nothingness is a better pointer imo.
  22. Consciousness and God can be used to point to the same 'thing' though. ?
  23. @Something Funny Having a goal to do something x hours per day is fine but if you start by doing that you'll most likely fail. I like starting small, like doing it for 2 minutes and setting up a time for doing it as well. For example after my morning coffee I'll do programming for at least 2 minutes. That way there's the least amount of inner resistance to start doing it. And once started I usually do more than the 2 minute goal. A key point here is to pace yourself. When the goal is met and I don't feel like doing it anymore I stop and do something else. After a month or so usually there's no resistance to do it anymore because it has become a habit and then I can up the goal by 5-10 minutes. Also it's good to be able to visually track how it's going. X's on a calender works fine.
  24. Yeah. it's: Death EQUALS non-existence which exists and that makes no sense logically. Or Death EQUALS non-existence which doesn't exist. Both statements seem to fall short. Another way to look at it is Death IS NOT EQUAL to non-existence, but it's the falling back into the very root of existence.
