Before I discovered where Dr.P's house had been and starting going and having insights there, I was running by there and saw a fox run across the road. I found the fox holes while exploring in the woods. I went to Dr.P's and found that it had killed a white rabbit and eaten in there, mid-summer where it found a white rabbit I don't know, maybe it stole it from a farm. It left one foot. I wondered if that was a lucky sign, or a terrible one. Later last summer I went up the step where the old gazebo had been and saw and surprised the fox directly on the other side. It stared at me and I stared at it terrified it might have rabies and not run, but it did. Last week I made a bunch of art with rabbit and fox themes. The rabbits had a mystical flair to them, like the white rabbit or the moon rabbit and the fox theme was with flowers and roses.

Maybe just start with cutting out the white rice, or switch to wild rice. I can only have white rice infrequently or it makes me hungry quickly after and start to gain weight if I keep eating much of it.

What specific grains are you currently eating regularly?

@Zigzag Idiot I love it.

This has no continuation to the following entry and nothing to do Maslow, (or does it?) but Roger Castillo's description (or Ramesh Balsekar's?, doesn't matter) of the psychological self is a differentiation that I've never heard before. It seems to fit quite brilliantly. It's like a subtle differentiation following after a huge slap across the face that explains why the slap was warranted.

I started this crazy war with my thoughts although I don't remember it ever beginning or why, and then the very thing that was fighting and waging war with itself realized it was itself. I suppose that I could sign a treaty with myself, I could celebrate this date in the future of the day the war resolved. But we're still gonna forget and be really pissed off at each other for a long time. Thoughts are thoughts. Sigh. Who would have thought? Speaking of being pissed off, I'm confused about something. This morning Mu peed all over the house, ran around in circles and peed behind the love seat, under the table, everywhere. I swore and yelled. No more pretending I'm not mad. Then that was that, over pretty quick, felt good, no harm done. Am I just back to reacting this way about stuff? I noticed that my physical anger reactions feel good a few months ago, but then that's when I'm conscious of them, not attempting to control them. So I suppose that's the answer to my question. The difference between "consciousness" and "unconsciousness" in actuality is so very subtle and yet all consuming, that it's not.

At best people give advice based on what worked for them, at other times they just repeat beliefs they have been told by others. Cause and effect isn't a real thing, it's very shortsighted. It's great to listen to advice about what seemed to work or not work (or be true or false) for other people but by being wary of it you can remain open to all other possibilities.

There's no hard and fast rules. It's not like it's a patriarchy or something. Sometimes intuition itself is very... well what you might think of as "counter-intuitive". -
So last night I went back to the cemetery. Last time I was there I left the red rose on Dr.P's grave. It wasn't there anymore but in its place an animal had pooped right on his grave. "Through your love existence and nonexistence merge. All opposites unite. All that is profane becomes sacred again.”― Rumi Read this is a Laura Doyle email this morning. "Complaints are lazy desires."

It just something that happens. To be honest anything and everything, there's great love and inspiration, a love of truth but there's also been a lot of suffering. You can have your truth AND your love. The password I used a lot when I was a teenager before they started making you use more capitals and numbers was truthlove. Recently noticed another one I thought was completely nonsensical thing that came to me at the time just so I could remember it more easily is a crazy nondual pointer. -

On one level everything is absurd and nothing can be taken seriously. On another life is an epic adventure so naturally wanting to master it is all part of the absurd fun and living life to the fullest. Jim doesn't discourage doing any of the practices at all. Eating and breathing is absurd. You can have your cake and eat it too, create, live, learn, excel with all the charge and passion you can muster, all while knowing there's no way you can fail and do anything else. The teaching isn't for anyone, which means that it's not FOR anyone else here on the forum either. -

He is quite clear that it's atrocious (hilarious) lies, that teaching nonduality is impossible, there are no true teachings on nonduality, just pointing you to the truth of no truth/no lies, no duality between the two. Ironically his teaching is very deep and clear. Ironically again, the clearest teachings can be very susceptible to being misunderstood. The pitfall with teachings like Jim's is that it seems to be easy to seek security in them, not realizing that security is being grabbed or owned by something. That's no reflection on the teaching, which I personally think is one of the most brilliant ones out there. Each teaching has certain pitfalls. Leo acknowledges the seeker and the notion of levels of advancement, hierarchies and places to get. But if you make the mistake of saying or assuming that a teaching that denies levels is a HIGHER teaching than one that does not, you yourself are the one who gave reality and meaning to there being levels of realization. Opps. It's a tricky game. No winners, no losers, no teachers, no students and there aren't even quitters. It's so damn boring it's absolutely fascinating. -
It's an enjoyable way to connect with one another.

I love Jim and Rupert just as much in different ways. Honestly couldn't say one is more advanced than the other. You really have to deeply explore all kinds of teachings, then forget them and explore on your own. Then go back to the same teaching and you find that the SAME recording or words have completely morphed and changed meaning. Total mind fuck. It was never the same recording twice. There are no teachers. You're creating this all on the fly, then giving it meaning and tricking yourself into thinking you know what you remember and know what you've heard. It really is that wild. -

Too bad words don't teach. Jim Newman says some atrocious lies but the waaay he says them, the hilarity, the energy together with the words is magic. (It's not magic. ) The stories he tells and writes off as "it's just a story" are very revealing. (nothing is revealed ) I don't think the pointers alone as words work here on the forum except in very specific circumstances. Of course everything is already working more perfectly than we could think or plan it. -

You create your reality by giving attention and focus to the things you do. -

@DrewNows Interesting! M: I was undeceived, that is all. I used to create a world and populate it — now I don’t do it any more. Q: Where do you live, then? M: In the void beyond being and non-being, beyond consciousness. This void is also fulness; do not pity me. It is like a man saying: ‘I have done my work, there is nothing left to do’. "You tend to separate things in time and then look for causes." I copied the line above and somehow it got pasted into google accidentally and obsessive compulsive disorder came up first. Too frickin' funny.

Castile soap just COATS everything in my experience. Good for dry skin, not good for thorough cleaning or your drains.

Call your dental office to ask if it's normal. If it's right after I'd expect so. How long has it been?

That's a bad thing? Right now I love Jim Newman more than I loved Leonardo Dicaprio when I was 12. With some teachers you have to bring your own enthusiasm and love along, cause you aren't getting any from them. BYOB
