Democrats have three major demographic advantages when it comes to election. 1) women are more likely to vote democrat, and women are more likely to vote in general 2) college educated people are more likely to vote democrat, and the rate of advanced education historically increases 3) minorities are more likely to vote democrat, and minority populations were increasing Young people are also left leaning, however the youth vote is notoriously unreliable and it will take many cycles until the current youth are the majority of voters, and by then they may have become more conservative. I don’t think realistically they can convince enough people to move for that. Plus republicans could move as well to counter this, there are more republicans in California than any other state, but their votes don’t mean much for federal elections because democrats always outvote them.

The country normally cycles from democrats for 4-8 years, to republicans for 4-12 years, on repeat. If democrats are overseeing a situation that worsens the behavior of republicans, they are partially responsible. Same with republicans towards democrats. In “Coming apart” by Charles Murray he predicted the current state of the Republican Party based on the collapsing white working class. Democrats had multiple admins that oversaw this and didn’t improve it or even worsened it, so their issues trickled into the Republican Party.

I am not saying all thought is rational. Logical and rational people tend to be more in their head, prone to overanalysis, and more rigid. Illogical and irrational people tend to be more flowing, fun, wild etc. There is plenty of evidence neuroticism is genetic for men and women. I don’t see how that is discrediting women.

It isn’t necessarily just explained by social factors, there are also biological explanations for women’s higher neuroticism. Individually neuroticism is believed to generally be stable and genetic. someone in easier life circumstances could be more neurotic than someone in harder circumstances simply because of their genetics. Logic and reason are in the head, emotion is more in the body. For example, hyper logical and rational guys have trouble joking around because jokes are generally illogical. Try doing a bunch of logical math problems or philosophy arguments for hours then suddenly trying to cut loose and socialize, and compare it to trying to cut loose and socialize after laughing and dancing some. The latter is far easier to get in the fun irrational groove of attraction.
