  1. Why does our emotions constantly change? And our happiness is limited? Why do we randomly feel more "negative" feelings throughout the day for no reason? ( i mean you could say its because of created negative thoughts by ourselves BUT even if you control your thoughts you are still have a feeling of being pulled back to just feeling normal or feeling a little bit bored)
  2. @Princess Arabia but why should we try to be happy if we are depressed? Why do anything at all? And also should i listen to this advice? Because you are much more developed consciously and maybe i shouldnt apply this stuff. @Raze i've only watched the first episode. I think being, mindfulness brings calmness and some contentment. It depends how we define happiness.
  3. Dr K said and also i've read a book on happiness that we always want more. A successful doctor, banker, lawyer who has lots of money and could retire still works, still wants a bigger position and more money. And they said these things dont actually make you happy they just keep you in a wheel. Also a weird stuff is that Dr K said in an interview is that when he was 22 year old he was ready to go for the spiritual path but his teacher was like no, u should go to university, get a doctorate, live a material life. Then let go from these things. I dont understand why. Even if you know it wont make you happy u still should go live a material life, make lots of money, experience lower conscious rewards? And also should you just go for balance and just have fun, do whatever if happiness comes from inside and success and outside things wont make you happy? If hoarding knowledge, being loved, thinking etc. can be an addiction then is the ultimate goal is to be content with being? Should u be happy just by being? Or is the mix of love, money, carrer, friends, thinking(or knowledge or spirituality) is fine?
  4. In my opinion forgetfulness is the most important thing on this journey. (After self-deception. But i dont have clue on how deep self-deception is, im a regular person and I think for most people on this journey forgetfulness is the most important) Journaling down stuff is the most important stuff. After you have done lots of this work its not enough to understand it because you can forget it. For example: (these are some of the things that comes to my mind right now) -You've lived hundreds of days like this, nothing bad will happen -be grateful of how much your parents helped you -be grateful, chinese people work from 9am to 9pm -Ask yourself right now how do you feel? What thoughts did you have before reading your notes? -Dont rush, why? I made this post a while ago: Razard86 talked about acceptance. But im not on that consciousness level like a buddhist to accept whatever that is happening. Why am i trying to improve myself? What about if its about suffering? Sometimes i just sit down and try to brainstorm ideas. Actually applying ideas are really important. But sometimes its better to just remind yourself of these thoughts. Because u will forget them if you only do visualization, affirmations, meditations etc. Because maybe you've read online that lots of people regret working too much and you have problems with workaholism. Then this thought helps you. But maybe few months after workaholism comes back. (Maybe this example was bad because you actually have to question yourself more deeply why do are you actually workaholic) What do you think?
  5. Where the politics, economy is fine. Good quality of life. Foreigners are welcome. I've read online its mostly scandinavian countries. What are your experiences?
  6. Its not just my own personal experience i think most people even if they masturbate to porn once in a really long time feel anxiety or depression. I dont understand the neuroscience behind it. There are teenagers for example who are addicted to the internet but still dont feel negative emotions. Internet, social media is constantly raising the dopamine levels and etc but still if a person feels anxiety or depression its very little. Or there are people who are addicted to going to the gym. It brings a lot of dopamine. Why is it healthy tho? Of course physical exercise has benefits on the brain and on the body but idk. This might seem a stupid question but i think its not straightforward. Like what exactly does porn make to the brain that makes mental health worse?
  7. I have ocd about eating. Its been better but still i eat slowly and i bite little stuff and sometimes i just spend so much time eating it hurts my teeth. Im doing exposure therapy: constantly biting bigger food. What do you think about this? Isnt eating, chewing such a normal thing to do but still i've developed ocd. Im taking antidepressant now, it hasnt helped tho.
  8. @Raze thx @Yimpa yes im practicing. Its already better. Its weird because there is always a chance that i might choke but i have to keep doing exposure therapy.
  9. Maybe you are older now and have problems with your health What would you do differently?
  10. Im diagnosed with depression. Im on fluoxetine 10mg. I feel fine and good, proud of myself but still i have a feeling theres a better antidepressant for me. I should have a better mood. I sleep a lot, especially in the weekends, i lay in my bed couple of times a day to just lay or whatever, sleep an hour. When its school i have better mood. I sort of have something to do, a duty. Now i will be at home for a whole month and its hard to be. Im an introvert but as a depressed person its bad to be at home this much. Most of the times when i wake up around 6am i watch youtube and other social medias. I get joy from doing these things. After that maybe i take a nap I have a high protein diet, i go to gym right after it opens it makes me feel good, i meditate. I eat lots of fruits, veggies. Off of added sugar for 8months kinda. . I dont have no physical conditions, my bloodwork good. Ive had been waiting for so long for the next month. I will turn 18 and be able to try other antidepressants. I will study for my final exams and programming too. That will keep me busy. What do you think?
