Here in India there are literally people who "worship " Osho . I'm not exaggerating. That tells who that man was .

Well, that sort of goes against Osho's teachings. He specifically taught his version of the Zen parable "When you meet the Buddha on the road, kill him", just in his own words.

But he also predicted exactly this phenomenon.

He taught that a Christ, a Buddha, is only worshipped after they die. When they are alive, the society tries to crucify these people. It is only after they die do people begin erecting temples and bowing to their portraits.

He is a threat to democracy. If you don't care for democracy then vote Trump

To be fair, I don't like either option. Biden has done some decent things, most notably banning non-compete agreements. But his advanced age and bizarre slow movements continue to bother me. I'm probably going to abstain from voting, or vote third party.

But the most popular stuff is never the best.

    I 100% agree with you.

His popular stuff which appeals to normies reminds me of the sort of Eckhart Tolle and Oprah Winfrey soft spirituality. But he has a lot of really deeper talks, where he even mentions "you are God". My favorite one of his talks is the "take it easy" series.

This book is so good, but its too long. I'm getting a lot of value from it, but I've been mauling through this book for about a year and I'm still only half way through.

This book is so much superior to the Koran, Bible, Torah, etc. And yet, humanity would rather stick to their outdated, primitive, and violent holy books written in the days of competing empires and tribal warlords than get a literary and holy software update and read this book.

  5. Ten years ago today, Elliot Rodger, the spiritual founder of the incel movement, would perpetrate his deadly shooting in the College Town of Isla Vista, California.

His actions would inspire the whole incel movement, for whom to this day, look to him as a guide and inspiration.

  6. I remember a while back, Leo uploaded this blog.

    https://www.actualized.org/insights/why-bernie-sanders-lost

In this blog video, he had rather provocative things to say about McDonald's customers. He said that McDonalds was not in a conspiracy to poison people, but the problem with McDonald's was that the customer base was of a certain level of (low) consciousness, that they would eat at McDonald's in the first place.

Going to University, there is a noticeable youth culture of people indulging in pleasures and fun, which is why this question interests me. The more I experiment around, the more I can feel myself on autopilot levels of awareness, and thinking more like an animal. Looking out at the world in a selfish way, trying to gratify needs more pleasure. I have noticed myself at times getting lost in complacency, and without conscious thought, completely on autopilot, engaging in low consciousness behaviors.

So, do low consciousness activities such as; sex, alcohol, tobacco, fast food, browsing shock websites (gore websites, 4chan, etc...), pornography, watch sports games, binging TikTok, arguing and fighting, hating people, watching trash tv, watching Fox News, watching Trump rallies,  etc... Do these have a negative effect on levels of consciousness, or no effect?

He a while back said that socialization "made people stupid".

    Mostly.

Luxury items are mostly scamming your money to sell you a childish fantasy. Watches, clothes, and cars especially. And the more luxury and pricey they are, the more of a scam it is. It's a mind-scam. These brands fool you into thinking these things are important and valuable when they basically aren't.

    A $20,000 Rolex is a mind-scam.

Nobody needs these items, they don't even have good build quality, and they won't make you happy.

Does this as well apply to Universities, where the top of the line University is supposedly better than your local public research university? I ask this because I'm deeply insecure about the rank and status of my school.

Brands who portray themselves as fancy are selling you bullshit. That's the point of a brand. It's a fantasy.

Really? Is this correct of all fancy and luxurious brands? So brands that are selling luxurious premium top of the line cigars, or lets say, alcohol or clothes, is it all bullshit? What about wristwatches and cars?
