  1. I have been in your shoes we all have. You really are lucky to be into self help at your age, so be very thankful. I am 34 and barely started this stuff a year or two ago. You should really adopt the name "coach corey wayne" into your vocab. He is like the Leo of dating and relationships. Check out some of his videos he has thousands on youtube. And then read his book, omg it has changed my life forever. I can tell you probably smothered this girl and scared her right off. Girls need to have a chase to stay interested, if you catch yourself texting all day instead of making plans to hang out, you are doing it all wrong. They need to wonder about you, that creates attraction. Go watch some of his videos and move on to the next, possibly ask your ex if shed like to go out on a date, if not, move on. Get out there and date, trust me youre gonna have tons more ladies in your life, nothing is meant to last.
  2. I wish it was that easy, unfortunately that hasnt worked :-/.
  3. Can a moderator move this topic to the correct location, my apologies.
  4. Thank for the reply, i should have mentioned he has access to those and they def help when he has his off days.
  5. I really want to thank you for reading this long post.. I am really worried about my friend, he has experienced with opiates for over ten years, and he currently has a high tolerance and can take 150 mg per day with ease. Not only does it drag him down phsically but just as bad financially and morally. Nobody knows about this long addiction other then a couple close friends, his family thinks he is the leader of the family and would devestate them all to know of his embarrasing situation. The longest he has ever went is a month in the last 5 years without taking any. He wants to quit, he knows ithas to be harming his health he just doesnt know how bad, he has never went to injecting anything like that, would never let it get to that point because lots of his friends crossed that bridge and never came back. For many many years it was a very low dose and fridays only, as somewhat of a reward for the hard work week. Then it just kept going up and more frequent. He has been right about where he is at for the last few years, so excited for his new career in sales and is really kicking butt with it. He has lost several close people to him over the years but the worst one most recently. His father was a drunk and addict that lead to his death at an early age of 42, Family is full of alcohalics on both sides, he has been very incolved with self help the last couple years. He is so happy a out self help and his love for his job, but knows that to become all tlat he can. He is familiar with meditation but hasnt done it for nearly 3 months. He seems to have everything that peoplel would want in life. Successeful, no worries of money, all the cool cars could ever want, very very nice body and well built. Materialistic things he knows can never create fulfilling hapiness. From the outside it appears he has everything, yet on the inside he feels so empty and sad. Esp now that he lost his best friend animal of 14 years. Ive read people say to look at the past and find the issue and fix it, but that always confuses him, how do you go about finding the past issue and how do you fix it? He has done experiments for like two days on and two days off. And he feels soooo much better on the days he has off. On so many different levels, yet he somehow keeps going back for more and is very frustrated by this. He has such major potential in life, he is a great person, but he cannot kick this horrible habit. Luckily he does not have very bad withdrawl symptoms. The past few months he has limited to using about 35-40% of the time. Possible to get back to enjoying once per week or does it have to be cold turkey and never again. Any advice would be so greatly appreciated. God bless.
  6. Great advice above, i agree i do think you are depressed but you can snap out of this in an instant. You really just need to get out in the world and feel like a normal person. Right now you want to just hide out and lay low and i have been there. It is a shitty feeling, but so so easy to get back on track. Just think how much worse you could be right now, imagine not having any arms or legs, or terminal cancer.. Then you wouldnt really have a chance at turning this right around in a few easy steps. You should just go for a hike or long walk, go socialize with strangers and make people smile. Go do something for someone else with expecting nothing in return, that will make you feel better then anything. Go to the gym, play basketball, anything. Just get out of the house. You need some fresh air, clear your head. Are there any drugs or alcohal abuse issues involved at the moment? Look at this like you have been hybernating and you are ready to get back out there and fuck the world up! A new you!!! You can do this, who gives a shit if you fail, it was meant to be if you do and alllll of us do it. It will lead you to another path which can be an amazing adventure, just enjoy the ups and the downs. Right now youre down, enjoy it. And when you bounce up you ar going to feel on top of the world. NOW GET OFF YOUR ASS AND GET OUT OF THE HOUSE.
  7. Also, what are your beliefs on what happens after this life?
  8. @Evilwave Heddy That is awesome and exactly what i was talking about, thank you for sharing.
  9. When this short life ends, we see a sign pop up and say LEVEL 2, and we end up in some totally different type of life. Or whqt is it just says GAME OVER. What would you rather? I feel like we are playing a game that we cannot win. i told my roomate tonight, if when i die i dont get to see my dead puppy, i am gonna be pissed. He says well what if you die and its just over and you didnt know any different? What are your thoughts on the "afterlife"? It seems everyone has their toatlly seperate beliefs. Somewhat mind bogeling.
