  1. First I was like "Hey! That's racist!" but then I went like "Ahhh spiral dynamics".
  2. Maybe you should yell at strangers on the street and telling them it's all their fault while you are ripping all your clothes apart for a while. You could be some kind of droug dealer. On the other hand finding a monestary that's relatively cheap to stay in would probably be a good idea, you've already talked about minimalism I see. Loosing all your money could be the best thing ever!
  3. Meditating without sounds will be more powerful for sure but in theory you can meditate with music, I've done it a few times.
  4. It's one of the most damaging postures to the knees but for some people it works. Most of us arent Japanese so we haven't learned to sit like that since we where fucking 5 so don't worry if it dosn't work for you.
  5. I'm a bit busy and I have been spending a little bit too much time on the web, prom is tomorrow... But maybe in a few days!
  6. Rochester Zen Center in New York. It's one of the oldest Zen centers in the US. It's a combination of Soto and RInzai Zen.
  7. Sometimes I feel like there comes wind between my ears during longer meditation sessions, don't know what it is but better meditate right trough it.
  8. Meditate for houndreds of thousands of hours until your sense of self dissapears. Then there won't be a sense of self left so who the fuck has social anexiety? If that dosn't sound interessting then I would suggest that you watch Leos video called "How You Lie".
  9. Self Inquiry because it has gotten me some enlightenment experiences. But I really like Shikantaza/do nothing because it's so effortless and yet so effective. Reccently I have began doing walking meditation and I really fucking like it aswell. When I walk time my right steps with my breath and I also count my out breath from 1-10. I don't know if anyone is using this technique or if I just invented one because in Zen they use a technique called Kinhin which is a little different. Walking meditation in nature is a completly different thing from walking around mindlessly. Walking slowly helps...
  10. Motivating video that I found a few months ago. I find this really motivating...
  11. Then you should probably feel guilty about learning to accept yourself instead of feeling guilty.
  12. Guys I am welcome to stay at my closest Zen center and I will stay there for at least 10 months!
  13. I have friends like that, not close ones anymore though. I have a little chat with them every now or then and then another one after a month or a few weeks. I don't cut them compleatly unless they would be like permanently negative. but I just made some space for myself, kind of what Leo mentioned in the minimalism video. Because if I hang out with negative people I become it affects me. You will eventually outgrow people and the fear of letting go can be painful I guess...
  14. What if Donald Trump gets elected as a president and later on get an enlightenment experience?
  15. Meditation dosn't make you stupid, meditation makes you realize how stupid you are. I'm not even kidding...
  16. You watch this video and you don't live like that!
  17. Rather not but I meditate anyways when I feel like shit. Shikantaza/do nothing is great for the times you are sleepy etc.
  18. “Happiness is your nature. It is not wrong to desire it. What is wrong is seeking it outside when it is inside.” ― Ramana Maharshi “It is always the false that makes you suffer, the false desires and fears, the false values and ideas, the false relationships between people. Abandon the false and you are free of pain; truth makes happy, truth liberates.” ― Nisargadatta Maharaj “All you want is to be happy. All your desires, whatever they may be, are longing for happiness. Basically, you wish yourself well...desire by itself is not wrong. It is life itself, the urge to grow in knowledge and experience. It is choices you make that are wrong. To imagine that some little thing-food, sex, power, fame-will make you happy is to decieve oneself. Only something as vast and deep as your real self can make you truly and lastingly happy.” ― Nisargadatta Maharaj “You may die a hundred deaths without a break in the mental turmoil. Or, you may keep your body and die only in the mind. The death of the mind is the birth of wisdom.” ― Nisargadatta Maharaj, I Am That: Talks with Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj
  19. I have been experimenting with NoFap for a while and in a nutshell YES IT IS. I just relapsed and this has happend a few times. After my relapses my meditations feels so fucking creamy and dumb and lazy. But during the time I haven't relapsed I have gotten the dicipline to meditatie like 6 hours per day (I really don't have a life hehe). The monks and yogies really knows what they are doing. Celibacy really fucking works, try abstaining for about 2 weeks and meditate a lot then go back to normal and see it yourself. Of course you don't have to stop masturbaiting and feeling guilty about it dosn't help either.
  20. I would still just wanna meditate even if it didn't give me Truth. It makes me happy!
  21. I had been depressed tried to kill myself. Was fat, smoked played video games, drinked a lot. Things started to get better, I started to exersice and ate better. Then I started meditating... I remember that I actually took a vow before starting to meditate and it went like this: "If meditation dosn't work I'm really going to kill myself". P.S. I didn't kill myself
