  1. you feel good because you realize that you, in the relative sense, are a cog of a whole, and that the most stupid and against yourself that you can do is to behave in a selfish and mean way.
  2. If you are in a high state of consciousness, you see something very strange: nothing is real, nor did it happen, there was no holocaust, no big bang, no others. there is no course from before to now. reality is not created in steps, there is no evolution. It is something too strange to be true, as if you had put all this decoration with the sole purpose of deceiving yourself. It seems somewhat sinister and crazy, but it is clearly seen. is that really so?
  3. agree in my ignorance about Buddhism. rather superficial knowledge, but this orientation towards the cessation of the cycle seems evident to me. And about the suffering...well, as @Tim R said , let's study a bit
  4. Agree. And a very negative vision of life, like a penance to be avoided. it is a religion that has the ultimate goal of ceasing to be reborn, that says it all
  5. well I agree but only in part. there is no one in the sense that the person with his history, qualities, projection, was unreal, but there is existence. the pure present moment, call it what you want. many said that this is only the first step in awakening. the i, that ramana maharshi used to say, god, as many others says. The thing is that something is
  6. I think I know what you mean. When you wake up from a dream, the you inside the dream is essentially the same as outside the dream. When you wake up from the dream of the ego there is still something, although without the illusory characteristics that the ego gave it. it is empty consciousness. What I don't know is what else this empty conscience can awaken to.
  7. Yeah, this is the key of the trascendence , realize that. But how? Trascending the ego hehe. for one thing to happen, the other has to happen first. like without psychedelics? very rarely. I would not say that if you transcend the ego it is seen that if you die you will continue. rather that there is no one who can die
  8. It's an objective appreciation.i have understood what the ego is many years ago, but it was impossible for me to transcend it until I discovered psychedelics and 5meo, a short time ago, and even now it takes hours of meditation every day so that it does not become too heavy. I know people who are very interested in spirituality, who do vipasana retreats, go to meditate in India and things like that and have not even remotely floated above the ego for a minute. most of humanity lives in the ego, and the possibility that separation is an illusion does not occur to them. So I can say that the ego is real, that the mind is innately programmed to carry out this construction, and that for that reason it is difficult to transcend it.
  9. If you deconstruct the ego, after all the thought and concepts you have acquired, you find a basis: the need to survive. this is something real, genetic. as the human survives thanks to social support, this need to survive translates into a need for acceptance. It is not easy to get out of this, it is a labyrinth with no way out, no matter how much you go through it, you get nowhere, you have to rise above it. understand that you are not only a survival machine
  10. Being able to dissolve the ego on a daily basis is in my opinion the key to happiness. It is not easy because if you analyze what I just said, it is: I am the ego, I want to be happier, therefore I am going to dissolve the ego, so myself. the ego cannot do it. he can only understand himself in the deepest way possible, and then give up the compulsive need to be in control. The usual thing is that to get to this, some experience with psychedelics is necessary that dissolves the ego in a violent way. Once the ego has seen that not being in control doesn't mean death, it will be easier to relax and dissolve with meditation. the point is that when the ego dissolves it is not replaced by another better ego but by emptiness, the present moment without more, without content. nothing to hold onto or control. it is very challenging for the ego, but that is freedom. you have to get used to it like a climber gets used to being on a wall. based on practice
  11. the separate self is inherent in the human being. It is not a false identification or an error, it is a genetic characteristic. just as in a seed it is inscribed that a tree will develop branches, a human will develop a self, interrelated with other selves. In this society there is a lot of dysfunctionality of the I, legions of people who live in a gray area. In x, or xvii century the i was much more solid than a xxi century i. many people had a huge, solid self, and a good self-image that was passed down from parent to child. Today we are raised in the indefiniteness, and that generates suffering, misplacement, madness, but it also gives the possibility of awakening. There is no room for solid i nowadays. they are an anachronism, something out of place, antiques. how to educate a child today? very difficult. in non-duality? would that be good for a child?
