This is probably one of if not Leo's best video yet, going over how Self Love is the root solution to the majority if not all problems we as humans face n an individual and collective level. He is not saying it in some kind of hippie way that then means you no longer become practical about your problems and find the solutions to them. No, instead he is saying first realize the issue is caused in most cases by a lack of self love at the deepest level no matter the issue, and when you expand your sense of self and deepen your love it will help you understand and solve these problems. However, he isn't saying don't go and get into the practical side of things and take the action you require. Let's take diet and health as an example, expanding your sense of love would mean you want to treat your body with the utmost respect and by doing that you would realize to love your body and meet it's nutritional needs. Of course just saying I love my body and continuing to eat McDonalds 3 times a day isn't going to cut it, instead what he is saying is to expand this love, realize what you need to do to go and fix the problem and then go and fucking do it! This might mean going to read a whole bunch of nutrition books, learning to build a healthier relationship to food, starting a new exercise routine etc etc, but what it stems from is increasing your love and expanding your sense of self to heal the root issue and then on a more 'surface' level doing what is practical and taking the required action. This is a very deep topic so I thought showing how it is actually practical to everyday life and of course on a collective level would help show how awakening and enlightenment can actually be used to facilitate change in others areas of life in positive ways, and also show that just because you awaken does not instantly mean your life will be perfect in all areas, a great video of Leo's to understand this is this one. This video goes into detail how each sub field can have specific techniques and teachings that help you with whatever issues you face, for example there is different strategies for overcoming OCD compared to depression etc, but at their roots increasing Self-Love will deal with the systemic causes and then the surface level techniques and teachings will help you fully overcome the issues. I hope I made sense but I just thought it was a good idea to clear this up and stop people being half-hearted with the whole Self-Love, and to prevent spiritual bypassing which happens a lot of the time in this sort of work. In summary, increasing Self-Love will help with the root and systemic issues you face in your life and then studying your own unique situation and doing what needs to be done on a practical level whatever that may be while increasing Self-Love will then help you improve your life 10000 fold. Also, we could get a discussion going down below on how Self-Love can practically help you in your own life, and on collective levels as well as what practical steps you need to take to overcome these issues and what practical steps collectively we need to take to overcome these issues that will be a result of increased Self-Love. Thanks for an amazing video Leo, your work is deepening every week and it's great to see!

@TDW1995 Don't feel like listening to music and enjoying yourself is a waste of time man. This is it, this moment is it. Once you get it, you drop all the teachings and practices and go live your life! However if you're currently in the seeking stage and feel like you need effort, I'd recommend before driving calm your mind with deep breaths and getting to a space of natural awareness, allow this awareness to come forward. Then drive and stay in this natural state of pure awareness, it's ALWAYS there as it's what you are, the more you notice it the more it will come forward and become your natural way of being. Then you'll realize how amazing life is -

