  1. Why? Ask yourself why you are doing what you are doing at whatever moment. For example when you are scrolling through social media is it because you lack something? What do you lack? Why do you think social media is the best way to satisfy that need? Are you escaping the present moment? You become more aware/present while training your contemplation & introspection muscle at the same time.
  2. You could hold a job easily since your sleep need would decrease. Some aspects of your life would definitely be negatively affected though.
  3. The thing is if you do enough concentration work, jhãnas happen even if you don't know what you are doing. If you stay in access concentration long enough 1st jhãna will come whether you try or not. After that it is relatively easy to unlock the next Jhãnas if you practice enough. Have you ever tried counting your breaths for 1.5hrs for a few days in a row?
  4. You should gradually increase the time you spend present. I personally love the STOP method (stop what you are doing, take a deep breath, observe your body and then your surroundings, proceed with whatever you were doing before) You could easily write down how many times you used the method and perphaps write it in a diary. That way you can easily measure your progress, so that you will know you are progressing even if it doesn't feel like it. Same with meditation - write down how long were you meditating today and which states of concentration you experienced or which insights came to you. - I don't know if you have any experience working out, but it is the same as lifting weights - in order to get anywhere you have to track your progress.
  5. At the beginning I experienced the same, now interestingly I have way less dreams, it is weird.
  6. Whether AP is a type of dream or not does not matter that much, since you can view the real world with AP regardless. It definitely feels different than lucid dreaming though, for me atleast..

  10. Kind of, but once the "lower level" dreams become more intense they affect the "higher level" and so on. If you dreamed every night about winning the lottery, chances are you would actually win the lottery.

  13. I am planning to post a thread teaching how to develop (learn) a way to do this kind of thing too. Not only for eye color but other stuff too. Consider this a preview. A reddit user (not me) successfully changed their eye color with subliminals.

  15. Ohh, well in that case do not worry about whether it is a few seconds off, and no, don't count the seconds. Doesn't matter if once in a while you do only 4 seconds or even accidentally do 10 seconds. With time you will probably find a perfect amount of time that will stick with you because of habit.

  17. Yeah, I replied that way not to have to explain my motivations much further, since they are coincidentally aligned with the forum and there are pretty good videos explaining why one would want to do so on Leo's channel.
  18. Pick a goal. I can tell you what tools would help you achieve it faster. Doesn't have to be anything about your body, could be finances, relationships, anything really. Think of it as an experiment. Won't cost anything other than like half an hour a day, or even less.
