  1. Are you open to the possibility that Spiral Dynamics isn't real? (Just listened to Leos's "how Openmindedness works" episode yesterday )
  2. also trump is an idiot (or a genius actor) and a narcissist child. but i still don't get how he's more warmongering than those others
  3. Yea they picked their fights and ended up killing millions, oh much better they are also lies about WMD's etc. etc. Hitler picked his fights too, is he also better?
  4. So Bush started wars which ended up killing hundreds of thousands of people, maybe millions. Countless civilians. Obama, Hillary etc. took out Gaddafi and supported (extremist) rebels in Syria which made those places highly unstable, conflicts were started which killed countless of civilians and still are. This caused the refugee crisis in Europe and many terrorist attacks there. Slavery flourished because of it. Drone strikes on weddings. Hillary gleefully saying that they killed Gaddafi etc. etc. etc. but they are all OK and Trump is much worse because he is "unstable and doesn't listen"? They're all scummy and we deserve much better, get with the program
  5. look i'm not here to defend trump. but i fail to see how he is more warmongering than obama/hillary/bush/clinton? also i didn't want to post this video, but since the voting has been done it doesn't matter anyway. but it seems biden is not a decent guy, i just really heard about this stuff yesterday. how he threw young black men mostly into jail for decades for small amounts of crack and was happily defending it. the only reason voting for the guy is the environment and hopefully less divisiveness in the us. bern or bust
  6. Would you lock up people for future crimes they might commit? Or they might not?
  7. Not sure if you're joking or not, you probably are. Millions have been killed in concentration camps in Germany. Trumps crew thus far didn't start more wars than Obamas Or are you saying the murdering/concentration camps etc. is soon to come in the second term? I wouldn't vote Trump btw. but i think this is the silliest rethoric
  8. Do you think the Quran is truer than other books (for example the Bhagavad Gita) and if so why?
  9. Fall is beautiful. Taking walks in the forest, or in parks, looking at the trees. Staying present. Squirrels and other animals are gathering their food for winter is coming soon. The changing colors. Seeing the leaves fall. The cycle. Leaves are dying. And i'm eating pumpkin almost everyday.
  10. There is some truth in everything for sure. But probably also a loooot of bs in those scriptures
  11. I did get a cortisol test, the doc said it's fine but i didn't really believe him I'll have to find the thyroid profile sometime, they said it's fine though. I was low on vitamin b12 at that time, so i got shots, also kinda of low-ish in zinc, and at some point ferritin. Actually fasting seems like a good thing for me, since i sometimes have gut issues and a sensitive gut. I like it. Yea thanks, i don't really think i could be even more in nature than i already am though. also it differs a lot, today i'm much less fatigued than yesterday.
  12. Well if that's your incentive, then that seems like the ego for sure.
  13. If we take a look at history. Did things like women's rights, religions, systems of governments, oppression of certain groups, drug laws etc. change mostly because of pressure from the outside and inside. Did it change more because of insight and understanding. Was ist a mix of those and others. Did it just evolve naturally. Is it different case by case or was there another reason?
  14. Yea our boy Eckhart Tolle is probably right when he says "It's not really about what you do but how you do it" With acceptance, the least resistance possible, staying in the moment etc.
  15. You can only really tell what's a waste of time for yourself imo. For me things like travelling, going out into nature are almost always worth doing and maybe at some point they won't. Imagine you're in detention and have to fill your time or you already passed the finish line at a race, what would you like to do now?
  16. Yea i do think we need a bit of conservatism too. Conservatism as in conserving some things for a certain amount of time. Getting stability etc. But in the end progressivism is stronger as it's creative and the universe is flowing.
  17. Although sometimes those "glitches" and "backlashes" seem to take hundreds and hundreds of years. Like for example the dark ages in Europe. Where it seemed to regress a lot after the romans/greeks. Although it's hard to tell as there are not that many writings of that time and some natural disasters/plagues et. could have fed into it, so it wouldn't be only the humans fault. Or in Egypt the old kingdom was seen as the pyramid builders, while the later kingdoms didn't build such tall structures. Don't know which society was better for the general "Egyptian" though In Rome the late period is seen chaotic with civil wars, moral decay, tyranny etc. But yea i hope we get it right this time around
  18. Both and also soil, photosynthesis, mitosis, dna etc.