@Surfingthewave Very good point, people on here neglect the importance of foundational PD work due to Leo's recent videos being so deep. Health, Fitness, Emotional Issues, Career, Relationships etc all need to be focused on as well as pure enlightenment work. -
LfcCharlie4 replied to Raptorsin7's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Try this 2 step self inquiry method. Who is the one experiencing this...? (Add in an emotion if you have a particular one you feel at that time) Rest and notice the gap. Where is this coming from? Rest again and notice where it arises from. If it is the I-thought it arises from the Heart or from awareness, then rest in the source of everything, which is the absolute. Ramana developed self inquiry as people weren't ready for his silent teachings, the 'goal' is to get you to the ocean of silence and to rest there. -
LfcCharlie4 replied to jim123's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
He's talking from an absolute persective as the Self does not judge and allows all, as the Self is literally everything therefore, accepts everything. However, if you open your heart and deepen your love you will not be able to harm others, or will at least minimize this harm. You will become more emotional than ever, for example I teared up at a movie in the UK based on 0 Hour Contracts and how employers are exploiting workers and ruining families and people's lives, you begin to see the injustices in the world more. When you love that deeply, you will merely want to serve and help people, not go out and kill. However, this is a deep facet of awakening, and most may not even talk about love. Charles Manson was considered enlightened by many (Very early stages of no self etc) and look how he acted... Early stage awakened beings can still wreak havoc, however, those who have attained truly deep awakenings are HIGHLY unlikely to act in such ways due to the depth of love they have awakened to, and when you realize EVERYTHING is the Self as are you, you are merely harming yourself, who wants to do that? -
LfcCharlie4 replied to Harikrishnan's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Harikrishnan why are you comparing the hallucinations of a drug to reality? I really don't understand why you want to see fractals so bad, how would you be able to function and drive or cross a road or play sport if you constantly saw fractals, is it because you want to see fractals? To me that sounds like you want a distraction from doing the work. Reality is here and now, and this is it, this moment is everything you've been looking for. @Lento This made me crease -
LfcCharlie4 replied to electroBeam's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@electroBeam When you become fully self realized and 'finished' so to speak do you know what you do? You drop all of this (unless your teaching) you have no need to talk about it or think about it anymore. These teachings are like medicine and once you're well again you don't keep popping the pills. So, what you do is you go and live the life you desire and do whatever the fuck you wanna do, wanna play golf? Wanna build a business? start a family etc, you live an ordinary life but it won't be ordinary because the ordinary has become the extraordinary. However, the 'Human' work never ends, work on your Enneagram type, your health and fitness, if you have a business and career etc until the day you die, but in terms of thhis work, once you're finished you go live life how you want. We are here to be happy and enjoy ourselves- no need to ask why, just go enjoy life without resistance and from the Self! It's amazing believe me! -
LfcCharlie4 replied to LfcCharlie4's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Leo Gura yeah and I got that from your video as you was referencing such a deep teaching, I just worry those newer will neglect the fundamentals of PD as I see occasionally on here, when in reality Self-Love amongst your other deepest teachings can be incredibly practical. -
LfcCharlie4 replied to Harikrishnan's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Harikrishnan No of course not, because that isn't everyday reality lol. This is kinda the issue with psyches you can get caught up in states and bliss instead of realizing this is it, this very moment is it. -
LfcCharlie4 replied to Alex bliss's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
this is the biggest misconception in spirituality. DESIRE IS LIFE. If anything the problem you're having is your desire is too small, desire as big as you possibly can, desire as big as your thoughts will let you and don't settle for less. Blocking desire= Resistance = blocking your now experience. You are a human, therefore, you will have desires, awakening will transform these desires and make them bigger than ever, the desire to realize the self, the desire to help people, the desire to become the best you you can be etc. I see you like Nisgardatta 'All you want is to be happy. All your desires, whatever they may be, are longing for happiness. Basically, you wish yourself well...desire by itself is not wrong. It is life itself, the urge to grow in knowledge and experience. It is choices you make that are wrong. To imagine that some little thing-food, sex, power, fame-will make you happy is to decieve oneself. Only something as vast and deep as your real self can make you truly and lastingly happy.' (Not to say you can't enjoy money, sex etc, Nisgardatta smoked Cigarettes and fucked Prostitutes remember and before that had a wife and a family, his teaching is saying BE HUMAN!) You also have to remember these eastern teachings are often the path of renunciation and pain, us westerners aren't always suited to that, we are suited much more to the tantric path with Tantra meaning LIFE. Allow your spirituality to become tantric and INCLUSIVE, you can have sex, you can do things you enjoy, you can eat food you like etc etc, you also have to remember eastern teachings are translations and words can't always be perfectly translated especially those where the differences in meaning are very subtle i.e. Desire and Craving. This can be one of the biggest issues when utilizing eastern teachings without context, we are Westerners with busy lives, Ramana Maharshi lived in a diaper on a mountain, his teachings are absolutely incredible but always remember context, if you want to be a monk that's fine, but if you want to live in modern society you will have many desires, emotions etc you will still be a human after awakening, but you will live from The Self, it's a huge paradox and hard to put into words lol. -
@Nickyy Explain to me what you've seen, depends how you approach it like anything, of course a lot of it out there is shitty, but you can take the teachings and use them in service of good. For example a business I've recently started is building a Romance brand, you might say how is that helping anyone? Well we are publishing high quality romance novels that will help entertain our readers and give them enjoyment, entertainment and pleasure. That's just one minor example of how these can have a positive impact on people's life, you don't have to be working in spirituality/ non-duality to help people. I'm also building a brand of books around Plant Based Eating and Cookbooks and how people can improve their nutrition and eating habits, can you explain how that is exploiting people? I could go on and on, but I would argue I've developed my business with it's focus on Stage Green as the main focus is always will this product help people, not will this product maximize profits and maybe it will help people. Use the teachings and think for yourself and then you can make 99% of businesses conscious, of course with some you just can't.
-
@Nickyy Okay, I wasn't talking about SD stages here, what I mean is making out it's impossible to create wealth consciously which isn't the case at all. Yes, the current system is complete shit but you can still build wealth in a conscious way through helping people, I am not talking about SD stage Orange companies whatsoever, you can become a millionaire and financially free in a conscious manner, the difference between a millionaire and billionaire is astronomical. If you think wealth is stage orange, that could actually block your potential to build wealth and earn money.
-
@Nickyy Are you joking, why is everyone so negative about creating wealth here?
-
@DrewNows Yeah 99% of people take life way too serious, I really used to. Life is a play and meant to be enjoyed!