  11. @Basman yeah but internet doesnt cause much negative feelings. Why? Why exercise isnt addictive? Why it doesnt make us depressed when we dont do it? As someone who is bodybuilding f.e. There are lots of research on the negative effects on porn and masturbation. Millions of people try nofap and these stuff. Its clear that its not good for mental health. Its not about religion its about simply the brain itself
  12. Its weird that people who have depression ask these questions but people who are fine, happy dont. Why arent happy people doing philosophy?
  13. Idk i dont have much of information i can share. I move more towards to research. But im thinking maybe i should live a less conscious/ intellectual life Its hard to think about it, my mind contemplates slowly right now
  14. I wasnt actually in an accident but my brain tells me that maybe it could have happened. I have anxiety when using my bycicle. When im on the streets a lot of time i spend quite a few seconds looking around and again and again... Im going to psychologist he will help me. But i have anxiety of walking on the stairs or sometimes eating food. Or sometimes im opening a door i close my eyes to not hit my eye What do you think?
  15. We crave women, sex all the time. But after we get it there are feelings of anxiety and depression. Is it just simple neurology? This is how our brain and dopamine works? So should we use sex just for making children? This is a simple question but I masturbate really rarely but its always the same cycle. Its a craving and after its done the mood drops a lot.
  16. @ted73104 thank you but what do you mean these things wont kill me? @manuel bon love to you and your family as well. This is a weird topic for me because i think there isnt much resources for how to deal with this or how to think about this. @Yimpa its true but i think it wont bring help for a lower conscious human. Its like an enlightened person saying something to an average human
  17. For example theres a 16 year old stage orange guy. He has friends, he plays in a football team, plays video games, has a girlfriend, watches tiktok, doesnt study, watches porn. He feels happy in life. Maybe some of us would say he could do this and this. For example teens who watch Hamza Ahmed would say dont watch porn, no tiktok, get high quality friends, make a business etc. But is the 16year old guy good? His consciousness is evolving, embodying a level. Thats what matters? If you feel happy that says ur on right track no? If your suffering then go back or go on to the next level? Im not saying big moves like from orange to green but like 1 step f.e. try medktatjon or do this or that
  18. @An young being idk its weird. Its like the question of giving sugar to a kid. Its not good for his health but psychologically he is improving. What do you think? Sometimes i thought to myself why dont spiritual or enlightened people teach more and so on but after all im like the world is fine. This is how people work Same with spirituality. How does not everybody does it? Or have even a single clue it exist? This is just how people work
  19. @Husseinisdoingfine yes ive read the post but you can still go to a party anywhere else. So whats the actual thing that keeps you from going to partys?
  20. What stops you from not dating now and going to parties? Can you do a masters degree in an other college? Can you find a peer to go to the parties with? Are you scared of rejection when dating or making new friends?
  21. You dont have to take it forever. Usually its a few years than you slowly taking it off. Its like if you have any other illness medication will help you. Antidepressants are not that deep just constantly talk with your psychiatrist and if you have any side effects then tell him. Just keep on doing therapy and self-help. Its the little nuggets and aha-moments that will make you feel better
  22. There are so many traps here. This work is meant to be done for years and years. Philosophy and spirituality is bad for average people. Its just makes you question a lot of things, and if you dont have a disciplined mind then you are f*cked. The more i watch Leo the more i realize how stupid i am and how easy it is to deceive myself. I dont know nothing. Im 17, i should be doing material things, do "stupid" things and fix my material life. I shouldnt do philosophy. In the way i do it its not healthy and its just masturbation. I think spirituality, philosophy should be done after 40, but i may be wrong. What is your opinion?
  23. I think self-help, doing psychology and philosophy is making me depressed sometimes. Everyday there are new videos of self-help youtubers. I mean whats the new idea? F.e. Infinite waters always releases new videos almost everyday. Other youtubers say you gotta do this and that to be happy. Read more books etc. I think most people should just eat healthy, sleep well, work, enjoy life, read books sometimes, be grateful. I have a journal, there are lots of ideas there. I read couple ones but what ive realized is that sometimes i should just go watch youtube or watch sport or go bycicle. A mind cant even memorize a lot of thoughts, u should just understand them and generally ur life will improve just a little. What do you think?
  24. I dont understand it. Can i talk with somebody in private?
  25. How can i adress this problem above?
