  1. @electroBeam Woah, that sounds pretty rough. YES! You put into words what I couldn't. I experience somehow familiar feelings. Also do you sometime feel like "You" are loosing control over your body? Like for example - you reach out to turn off a light switch, but the movement itself suddenly becomes automatic, the arm turns the switch and then returns to its previous position without 'You' actually doing or controlling anything? I get this a lot.. ..and the damn nightmares.. they all have meaning, very very unpleasant bad shit is surfacing. Do you experience them aswell ?
  2. Yes. I already took a brake from self-inquiry for a week, but it looks like it's time for a break from meditation aswell. However - those nightmares really do have meaning, they are the output of things I really should correct in my life. But blue rings under my eyes and foggy thinking due to lack of sleep fucks up my daily life.
  3. I doubt it. My symptoms of body getting swung around are not uncommon. Leo even mentions some of them in his video 'Dark side of meditation' also other sources talk about it. Also nightmares are not so uncommon and are considered to be a 'normal' part of this journey. It is still unpleasant tho if we need a judgement on this.
  4. Kundalini ain't nothing to be fucked with. I've been researching this Yoga for a while also some users have already shared their experience in these topics (pure gold) Is kundalini yoga dangerous? Nightmares after kundalini yoga
  5. Yup, it's all the same 'stuff' I guess the key here is to realize what is that 'stuff'?
  6. And again, its probably absolutely fine to discuss it here, but reason for locking that topic is not about the discussion itself, its about teaching bullscrap to others. It's about how the topic starter delivered his ideas in a teaching type of way, which how ,I already mentioned, is probably false. And that is not discussing. Edit: Here it is.
  7. What about it? A newbie started a topic where he expresses his views. He expresses them in a teaching type of way. Information, probably, is spiritually incorrect, and because of that the topic got locked.
  8. @Gesundheit I think you've completely missed the point of these rules. Its sot that the content doesn't get flooded with idiotic shit posts & comments that have absolutely no contribution to spirituality/self-help/politics etc.
  9. I would have called you in a lot of different names (which are just words) but we have new rules (which are also just words) so I can't do it.
  10. Why would this even come as a surprise? If (most) society already needs laws so that there would be atleast some sort of order, how could internet be any different, especially forums where there are discussions about politics/religion.
  11. If you have a big apartment/flat. Throw a party, socialize, talk to people, work on your communication skills, learn all that status bullshit, learn how to respond when ur being made fun of, explore yourself trough others, learn how to pick up chicks etc. In the remaining time work on meditation, yoga, self-inquiry, self help books. Atleast that's what I would do if I'd have a big apartment with free rooms, if it wouldn't bother the neighbors ofc.
  12. My daily enlightenment practices include 35minute meditation, where I sit with my eyes closed and actively release thoughts if they arise, and keep my attention on my breath. After meditation I take a short brake - drink water, bathroom or stretch, then I proceed with self-inquiry 45minutes, where my goal (Up to now) was to realize what is "I". Now I'm just trying to look at what the question "What is existance?" is pointing at, the thing I cant grasp with my mind. Anyway, today I tried 'Kundalini' Yoga for the first time following this video, and... woooh. That is something. So my question is - are the techniques in this video effective? Is it worth continuing it like this? Also after my session I started googling, looking for what people say about this and I encountered an interesting video where Sadhguru explains, why is it dangerous. He says something like about "Jumping into an abyss", "You might not be ready for change" etc. But how does this apply practically? What are the chances of anything dangerous happening? I mean I've already experienced some very very unpleasant moments trough self-inquiry (Realizing "I" is illusory, realizing everything is made of the same 'stuff', existencial terrors, 'dark night of the soul' etc) What can go wrong?
  13. I wouldn't be so sure about that... Understandable.
  14. Would this happen to be you by any coinsidence?
  15. Yes, from the research i've made from online sources, this is probably the most common issue. If you take a look a few posts previously @Toby mentioned his 3rd eye hurting for ~ 8 years. Fuck man, hope you got it solved out. However - most kundalini exercises include such practices .. Are you sure that you didn't already have an medical issue related to the ring? Considering that you mentioned that you've actually awakened from kundalini practices, what alternatives would you suggest, and what exactly do you mean by "start supporting yourself?"
  16. Yeah, I did a little research already. Thanks guys!
  17. Yes, I thought of this too, I wonder what would she do if she suddenly woke up, hehe. Okay, in conclusion kundalini is probably not the best thing to do for me now. After a bit more research Kriya yoga seems like a safer alternative, also it's almost close to my daily routine, only the meditation is different - focuses on spine. However, I can't seem to find any kriya yoga exercises, could you provide with some?
  18. Okay, so this is basically what every other source points out / boils down to. What do you think about the exercises in the video in the topic?
  19. You'll need to be a bit more specific about your feelings and what exactly are you feeling, and thinking. If you haven't really done some more or less serious meditation or self inquiry, I doubt that the "I" is really starting to loosen up You might be just starting to becoming more aware of the "I" which the ego might start to feel as a threat. Probably nothing to do with kundalini.
  20. Woah. Never heard of this before. Thanks for you sharing this. Do you have any sources to guidelines/articles/videos whatever on how to do it properly?
  21. I've already been trough "the dark night of the soul" in-fact it was one of the first things that happened when I started my journey, heh, so I started kinda rough. Anyway, Yes, of course, neither this forum or Leo are my only sources, I'm going trough a couple of them, but most of them really just point out to the same thing which is - don't do it, if you're clueless about spirituality and the things that you know that you can or you know you cannot handle. The dude that said his third eye was in pain for 8 years still seems kinda rough tho, and hilarious.
  22. Thanks for your detailed explanation. So in conclusion the "bad" side of kundalini is that it might bring up traumas (childhood abuse, rape, beatings, etc) that might interfere with everyday life? If so, meh, been there done that. I have actually cried (I'm a 27 year old 'tough' looking dude) and had troubles falling asleep just from the childhood 'bad' things that self-inquiry and meditation bring up, and still sometimes bring up. I've had and still sometimes have nightmares of my abusive father and so on. But I've learnt to deal with that. So would you guys @iTommy & @Toby recommend to continue this yoga practice considering my experience?
  23. Could You please be more specific and describe exactly this unpleasant process, and how exactly did it happen to you? What books would you recommend, maybe you could recommend a youtube/any video of better techniques on how to do this yoga?