@Leo Gura Hi Leo, absolutely love the work you're doing and you've helped me so much on my journey, and also introduced me to the book 1000 which has helped me so much! However, I feel your view on sports is quite unfair. I get that stage orange has certainly corrupted most sports, as it has most areas of life, but to me that doesn't mean sports should be disregarded as a worthwhile pursuit. Aside from the obvious physical benefits and of course nutrition to optimize performance I see Sports as a very viable Life Purpose for those who are talented enough to make it at the top level. To me, true sport is an art form, examples such as a great team goal in football, the perfect 3 pointer in Basketball etc, the creation of an amazing team and developing personal ability surely is no different than developing your skills as an artist in another domain? Furthermore, you also have 'The Zone' which is many people's only way of getting close to the spiritual dimension of life when they are fully present and all they can focus on is the game at hand, Sadhguru has an article on this saying how Sport can bring you closer to the divine than prayer as you are forced to be involved in life. Therefore, if someone has a love for sport and wants to pursue this as a career followed by a coaching career or something similar and they don't fall prey to the corruption and egotistical issues in many sports, and do it for the love of their sport and wanting to reach the best of their ability, while doing it all in a loving way and providing entertainment (just like Musicians do for example) why is it not a worthwhile pursuit? I completely understand the corruption surrounding sport these days, but it isn't the sport itself that is corrupt but the owners, leagues etc who are driven by stage orange values, once sports grow with Society to green and beyond I think we will see the true magnificence of sports flourish. (Hope to see Sport in our society following Conscious Politics in 100 years;)) I was also wondering if anyone else here has pursued a career in Sports and if so what is your career, or if anyone came close to becoming a professional athlete. Or if anyone agrees/ disagrees that sport is a worthwhile pursuit and why thanks, guys.

@DrewNows That's based on belief that last sentence. Try looking at it like this- it is 22 people playing a game, having fun, enjoying themselves and doing all they can to win the game, but the true joy comes from the playing of the game, which is what makes it beautiful. This paragraph from sadhguru says it better than I ever could even attempt to lol; 'You know, Swami Vivekananda said, “You will be nearer to Heaven through football than through the study of the Gita.” When you pray, you can do and think so many other things. But when you kick a ball, you only kick a ball. Otherwise, it will not go where you want it to go. Playing a game gives you the understanding that without absolute involvement, you cannot be successful. You have to play as if your life depends on it. They say 3.2 billion people watched the final of the last football World Cup. This is almost half the world, and the entire adult world. These 3.2 billion people were watching eleven people who were trying to kick the ball in one direction and another eleven people who were trying to kick it in another direction. Of course, you could ask the philosophical question, “What’s the point?” Essentially, we do not watch because of the ball, not even because of the skills, but because someone is kicking the ball as if his life depends on it. It is the intensity of involvement that makes the whole world sit up and watch.' In terms of the ultra competitiveness; 'This is a fundamental principle that everyone should know, in any sphere of life. You can only be successful if you want to win. But if you lose, it should be alright with you.' play for the fun of it, with full involvement and you will be amazed at how amazing Sport can be.

