@Striving for more Were you ever punished for sleeping as a child? Or felt like you weren't allow to sleep when you were younger for some reason? Outside of the insomnia I mean.

@Javfly33 Unscripted by MJ DeMarco might be a good place to start. Narrow down what you're looking for though. There's many subtopics to consider in entrepreneurship, things copywriting, building internet funnels, hosting workshops, etc. You're going to need tailored advice.

@GreenWoods This is the kind of content we need on here. I haven't explored much in this area but this was an extremely thorough post. -
Yes, I wrote a post about this earlier. You've got to get real with what you're avoiding. The "I don't care" is your shield. How is pretending not to care keeping you safe? Be specific. What is the worst thing that would happen if you cared?

@soos_mite_ah Being gentle or having compassion for yourself comes from the same place that lets you have compassion for others. You have to understand yourself. Let's use the example that you keep lying in your relationships. If you don't understand why you keep repeating that pattern, it's very easy to criticize yourself and go into self-attack. This is what the ego-mind does. It sets you up for failure and then kicks you when you're down. But if you bring awareness and understanding to that pattern, then self-attack becomes impossible. That might mean realizing that the lying is subconsciously protecting you and getting you love. That it was a habit you picked up as a child when you didn't know any better and were just surviving. Now compassion is possible. So I wouldn't seek so much to be gentle with yourself as I would to understand yourself. One will follow the other.

@Bird Larry Embarrassment usually means we approve of our decision, but we don't believe someone else will. Why do you believe people will offend or make fun of your ambitions?

@Value I'm personally not doing any prepping. Can be a fine line between being practical and acting from the fear-mind.

@legendary I have seen it unfortunately as well. Kyle isn't wrong in his analysis, although he is dismissive of spiritual truths since he is a materialist. I think once you start questioning things it's easy to believe that anything outside the mainstream must be true. And that's obviously not the case. This is the conspiracy theory trap. In reality, the fear-based ego can come up with all sorts of ideas and distort reality in amazing ways. Qanon seems to be one of those ideas. It will die, especially as trump fades from the collective consciousness, but it is insightful how many people have gone for it.

@Someone here Think of Humanity as a single, large organism with its own limiting beliefs and psychology. We could say that the current limiting belief for Humanity is a belief in scarcity. We believe there is not enough. And as such, Humanity is manifesting systems, institutions and situations that reflect this scarcity. But the reality is that the scarcity belief is made up. It's not the deepest spiritual truth. And the scarcity of modern society perfectly reflects. In other words, the scarcity is artificial. It has to be. That's what you're seeing. When you see people who don't have nearly enough food while others overindulge, that means the scarcity is artificial. There's no actual shortage of food. It's beliefs and the systems that have been created AS A RESULT of these beliefs. It's also all self-reinforcing. As our systems are born of a scarcity mindset, they generate situations that confirm our scarcity based beliefs. Which just keeps Humanity stuck in a loop. The good news is that people are recognizing this. New consciousness is being born, and with it new systems and beliefs will take shape.

@Mada_ I would be more flexible in terms of how long or how often you should do The Work. Do it as much as is helpful and you can reasonably finish.

It's a good question, I don't really have an answer for you. It sounds like your job is already covering your financial needs though. Why not then continue to explore your interests and see where it leads?

@GroovyGuru Check your shadow. Do you not want to commit to something out of fear? If so, what might that fear be? I ask because it's a common trap people fall into. If you like to learn, what's wrong with learning skills? Skills will always be necessary, wage slavery or not.

Help me understand. You acknowledged that your profile is weak. So why are you blaming your looks or text game? I mean it might helped if you worked on those things, but for social media your profile is numero uno. Like you cannot succeed if your profile sucks. Likewise, if your profile kills on social, you won't have to do much at all. I've had girls I meet up with who are confused why I'm doing online dating at all once they see me on social. And my social is not even that good, I honestly could be doing much better. So a little bit of effort can go a long way here.

