  1. @Jodistrict Inc internet 2.0 ready for the reboot Flood the zone with shit, truth and lies - the name of the game.
  2. @cistanche_enjoyer some people fully surrender and accept their circumstances. Some end it. It is an eternal struggle humans have attempting to control. For assurance. To relieve stress. All stemming from survival. Each of us require a different amount of control to feel OK. The surrender and endurance some people have is really a recognition we have no ability to control anything at all. It is a really wise person that can recognise how ableist they are and appreciate it without it being ripped away... If you want raw brutality visit a hospice or spend some time at hospitals. My work requires me to be in these environments. It is the most grounding thing I have witnessed.
  3. From the not knowing 🌱 @ivankiss don't be a little mutant, unless you want some of mommies zen stick through the neck I do think though, that if we are going the nonduality route, investigating duality and using concepts are needed to point to various parts of our experience we overlook. Especially for those of us heavy on intellect. But I think you know this, and the aim of this paragraph was to highlight the fact that more concepts were present potentially not aware of? 🫠 For myself personally, I think forcing nondual talk all the time is silly. Some people benefit from concepts and ideas initially. Some benefit from having to dig into the meat of a statement that isn't clear - at first. It's like walking up steps that are non complaint: each step is a fucken metre high and you have to climb and fall. Sometimes there is no hope to get up! The initial concepts used as nondual pointers are a little mobile scaffold to help. So once there you can kick the scaffold away and see the real unobstructed view. Rip the cataracts off. Like learning a system before you can break it. All these different methods should end up with a full deconstruction in the end, but everyone gets there in a different way. Some teachers get us to W O R K for it. Some learners can't do it that way. Anyway bit of a digress there, sorry Carl wasn't really at you!
  4. We reflect on what it is that is witnessing the thoughts. WHAT is perceiving the feelings. What is witnessing that? Those things do not make up our substance. You have a thought - it comes, it goes. What is watching that? And if that watching can contain any thought, any perception - what must it be to be able to do this without any effects on the thought or perception? The subject in isolation with all objects removed.
  5. @LoneWonderer I remain totally open with this topic because it could be - as you say - anything. I do see some sketchy stuff though, intermingled with curious reports. Cheers for the share !
  6. What I class as UFOs is actually an unidentified flying object. As in - these are highly likely to be private contractor owned drone tech as a possibility (among other possibilities). I mean unidentified as in, no one has come out to claim them. I do think this gets lost sometimes and twisted in with aliens etc But whatever these government boys are saying publicly - they have been allowed and cleared to say these things. Which is why I think it is a giant red flag.
  7. @Mafortu I think what you pointed to in your reads on the situation crossed over a lot with mine. AND I think it probably wasn't apparent I like remaining open with these sorts of things - I think I came at this with an interest that bordered on aggressive because of the derisive tone you injected into the post. In addition, I did wonder why you posted - what could your intentions be if you weren't aiming to convince anyone?
  8. @Mafortu You answered above - and I did ask
  9. @Mafortu I am laughing because I agree with a lot of the above - but I draw no conclusions as you have. I do not know I wonder why you chose to answer someone else though
  10. @Jowblob My speculations align with what you have rapped on above
  11. @Mafortu The burden of disproof. My experience is different. Time will reveal all.
  12. Yes okay, all well and good. Are you going to explain this and lay out the facts for us all, or act like a gatekeeper of some grand mystery that has the potential to reveal precisely what this phenomenon is? Lots of air and dancing around anything substantial in the post.
  13. Yep, this is the Big One. This contemplation eats Just awareness.
  14. @ivankiss the trolling intermingled with the haphazard splattering of earnestness 🤪 He's flirting with the fire. Will he be a good boy
  15. I can deal with some light - but not a lot. 1hr no light kindle or books before sleep. Phone is on flight mode. I wake at 4:50AM every day so I am outside while the sun rises (walking dog + construction 7am start). Sleep by 9pm. I like some sound and need a cold bedroom. Like, really cold. In addition - I can't eat within 3 hours of sleep time because it will fuck up the whole process
  16. Where's the temperature control? Amateur
  17. @Someone here You might like this from John Wheeler - an excerpt from one of his writings. I find you are sensing the futility of spirituality and life. How it all fits. What might be its purpose and application. It came up in my feed randomly and I thought of you: I do not know if you are heavily into non-duality - but this applies to seekers in general.
  18. Basher reports telepathy and mind reading is simply when 2 individuals think exactly alike at a moment in time
  19. One thing I will say about this topic - it has been interesting reading replies. There is so much coming up from user's subconsciousness. It is coming through from them in their posts with zero awareness - precisely because it is in the unconscious mind. Sorry to derail - carry on.
  20. Ah right okay - I think your usage of the words has twisted the meaning for me. 'Suffering physically' There is pain, and there is suffering. I sense that you want a cure for pain, suffering, or both. But it is just baked into reality. All we can alter are our perceptions of pain and suffering.
  21. I don't like to talk about my plans and goals unless I am trying to figure out a best course of action. Or consulting with someone I deem as an expert or has more knowledge. I have to have a real valid reason to talk about it. A goal. Otherwise, in my 40 years of experience, the dopamine and energy kick of talking about a plan or idea is enough for me to feel as if I had achieved it. I want all that energy and dopamine to be channelled into the task. If I talk about it, I hamstring myself. Rob myself of the energy to actualise it. Plus, I don't really listen to what people say as much in life. I just look at what they do. That shows you their values and beliefs better than any words.
  22. Exactly. Slap a nice little label on it and reduce it down so you can dis-identify it from your egoic beliefs. Voilà! Perhaps you could argue satanism is worshiping and pedestalising some dark deity - but that would be worshipping a concept or belief. So, a falsehood!
  23. The book enquires deeply into things like this. The post above by @Freshta is also a lovely anecdote illustrating it. @Sugarcoat linked a BRILLIANT youtube clip a while ago regarding pain and suffering from someone who suffers cluster headaches (one of the worst types of physical pain). Consider this example found experientially: The force of a large piece of concrete formwork pushes down onto some earth. The pushing force of the concrete down can represent pain. Physical, unavoidable pain. You want to stop this so you try to push the concrete off the soft earth. But as you push - you add a terrible shearing force laterally across the ground between the earth and concrete. Now you have 2 sources of pain. The existing pain pushing down - and the lateral force you are exerting. Heat and friction are added to the downward crushing. This lateral force is you resisting the pain, fighting the pain. This is the suffering component. You are the source of this force, which you exert with good intention - you think this force (suffering) will assist with the pain. But all it does is drain your energy. It actually makes the physical force of the concrete baring down harder to endure, because you are now wasting energy trying to push it aside. This is an example of how suffering and pain can be separate. And it is useful to interocept and self enquire to understand fully what mechanisms are at play internally, which ones we contribute to, and which are part of survival. I argue that you have not made this distinction - yet. I understand you will just repeat your assertion and resist what others are trying to touch on in this thread. And within that resistance, you are actually creating suffering (much like pushing the concrete aside) - you are suffering us all telling you that there is some suffering that is imaginary and avoidable. Ironic, isn't it? You won't get anywhere trying to argue on a forum if you won't even read that Ralston book....
