  1. No. Just send them to Jordan Peterson.
  2. Height is not a valid excuse. This guy is barely 5 feet tall, but he owns the fact that he is short and that makes him self-confident. Be like that guy. You have to own who you are. You are not the tallest guy in the country, but don't let the height affect your esteem. Own your height, joke about it, and get over it. Only insecure girls prefer taller guys because they think taller guys can offer them more physical security and protection. Find girls that are secure in themselves and are not affected by your height. I have dated girls that were taller than me, so there are out there.
  3. Because it feels good to have your love returned to you by someone that you perceive more perfect than yourself. Their perfection is perceived by you, but the more you get to know that person, the more it changes your perception about their perfection. After a while, you learn that that person is just as flawed as you are. If you fell in love with their perceived perfection, when your perfection fades and your perception changes, your love is also gone. If you truly love a person, you will have to love them because of their flows, not their perceived perfection. Humans are and will be forever flowed. Only God is and will be forever perfect. Humans always fall out of love because at their core they always seek the infinite love that only God can give. Only God can give perfect love. Welcome to the forum.
  4. @Leo Gura You can reach out to interview Eric Weinstein. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Weinstein Eric has a PhD from Harvard in mathematics and he is the loudest scientist that is in opposition to the way Science is currently done. Based on his profile, I think he is the most likely high profile scientist that can accept your proposal for an interview. Here is his interview with Roger Penrose as a reference to his depth of knowledge.
  5. Dr. John Vervaeke is a more conscious version of Jordan Peterson. If you enjoyed the introduction, you should continue with the next videos in the series.
  6. Who do you think creates the laws of nature?
  7. Corporation means Pyramid. Pyramid implies Inequality. Inequality delivers corruption.
  8. You need money to feel secure. Realize that money doesn't offer security and the fear will disappear.
  9. Your ego has a developed sense of morality. When your sense of morality is stretched to some extreme, it has to act/judge. There is nothing wrong with this. Depending on the environment you are in, this is a healthy ego development. You must draw boundaries if you live with other egos, otherwise, you risk having an "ego death". Your current problem is not that you are judging others, but that you are judging yourself for judging others. Don't judge others, but more importantly, don't judge yourself. Let it go.
  10. The things you can't accept about yourself, you disown them. When you disown them, you forsake them to live in your shadow. Try to work on the things that you can't accept about yourself. Try to accept who you are. All the things you have buried in your shadow, bring them to the light of your awareness. Only when you realize that there is nothing but Light, your shadow will disappear.
  11. You can easily imprint concepts on a younger brain. Therefore is easier to learn languages when one is younger. A language is a pointer to concepts. Some languages are more expressive than other languages. Some languages have concepts that can approximate feelings better, while other languages are better at approximating metaphysical concepts for example. Language is also a cultural construct. Eskimos have around 50 words for "snow" because snow is prevalent in their environment. Language is shaped by the environment, principles, values of a culture to allow people to better approximate the things they want to say.
  12. There is one predominant language in which we think. If you are learning a new language, there is a period of transition in which words from the "old" language have to be translated to the "new" language in your mind. But after a while, there is a switch and we continuously think in the language that we predominantly use.
  13. Confidence arises out of the belief that we possess the skills to "manipulate" reality in some way. When that belief is manifested in reality, it becomes confidence. You wanted to have a great job and you got it. This made you confident. You wanted status and you got it. This made you even more confident. But when the job and status are gone, the confidence is also gone. I will give you another example. Look at Donald Trump. The guy wanted to be rich, and become a billionaire. He wanted to be around beautiful women and hosted his own beauty pageants. He wanted to become famous on TV, and he became famous. He wanted to become president and he did it. How much confidence do you think Donald Trump has? Everything that he ever wanted, he got. Trump believes that he has all the necessary skills to manipulate reality and that is the root of his confidence. But if you investigate even deeper, you will notice that the root of confidence is a con that reality plays on us. If you want to get your confidence back, set small goals for yourself, and achieve your goals. If you set daily goals and you achieve them for a whole year, you will be the most confident men in your country.
  14. So you want to have your cake and eat it too? That is possible, but only if there is no cake. Jokes aside. Comfort is the opposite of change. If you are building your whole life seeking comfort and you have created comfort for yourself, why would you want to dispense with your comfort? The more comfortable you become, the more resistant you will be to change. Become comfortable with change and then you have both.
  15. Everything will be ok only when you accept that even if things are not ok, they are OK.
  16. I hate to get rid of beautiful women, but I believe @cheivee8ai doesn't belong here. Mods?
  17. Try connecting with people that share similar passions as you. If your passion is software development, join a meetup group and talk with people about the project they have built. If you don't have passions, find your passion. Trying new things is the best way to learn what you like.
  18. The rich never pay taxes. If you make a lot of money, you pay accountants so that your effective tax rate is below 10%. If you are billionaire Trump, you pay about $750 per year in taxes. In a democratic system, you must promise to take from the few and give to the many. There are a few billionaires and many poor. Biden is only promising this because he wants to gain the vote of the many poor who believe that they can gain the money from the rich through taxation.
  19. I've read all nine books of his books in chronological order in which they were published. My top three would be: Power vs Force I: Reality and Subjectivity Transcending the Levels of Consciousness: The Stairway to Enlightenment. You are correct that some of the material overlaps. However, sometimes you find a sentence in one of his books that makes it worth reading. The problem is that you don't know which sentence it is and in which book, so you should read all of them.
  20. Contemplation dissolves assumptions. You must have assumptions, otherwise, there is nothing to contemplate or dissolve. You assume the answer is "Love". What if it isn't? What is Love is not what you think is? Something to contemplate.
  21. If you want to understand the nature of light(photons), try to understand the following experiment:
  22. Keep in mind that any critique which does not offer an alternative is not a good critique. If you are throwing science out of the window, you should also propose something that in the future can replace science or evolve it to the next level. If science is gone, something should fill the vacuum. Otherwise, we regress back to subjective mythological stories of the past.
  23. 1) Is Science invented or discovered? If it is invented, for what purpose does the Inventor, invent it? Is it just to create a framework in which multiple minds can agree on a common understanding or reality? If it is discovered, then why did the Inventor hid it from us so that we have to discover it again? (I know that from the biggest perspective, the distinction between invented and discovered collapses, but try to elaborate from a dual perspective) 2) Can Metaphysics as a branch of Science ever disprove Science? If science one-day collapses, what would cause the collapse? To disprove science to scientists, we must offer them proof. Where do you foresee this proof coming from? Metaphysics or something else? (Keep in mind that when metaphysics disproves science, it is actually disproving itself) 3) The end of science is also the end of Objectivism. If Objectivity is gone how does One create objectivity in a completely subjective world? Science has created standards in material reality that we all abide by. A meter in Europe is also one meter in Australia. If there is no objective definition of what a meter is, how would I order my 1-meter tall Kangaroo without getting a 4-meter one? 4) How can we use the limits of Science to show Scientists that to go beyond the limits of Science they must use something other than Science? When Science has progressed us into an advanced civilization, Scientists don't want to throw away the tool that allowed for the progress. Something else must promise bigger progress in order to be adopted on a mass scale.