  10. My ex gf and I spoke one night, she has bounced from job to job and thinks she needs school for everything in life. We had a chat one night and i added up how much time and money it cost her to do that. She is only 23, and i told her if you didnt go to school for all those hours and you had a job paying you just $10/hr, you could have paid off my house with cash. $300k nice new beautiful home. I will never forget her eyes when i told her that. Esp since it was all for nothing and she left that job soon after her schooling. Then she went and did all this schooling to be a vet tech, she didnt even pass all of it and swore thats what she wanted to do with her whole life and it wouldnt change for nothing when i told her yes it would. Surely enough a month later she says you were right, i want to be a cop now. Once again countless hours of time with school and home work just gone and wasted. So shes been doing all sorts of homework for being a cop and some type of science, she has not even passed the POST test yet and i dont think she even will be abe to, her math skills are sadly the worst i have ever seen by FAR. Again she is wasting time (in my opinion). I told her again that she will change her career again and again she says no i will not. Some women are so suck in their head it drives me crazy. I am a high school drop out and i have nicer material things then anyone in my, or her fam. In MY opinion school is mostly for people who really just want to learn something inside out. Otherwise, to me, it is entirely a waste of time and money. I have zero interest in home work when i can be using that time to keep finding new ways and methods for my business with cars. I have another ex gf who is still going to school this is like seriously her tenth year of college for FBI type stuff. Could you IMAGINE how much time and money she has invested in herself?!? Just think if she got in an accident and passed away today, ALLLLLLLLLL that time and money flushed down the drain. That is how i look at it. I dont feel i will live long enough and stay with a single career to make any schooling be worth it. Financially i do better then every friend of mine, most likely because i am very smart with my dough. It is all about investing in the right things at the right time. I am currently wanting to add another source of income and just have a few diff sources of funds. If i could go back to my past i would dropped out sooner then 11th. I have zero regrets with that. Sorry for the life story rant. I feel lke school is for people who are uncreative and need to plant a safe path and possibly for some bragging rights lol. Some need it, and some dont. Follow your hearts calling. Maybe do some simple math with how much it would cost you with all the fees, home work hours etc.. Your time is obviously the most important thing of all.
  11. I went through this exactly so i know how horrible you feel. My hate for my job really brought my relationship down as well because i just wasnt happy with life all together. I finally got the balls to quit my safe and secure gov job, i left no option to return because if i had to i would rather not live. I left to pursue my love for cars, and i can tell you now that when you have to make something work, you will. If i was in your shoes, here is what i would do. First, you need to know what it is you would like to do with your work. What makes you happy? Your problem is that you keep jumping from job to job but they are all jobs that you do not want to do. You have no passion for them. So until you find out what it is you WANT to do every day of your life, this pattern will continue. My whole life has changed for the better i literally thank god every morning that i wake up now. Life is WAYYYYYYYY to short to be hating your job which is about half of what you do in life. If you have money saved up and you can figure out what it is that would make you happy every day. Leave your job right now and start going in the direction of your hapiness. If you do not have money saved and you have no idea what job would make you smile every day, then thats your first goal is to find what it is you want to do and then transition. I have had all sorts of jobs. When i was 18 i worked at AOL in the saves from cancelling dept.. That was a horrible job the things they made us do to keep people from cancelling. Yet they paid me literally about 100 an hour to do so. I hated the job so bad that i quit, all the money in the world is not worth hating your job every day. I would much rather find a way to survive on 10/hr and love my work, rather then make 100/hr and HATE it. Good luck, tke action now, life is too damn short to dilly dally.
  12. "Worry is a down payment on a problem you may never have"- some random dude on a car forum. "Youve got to participate in your own rescue" - Coach Corey Waye.
  13. You want to be independent but do not have a job? That is your first step, get your car back and get a job. How are you going to afford to live without him? Try not to worry about what others will think, it shouldnt concern you at all. If you did what everyone else wanted you to do in life you would be miserable and inauthentic. I bet there a a hundred videos on youtube about how to follow through, do some searching you will find exactly what you need. Good luck.
  14. I would hand your dude a copy of "how to be a 3% man, winning the heart of the woman of your dreams". Make sure he reads it, and i bet you he could win you back if he tried. Even though you dont think so at the moment, he would have to make many changes. I say this because the book will help him TONS, with you or without you it will change his life for the better.
