  1. That is the point, it is a trend going in that direction. If it continues this will cause a major shift in campaigning from both sides. I didn't say millennials are going to turn republican, I said there was some minor indication gen z might be more conservative than millennials. What you aren't understanding is that the age change happens slowly over a long period of time, not instantly. Republicans could for example win the next four elections in-spite of this by simply making more ground with the remaining older population than the democratic advantage of the younger population replacing them. You're also not considering that what matters are key swing states, which can change for far more reasons, by your logic Florida would be solid blue right now, yet it's becoming red. Also, there is another even slower demographic trend of birthrates, people in dense cities (which are democratic mostly) have less children than people in rural areas. And for this reason among others, Republicans have more children than Democrats, and though this may be changing, generally children have a higher chance of voting for the same party their parents did than changing. So far Texas has been leaning blue because of a large and growing Latino population, that trend may not continue if the trend of Latino's going towards Republicans continues.
  2. No, more white males voted for Trump, just not as much in 2020 as in 2016. Joe Biden was leading with Boomers, it is Generation X, the generation after Boomers who is consistently more republican. The younger generation is more liberal, despite some minor indication gen z might go more conservative, and no telling what is after that. You can't just say 'young people are liberal' and assume republicans are over, the young replacing the new happens slowly over a long period of time, not instantly. Young people do not vote often and the republican boomers and gen x'ers are going to be around for multiple other elections. If republicans continue this trend with minority voters, and expand it, they will be growing their base of support and endangering democrats, because there are many key areas that are only purple or blue because of a large minority population.
  3. IFS (Internal Family Systems Model) is a new form of psychotherapy that involves viewing the human mind as having a 'true self' which due to traumatic events split off into 'false selves' as a defensive maneuver. The goal of the therapy is to relax and integrate the false selves to move with the goals of the true self. https://elemental.medium.com/inside-the-revolutionary-treatment-that-could-change-psychotherapy-forever-8be035d54770 Many people who do IFS report having psychedelic like experiences and making rapid progress compared to traditional therapies. Tim Ferris did a brief live session on his podcast and has said it was similar to his experience with some psychedelic drugs. IFS connection with the spirituality: To access the true self, the easiest way according to IFS is to identify all the protective false selves. Then through multiple therapy sessions for each part, you embody the false self and eventually they step aside. Eventually you go through the exiled parts, and then the inner child parts. As you relax the false selves, eventually you feel emotion and compassion welling up, that is supposed to be the true self coming closer to the surface. Though it hasn't personally happened to me, I have heard reports of people saying that eventually they were watching their 'false selves' all around them and feeling a sense of weightlessness, and that there was a 'self' full of love and emotion that was just out of sight. I'm thinking that they themselves are the true self, basically viewing everything from that perspective. I am thinking if this state is achieved, it could somehow be combined with self inquiry for rapid spiritual progress.

  7. I think Jonathan Haidt does good research on this. Basically he explains that looking at the data a lot of young people are developing some unhealthy attitudes and mentalities that result in things like cancel culture, call-out culture, etc. It is probably merging with stage green because this would have been the first solid green generation.
  8. Here's his opinion on toxic masculinity. I don't think he's stage green, a lot of stage green actually hates him and used to protest his meetings.
  9. When did I say it isn't? That is my whole point, Elliott goes through ideological phases. I'm saying this forum is being far too ideological and quick to put everyone into a category without considering his reasoning and development based on his personal life. I am also putting him into a category, but I'm not just looking at one video and saying he degraded and just stage blue because of toxic masculinity, and that is all there is too it.
  10. WOw the analysis of this thread is weak. You are all way to ideological and quick to put people into categories without considering their underlying psychology individually. If any of you had been following Elliot you'd know he goes through phases. Prior to this Elliot had a feminism phase and said he was trying to become a woman. I believe that he struggled some after getting addicted to marijuana and injuring himself, so his new phase is most likely a backlash too that. Elliott trains a lot of men and young men in America are doing kind of poorly in a lot of areas so Elliott is likely disturbed by some things he's been seeing in his students and probably sees an explanation and an answer in this catholic conservative framework.

  14. Jimmy Dore runs a progressive youtube channel and has called for AOC and the squad of progressive democratic caucus to withhold their vote for Pelosi as speaker unless she forces a floor vote for Medicare for all. He argues that this would force the democrats to admit in advance if they are behind medicare for all, and if it passes the house would require the senate to strike it down during a pandemic. Brianha Joy Gray and Kyle Kulinsky have agreed and are supporting it and got #forcethevote trending on twitter. However AOC responded and basically said she isn't going to do it. In addition supporters of forcing the vote are lashing out at other progressives who are against it. This includes David Sirota, Benjamin Dixon, Ana Kasparian and Cenk Uygur who responded on twitter.