@Aeris Yeah build your own online businesses, invest your profits well in other endeavours/ build up your investment portfolio. Money doesn't = happiness, but it sure helps with many areas of life!
-
@Consept Yeah my purpose probably isn't in sports, I was more defending sports, as I believe you should do what you love but it's VERYYY easy to get caught up in the high life so to speak, so I see your points. But at it's fundamental level, sports is something done because people love it, and that in itself is 'spiritual' and my point was if someone loves it they should certainly pursue it. Feel sorry for you this season, I still get heavily involved emotionally when watching Liverpool games, but since my awakenings it all flows through me much quicker, I don't hold onto the feelings, but that's the case for everything these days, I'll always be heavily involved watching sport, it's who I am and that won't change ever, but I'm not going to go start a fight because we lose like some people do haha, you can make sport 'more conscious' like you can anything. As you said, life is to be enjoyed and if people enjoy sport they shouldn't resist this, but instead make it a part of their practice and use their development to improve their sport. I play cricket and recently have decided to finally learn to properly Bat (I'm a bowler) and honestly I've never felt so in the zone, the complete focus is on the now and as a result if anything awakening will only help your athletic abilities 1000 fold, of course you'll still have your physical limitations. At the end of the day, sport could be used for amazing things and it can help people grow as people when utilized properly, as anything can, therefore, I certainly see it as an amazing LP when done properly and in the service of truth, as most things can be. @Raptorsin7 I agree, and like you said the same can be said for Video Games, again if that's your passion don't resist just because you're now spiritual, go enjoy your life and if that's your path go do it, you can definitely do 99% of careers in a way that is in service to true and your understandings. Of course, combine this with healthy eating, working out etc, but there's no reason you can't enjoy these things just because you're spiritual. In my opinion we are here to HAVE FUN and ENJOY LIFE, awakening makes that 10000x easier as the resistance to the now drops and life becomes an effortless, spontaneous play and it's truly amazing.

@Aggelos Doulgerakis Basically what he said is spot on. 2 things that helped me most were a HIGH dosage supplement of B12 and D3 daily, especially D3 in winter!
-
@TRUTHWITHCAPITALT Yes I'm not debating that, however I must admit I do feel that while they give incredible insights many struggle to embody and integrate on their own, many may not even be ready for that level of insight, so one must tread carefully. Personally, I believe working with a teacher 1-1 combined with a transmission is the most effective, as not only are you getting facetime with an awakened being but you get YOUR questions answered about YOUR process, we are all unique and everyone has their own awakening process so that alone can be ridiculously helpful. I am not as experienced with psychedelics so who knows, all I know is in 9 months I feel like a different person altogether and know more about my personality than I ever did before as well.

@Fede83 Sorry, really confused what you mean?

LfcCharlie4 replied to Bridge to Infinity's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
The Self encapsulates everything, you are the Self on an absolute level, everything in the world is the Self, in fact the world doesn't exist only the Self does, but you might not be ready tp here that yet, I wasn't for a long time and it doesn't mean you can't function like a normal Human. Just rest and breathe, this is it, everything you've been searching for is right here. -
LfcCharlie4 replied to Matt23's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@WelcometoReality This is so true. When fully embraced and full self realization is reached the teachings are dropped as you live in Sahaja the natural state and then you get to go live your life as the Tenth Zen picture shows. Treating this as a little hobby won't get you there though like you said, fully embracing these teachings and whatever you are doing will hopefully and then you drop it all and rest in the absolute. It's amazing. -
@28 cm unbuffed Defo for creativity, many mainstream guys who aren't into Non-Duality talk about this, even Ben Greenfield the guy obsessed with Bio-Hacking and nutrition uses it. Progress with women I'd recommend John Anthony Lifestyle, although he's VERY stage Orange and quite immoral, so try and use his teachings in a way that helps you develop yourself and your skills without the unethical side of things lol.

LfcCharlie4 replied to NormanN's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Raptorsin7 Eckhart is great, he was the original reason I got into this with PON, he's incredible at what he does! Yes I understand what you mean. And you are integrating the awakenings such as the realization you are awareness and have no boundaries, then the realization you are everything and I mean everything, then integrating the divine love (This led to me loving my teachers so much lol), then integrating the final realzation that the self is all, and the world is merely the self, the final one involves literally throwing away EVERYTHING into the absolute, of course some of it will come back! My experience has raidcally changed in 9 months from one of overthinking this and getting depressed about it, to basking in the beauty of the now. However, this doesn't mean old habits die straight away, I still escape into thoughts and used to struggle to fully feel my emotions, but that is all part of integration and that takes a lot longer than awakening. IF what you're doing is working that's great, Eckhart is great to getting people introduced to this and into the first stage of awakening (where he's at) but if you want to go further, message me and I can recommend some teachers and practices
