  1. @YaNanNallari I don't 'need' to do anything, really. But I do love being aware, hence my username
  2. @Nahm That answers my question pretty well. Meditation and psychedelics it is
  3. @LfcCharlie4 Having a spiritual tutor does sound good, probably not for me though. Thanks for the detailed reply I can agree with what you're saying about beauty being in every moment. I also broke up with my girlfriend of 2 years 2 weeks ago, and even though I am sad, I feel more peaceful and connected with being than usual
  4. @inFlow Not too fussed about being creatively impaired @John Doe But if it is a potent psychedelic, couldn't it be used for consciousness work? I've heard 5meo is just better
  5. @Leo Gura It's very rare where I live. Would normal DMT suffice?
  6. @James123 4 hours? Wow. I agree with that one. After a good meditation, I feel like I am in a similar state to the come-down of a trip. It's beautiful
  7. Better yet: Are you existing, or ignorant of the fact that you exist
  8. To my understanding, you can begin to realise non-duality without having a complete ego death. ( Sounds contradictory ) Obviously your ego was somewhat in the picture, it wasn't completely obliterated. That is very uncommon with weed alone. The blissful state you are describing sounds like Astral Being ( a term Nahm introduced to me ) I have used weed to enter similar states, but IMO it isn't as real / profound as a proper psych.
  9. @Someone here As I said, it is in the sense that a dream is indifferent to waking reality. Dreams and 'real life' are part of the same dream. The real answer is, you are dreaming everything and nothing at the simultaneously. Infinite potential / mind. Consciousness. I was refraining from saying that though, because giving you the answer straight up isn't gonna make any sense until you have the foundations.
  10. @Karas How did you gain such wisdom?
  11. @Someone here I think you are missing my intention. That was a thought experiment. Which was intended to make you consider that your specific 'version' of reality is not any more real than any other, without getting you to believe anything other than what you already do.
  12. Also, you are capable of changing the energy, rather than returning it
  13. Subjective / assumption @Someone here Heres a little thought experiment If you truly believe the mind is a material thing, run by neurons, then you could say it is like a computer. There are different types of computers with different circuitry / components to one another, which serve different purposes. Some can be used to auto-pilot a plane, or take a photo on your phone. So in theory, a different 'cocktail' of neurons could create ( dream ) an entirely different reality in which science is redundant! This little thought experiment shows that the materialist paradigm, and science is essentially imaginary. You can disprove the materialist paradigm... within the materialist paradigm? Your currently state, what you call reality, is NOT special! There are many other states!!!! Now of course, the mind is not run by neurons. Those are imaginary
  14. Conversation can lead to opening of the mind. @Someone here This realisation can open your mind to many things if you contemplate further. That's the thing - the brain is not 'dreaming' awareness. You are 'dreaming' the brain! Under closer inspection you will realise that your brain is a concept within your mind. Consciousness cannot be measured
  15. @Someone here Life is a dream, in the sense that it is fundamentally indifferent to a dream you have when you are asleep. Think of the term, 'awakening'
  16. It's literally an endless source of toxic stage-orange traits.
  17. You just highlighted the two MOST important tools for learning how the mind works almost never*
  18. @Nahm So, sort of pleasing the ego? I think I get what you mean. Although I have been doing my ordinary stuff recently, I don't feel particularly less aware, or confused / frustrated about reality. My mind is still constantly self-inquiring, even when I don't really feel like it. So I guess I can rely on my obsession with enlightenment to keep me in alignment while I go through this rough patch.
  19. Recently, life has been very turbulent. I am trying to get over a breakup while dealing with a lot of negative emotions, and I have been using old habits that I usually abstain from to escape. ( Weed, video games, porn ). I just have no motivation to sit down and read for a while, to try a new self-actualisation technique, anything really. ( I am still meditating however ). Will this just make the problem worse, or should I wait before I start pushing myself to develop again?
  20. It can be so hard to ground yourself. If you happen to be in the right setting it can be amazing, but otherwise you just get stuck in a delusional & dense mind-fog. Glad I'm not the only one!
  21. Good point, everything is relative. I'll start doing things relative to my current baseline, and as I start find more clarity, I'll do more ambitious things. Thanks!
  22. I hate it, but at the same time I love it. It has shown me LOVE, and it has given me answers and perspectives that have changed my life. It has also caused me to believe totally ridiculous and delusional things. Once I smoked too much and convinced myself I had spontaneously gone deaf! It usually only gives me great insights / therapeutic benefits when I use it VERY consciously. ( So, don't get into the habit of smoking everyday ) edit: the deaf thing was when it was mixed with LSD. Still.
  23. @Preety_India Thank you, this is very reassuring. @loub That was a good link, being aware of the habits / addictions you have when certain feelings arise, and separating those from the feelings themselves / yourself is very important to recovery & the path in general. What does this mean? @Nahm The answer is often counter intuitive, I guess. I feel like that would be a bad idea though...
  24. Psychedelics increase your awareness. If done correctly, you will come out of the trip slightly ( or possibly greatly ) more aware than you were before. Reality may feel 'trippy', not because of some strange after-affect, but because you begin to realise that what you call a 'trip' is constantly happening in your 'sober state'. These words will only have any meaning once you try it. So, when you are stable, confident, and prepared, go and find out for yourself. No amount of explanation will satisfy your curiosity. I integrate my experiences by contemplating the questions they leave me with, which lead to more realisations.
