  1. @The Mystical Man The levels that can be traversed with psychedelics + meditative and contemplative skill puts that achieved with meditation/contemplation alone to shame. If your goals are high enough, meditation/contemplation alone is just like trying to be a world class Olympic weightlifter without using anabolic steroids. And yeah, it is dangerous to do what it takes to achieve the highest goals.
  2. Completely. Over Here, it’s quite clear that, at least in the (apparently) finite reality, understanding can and will only accelerate (of course, disregarding inevitable fluctuations in the trend) — I can only imagine it’s gotta be the same over There. For me though, while I still occasionally use psychedelics, I’ve been using progressively less, as it’s basically a world-ending ordeal each time. I very much feel (eerily, I might add) like one of these days, I won’t be coming back. ? ? ? ?... ? Stupid I know... though idk... maybe you can relate lol But at the risk of sounding sappy... It’s like with this video, you’ve transcended Teacher, and have come full circle, to Friend. Not merely “My friend.” Just: Friend. (while still of course effectively fulfilling the role of teacher) ❤️ i.e. lots of praise blah blah praise that and the other blah praise ? what can I say lol
  3. @Inliytened1 The reason Leo’s latest video is so powerful, imo, is that it doesn’t appear to allow much (if any) room for meaningful criticism. Not to make anything super special of it, but it’s quite a masterpiece. Truth bomb of the highest order.
  4. @Leo Gura Oh you’re good. It was a meaningless pick-apart. Just keep on doing what you’re doing ?. “You” got this. “We” all got this.
  5. @Fran11 @Leo Gura I’m just saying, from here, it seems like you could’ve come out with this video earlier — that’s not a criticism, it’s a compliment (yeah... tricky, but it really is). It was a perfect explanation of God realization exactly as I see it, but I don’t have the skill (and admittedly, perhaps not quite the experience) to convey myself. I mean... lol... even down to the heavy metals thing — I went through basically the exact same process. Check my damn posts (edit: comments) ?. The only part of the video that I would pick apart: your conception of emptiness. Emptiness, my friend, is not mere experience of voidness. It is in fact also the intuitive recognition of the voidness of everything, ultimately. You precisely pointed to the very depths of emptiness when you described an aspect of God Mode: the infinite endless love. And how it comes with strings attached: meaninglessness. That is also emptiness. I’m not telling you anything you don’t know; just picking apart language. It’s difficult to talk about this stuff, and I don’t have nearly the talent (nor the platform) for it as you do, so this post (comment/reply) of mine could be totally unhelpful on my part. Anyway, cheers.
  6. You might have more success with one of the following 3; I know I did: 1. simply noticing your mental state (activity, mood, emotional charge such as anger/spacing-out/etc, quietude, etc) in real time, all day, no matter what the situation 2. radiating loving kindness at all times either to a spiritual friend that you love, to yourself, or to all beings — try to choose one and stick with it, but when in crowds just radiate to the people around you 3. self inquiry or some type of insight practice that views all experience as not-you since “I’m over here and it’s over there” to make the duality illusion glaringly obvious. If you transcend that last one, some contemplation will generally go on effortlessly (or with effortless effort) and there maybe won’t be a whole lot of questions about what to do with your practice.
  7. In that case you’re right. I would only say the God you describe does not exist, in my view. I was referring to what you might call the Tao. Splitting hairs maybe, but now we understand each other. My bad I guess.
  8. ? It’s more about the direct/cognitive event than the spiritual knowledge though. Which I’m sure is not news to you.
  9. ^^ And don’t forget@Guru Fat Bastard time is among that which @James123 refers to as thought as well.
  10. I feel you. the original comment of mine you responded to was me splitting hairs (well, disagreeing) with someone else who seemed to say God was precisely not beyond belief. Or maybe I misunderstood you (or them) idk.
  11. ? ? ? When taken-for-granted beliefs and knowing fall away, what seems to be unveiled is what’s described in terms such as spacious aliveness; empty fullness; etc.
  12. Yeah... it was all I had other than “wrong” ?
  13. Just let it happen. Let go. What you’ve got is a blessing. Probably the best way to go balls deep is to be hesitant about going balls deep ?
  14. @tatsumaru However, if by "God," one means "what is," or unconditional love, then God is certainly beyond belief.
  15. That would seem to be a different level of abstraction. Reincarnation is relatively more actual (alterations not accessible by individual imagination) than that. Of course there are no past lives, ultimately. Reincarnation merely seems to happen. It's a dream (to consider it ultimate reality).
  16. Ultimately, nothing is happening. This is merely a singularity; liberation, appearing as everything, including "time." Relatively, there are apparent past lives. I am certainly not claiming it makes sense . I've simply become directly conscious of its reality -- though ultimately, there is no reality (and that I cannot explain -- it is beyond experience and logic).
  17. Exactly! But reincarnation does apparently happen. It's just a psychic reality, or as you say "imaginary." Yes. Precisely. i.e. death has no reality, whatsoever.
  18. True! There isn't a better way to talk about it, however. Words fail. Maybe replace "liberated one" with "no one." That might strike a bit closer, depending on the viewer. To be clear, yes, no one is liberated. i.e. there is only Heaven, but with no one in it. When certainty or doubt "appear to you" (you are certain or doubtful), "you" are (only apparently) "sticking your neck out of liberation." For no reason. Same goes for judging-caring; intending-expecting, just as much as certainty-doubt. These can still apparently happen in liberation, as long as there isn't anyone doing it (or being that). Though of course, no one can escape liberation. There isn't anyone doing or being anything.
  19. There is no contradiction, ultimately. Selfishness is not a problem. Selflessness is generally more fruitful, but selfishness adds flavor to the Freedom that is What Is; what many might call God. There is even a valid view which sees compassion as complicity, because it reinforces the belief in personhood. But ultimately, that is of course not a problem either. I tend to generally err on the side of compassion (and selflessness), but not in every situation... however, that happens consciously -- that's the key, in my view.
  20. A baseless claim needs not a counterargument. In fact... all claims are ultimately based in nothing.
  21. The dream is that "you" can know anything for sure. In liberation, there is no certainty, nor doubt. Seeker either believes in things, or believes in nothing. Liberated one does not believe, but is never confused.
  22. I don't mean anything too radical, but yeah, like completely skipping just a full night or 2 of sleep and contemplating instead. For instance, limiting sleep to 4 hours a night for a week or so is not enough sleep deprivation to provide desirable effects, ime. In fact, you may notice that the more conscious you become (which will at first manifest as detachment), the closer to 4 hours per night you'll feel is actually alright. Less than 4h/night seems to be deleterious to health with pretty much no exceptions. But skipping a night (or preferably 2) once in a blue moon certainly can provide the positive contemplative benefits of sleep deprivation, ime.
