I've been studiously working on myself for a long while now, using various techniques: introspection, therapy (both talking and EMDR), bodywork modalities like Jin Shin Jyutsu, occasional psychedelic use, etc. Significant progress has been made in my daily life, and I have uncovered and investigated a lot of the shit that got me to the dire place I found myself in some time ago. However, I'm still largely unsatisfied as, in spite of having pieced together the mind-bending puzzle of extensive childhood and adulthood trauma, I still have deep emotions and baggage that seems to shift very slowly. I often find myself wanting, or needing to cry, but I can only muster a welling-up, and perhaps a couple of solitary tears. I am also often angry. Anyway, my hope is to be able to use psychedelics to access some of these deep-rooted emotions compassionately, then feel them, release them, and move on. I'd like to ask you for any advice, suggestions, or cautions you have for this undertaking, only if you have some experience in this area. Speculations aren't wanted - I can speculate myself about how it could turn ugly and so on. Conversely, do you think I have it backwards? Is the 'accessing of trauma and purging it' all an ego game, and should I be seeking mystical experiences instead, which will in turn melt away any trauma or emotional baggage? TIA.

I think you did the right thing, like the man @Roy says. But bear in mind for the future that women generally have an unspoken keep-this-between-us rule. Of course they break it all the time but usually without the subject of the talk finding out. So they're pissed off that you broke this tacit rule and now they look like bitches. I just caution you to bear it in mind next time to save you unnecessary headache. Maybe there's another approach to take. But yeah, if it was something your cousin deserved to know then he needed to be told.

It is all relative. If some monster took you, me and your friend hostage, Saw-style, and said you need to kill either me or your friend and then you and whoever you save can leave, are you evil for killing me? Ordinarily we'd say yes but within this context you had no choice and you also saved a life. So does that make you unfathomably good because you saved a life and did the unthinkable to do so? Maybe. You could have killed yourself instead, I suppose. Then we could say that means you're good because you didn't impose death on anybody else. But actually you did, because this Jigsaw guy is gonna kill both me and your friend now because you didn't play the game. So you're even more evil for killing yourself instead of one of us! And so on and so on. We can look at it from all these different perspectives and they are all partial and all relative.

Justice is justice. It doesn't matter if you play a part in getting justice for a victim who then turns out to be a crook themselves, justice must be served nonetheless. You could also flip it and think of it not as getting justice for the victim but as bringing the perpetrator to justice. This way the victim is secondary and justice, for the sake of justice, is primary.

I recently shared Debunking The Myth Of Science - Part 1 with a friend. His response was 'Yeah I'm not watching that lol'. And I have to admit, I did challenge him on his reflexive dismissal, probably a little too much in retrospect. But I don't just go around sharing videos with everybody. I'm struggling to see the actual problem. So you don't want a relationship and the responsibility? Or you do want one but you don't trust people outside of your family? You don't have to have children if you don't want to, just take the necessary steps to eschew conception. Have you ever been in a romantic relationship?

These are not incredible results. You could get 2 phone numbers a day doing real life approaches. Or 3. Or 4. And so on.

1) You validated her feelings about herself which is that she's a weirdo. And invalidated her at the same time so her dysfunction sought your approval. 2) Yeah, total dysfunction. She thinks this behaviour will get her a reward or validation. Must've worked for her in the past, she clearly has some trauma going on. 3) Again, seeking your validation, or purposely trying to trigger you to get you to treat her like a weirdo which will further affirm her belief that she herself is a weirdo - which she's obviously been indoctrinated with. I wouldn't be surprised if her parents are super religious. Poor girl. Edit: OR, she just doesn't like you and was fucking with you.