  12. This is hard, but nothing compared to a nursing home. If you want to experience the existential terror of being human, go see where they keep the old ones when they are no longer good for anything. Decapitation is 1 minute and done, this shit least for years
  13. the essence of the ego is its fragmenting activity. it turns indefinite reality into something definite. fragment the present moment into many moments past and future. and fragments the indefinite emptiness of being in the "i" as opposed to what is not the i
  14. the ego is the mind, what defines us as human. it is all thought, memory and projection. He is the creator of time, of life as a progression with past, present and future. it is any sense or meaning. basically it is all the software that makes us work in the world, and especially the one programmed through language. it is a ghostly entity that makes the human kind a perfect survival machine
  15. the matter is much more subtle than pushing by force of will. the one who pushes is the ego, which (paradoxically) tries to displace the ego, to be more pure, true, etc. so another better ego. when what you have to do is stop. How can the action of something stop itself, when the same action is strengthening that something? can not. the only violent way to stop the ego is a psychedelic blow. The non-violent way is to sit for hours a day without expecting anything, without wanting anything more than to sit and observe, be
  16. I think the issue is when meditation becomes your main hobby, your passion, what you do before anything else. the other is as if you want to do rock climbing and you read a lot of books about climbing. Okay, you can talk about it over a few beers, but you're not even remotely a climber. you need years of sticking to the rock before that
  17. Nobody here transcends survival, at most we take a look at what there is if you stop survival mode for a while, but for this you have to have guaranteed survival, if not, it will be difficult not to focus exclusively on it. And the connor thing ... well, using homeless people to get views on YouTube to earn money doesn't seem like an example of altruistic holiness to me
  18. @Javfly33 the ego is a smart bastard. a genius. it disguises itself in many ways. in the end, all that is software is ego. I mean any thought, idea, concept. The difficult thing about this is being able to be without thought or concept, even for a moment, it is anti-human. you have to fool yourself. meditation and psychedelics are the tool, but don't think psychedelics are going to do the job for you. you have to want to transcend the concept, not replace it with another. Psychedelic could help you , but you must want to let the ego go (the ego must want to let himself go)
  19. @Javfly33 you do not understand the scope of the ego game. all you think about is ego. solipism, or that we are many, pure ego. you are not someone, you are something. that something is unlike anything you can think of. stop thinking and get out of the ego, or keep thinking and stay in the ego, but don't mistake one for the other
  20. reality takes itself as a model to be. you are the reality that takes shape in a determined energy pattern. You are not the form, but the reality, but the form exists. During your life this form changes, sometimes radically, creating a new pattern. When you die, this pattern will serve as a model for another in which reality will be, to keep changing
  21. I once had a realization, and since then everything has been different. I was brooding and suffering for everything that in my life was not as it should be, when suddenly I saw the void where there was nothing, and from the void something appeared, and that something was what it is. and I saw that judging it as good or bad was a complete delusion. what it is shone like a perfect jewel, it could not be otherwise, since it was what it is, the only thing that exists, without being able to be compared with anything else. any appraisal of that as good or bad was nonsense, insanity. like saying that the blue of the sky is not good. it's the sky, it's perfect, it's a miracle. giving an opinion on whether it is correct or not is as if a chimpanzee thinks if the arrangement of the galaxies is not correct. every thing in your life is the facet of a perfect diamond. I know it sounds like cheap self help but it is. but you have to see the void to realize that
  22. Looks like that reality is in a way a test. I see the obstacles placed at the exact point, the sensitive and intelligent being stuck in the labyrinth of rats, to which tests are proposed. I see a reality that creates itself and is subject to its own rules, which it cannot break. it is not omnipotent, it has to adapt itself. I also see enormous ambition, a desire for greater complexity. More than faith in God, it is service to God. so to ourselves. we have something to do, no matter how small, a step to climb in our ambition to be
  23. @Javfly33 Yes, yes, I know. I think God made it that way because He couldn't do it any other way. it had to be that way. But we must not underestimate human pain, which is the engine of evolution. if you leave the wheel you see that everything is software, a trick to make us dance that we ourselves do. but what about those who don't see it? his pain is enormous. I walk down the street and I see people caught in a terrible trap, in the end everything will be fixed, they will be free, but first, the matter is not funny
  24. God is quite a tyrant. what matters to him about his hamsters is that they run on the wheel, that they do what they have to do. His happiness is irrelevant. Yeah, he's the hamsters, I guess that's the only way for them to run. the thoughts, the whole movie, are software for the monkey to prosper, exist, survive, advance. a scam, but the monkey is a soldier and he did not come here to have a good time
  25. the past is a construction of your mind, since .... the present is another construction of your mind, unless you are in a mindless state, pure empty consciousness, then it will not be past since it will be all the same. To remember something, you have to give it meaning, and that is what the mind does. it shapes, limits, encapsulates the present moment, and thus can be classified in memory. and so you create the world. the whole world is a mental creation