Yes, it's extremely common. I've tried just about every healing modality there is to try, so I can't pinpoint it on one thing. More like just years of meditation, introspection, bodywork, energy work and a whole bunch of other stuff. Take a long view. Don't expect to flip this problem tomorrow. It gets better over time, not usually like flipping a light switch. Just focus on putting in the work everyday.

Yes! Jason Hickel is a great scholar. While large scale change is likely still some time off, don't wait for the changes either. There are already people living pretty close to post-capitalist lives. If you believe in this, you could be a force for moving things in that direction.

Yes, worker coops are likely a big piece of the puzzle. I wouldn't be so sure https://www.onecommunityglobal.org/

@Tim R I'd highly recommend anyone interested in this topic to check out the works of Charles Eisenstein, Michael Linton and Daniel Schmachtenberger. As well as the Ecovillage, ReGen Villages and Transition Town movements. General idea is that we're moving towards more collective ownership and sharing. It will be less about accumulating personal wealth as support is found in community rather than personal accomplishment. As far as government, research something called Sociocracy as well as Holacracy. More consensus, more decentralization. In other words, from Stage Orange to Green. It as already happening all around the world. These ideas may not have cracked the mainstream consciousness but they're certainly not fringe anymore. People are already living this way.

That is no joke. Getting out of those relationships can be one of the hardest things anyone ever does. To me, it sounds like you're still somatically carrying the trauma of the experience. You've consciously moved on, but your body / subconscious has not. Stick with whatever spiritual practice you have. And I'd also recommend seeing a professional healer for an issue like this. Theta healing is my personal favorite, but you can choose whatever you want.

@Rilles I resonate with the multi-potential model. I have a wide range of interests and believe that specialization is partially a product of Stage Orange capitalism. In a more evolved society, people would be more holistic in their approach to life. The shadow to be aware of here though is lack of commitment. I've fallen into this trap, telling myself "I'm just a holistic thinker" while simultaneously avoiding deep levels commitment. For me, commitment can feel like I'm being suffocated or being squeezed into a role I don't want to be in. The result ends up being a lot of half-finished manifestations. Watch for this if you resonate with multi-potential people.

Limiting beliefs are usually subconscious. Because if you were truly conscious of what they were, you'd let them go. So yeah of course you feel like you don't know what they are. That's why you have to study psychology and spend a lot of time introspecting on yourself. Also, your life is always mirroring back to you your limiting beliefs. So start taking a look at all the areas of your life that seem like a mess. It will clue you in on what's going on.

I didn't see it as dangerous. I could still feel pain and I agree with you that pain is good. That's why I talking about separating pain and suffering.

I'd say forget about the ecommerce business then. I'd also consider a part-time job in sales then since you're in college. You'll bring in money (more than your ecomm business is right now) and you'll learn social skills. Also, start with pickup. Find guys who are into it and start going out. Do courses in that as well so you can understand the industry. This will also help your social skills. Doesn't matter if no one watches, you'll build skills just by talking into the camera. This also all sounds good to me. Do it all.

aurum replied to iceprincess's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I like Sadhguru, but as someone trained in both Reiki and Theta Healing, I really have to disagree with him on this. First off, the energy healer is never doing the healing. God is always doing the healing, so to say you are "trying to play God" or "meddling with the energies" is misleading. And yes, you could hurt someone. But so could any doctor. That's why you have training. As far as bad karma / psychic attacks, any practitioner should be aware it's a potential risk. But protection is simple to accomplish and is taught to all practitioners. -
aurum replied to Leo Nordin's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Leo Nordin They're all just pointers, I wouldn't get too hung up on it. Being yourself at the deepest level would mean awakening or enlightenment, since "yourself" is God. -
@Viking History to me becomes more interesting when I can see how it will affect my life. For instance, I'm deeply interested in the history of the United States because it can give us clues to what is happening in our country today. So find the practical benefit. Knowing your history does pay off.
