  1. What is it that knows or realizes there is no you? There's no individual or separately existing you, and yet you still are. Have you ever known your own absence?
  2. These are, imho, among the most powerful pointers to Truth I've come across. (1a) the first vid here, is mostly an introduction, pretext and/or orientation for the more powerful pointers in videos 1b, 2a and 2b. I suggest getting into an, at least, somewhat "meditative state" which means a non-distracted,calm state, where mind/thought waves are not a distraction to the listening (not simply "hearing"), of what is being said. Basically, a calm, relaxed, attentive mind state. Using headphones and closing the eyes, in most cases (especially for the latter parts: 1b, 2a and 2b), will help reduce distractions. Enjoy Note: (1.25 speed is recommended) .
  3. Pt.3a pt.3b
  4. Lol, well of course. The analogy is being used in the context of not looking in a mirror. The assumption was made that most are intelligent enough to get what is being said.
  5. By eliminating (i.e., neti, neti) everything which can be known/perceived as what "I" am not,you eventually arrive at what can't be eliminated and is the source from which perceiving and perceived is made possible. Just as the eye that see's can't turn and see itself,so it is with consciousness. Consciousness is inherently self existing, self knowing. By realizing "I" am that by which I know I exist", is Consciousness "waking up" from it's contracted identification with form (I-concept) and realizing it's original formless,non-contracted,boundless limitless nature. It's dis-identifying and severing the attachment from what is not true. When "what I am not" has been thoroughly seen through, what "I am"/what is/ Truth, stands alone as the One sole reality/existence/consciousness. Dissociation is not an experience of such realization. If it is, then it's not the realization of Truth.
  6. Maybe check out Sadhguru's book on death Pg. 275, begins the discussion on reincarnation. I think there's also a version read aloud by someone on YT.
  7. Trying to love everything will not work and will only cause more misery for yourself. If you dislike something it's better to be honest about it,then look into why it is you dislike it. Likes and dislikes of the "outer" are a reflection of what is "inner" or "personal" within you.
  8. The problem is you hate some aspects and love others,or vice versa, which is classic desire and aversion. When "what is", is seen to be One and/or 'Not Two", distinctions of "hate this" and/or "love that" collapse. It's all the One,and nothing is better nor worse than another. Seeing/perceiving such, is perceiving things as they are,not what or how you would like them to be. Either love everything equally or hate everything equally, to pick and choose "love this" and "hate that"(i.e.,judgements and opinions), keeps the cycle of suffering going ,i.e.,the "wheel of samsara".
  9. Om Swami's good. His books "A Million Little thoughts" and "Kundalini:An Untold Story" are definitely worth the read. Also offers online instruction on Kundalini practice and Meditation. https://os.me/videos-om-swami/ https://os.me/courses/meditation/ https://os.me/courses/kundalini-meditation-course/
  10. He was speaking of the "I Am", the Alpha and Omega i.e., "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty…". @andreasj If you want to look into what I would call "real" Christianity" , and Jesus, look into the writings of the Christian mystics such as Meister Eckhart Nicholas of Cusa St. John of the Cross Gospel of St. Thomas St.Francis of Asisi There are many more, but these are a few of the more famous mystics.
  11. Worth the watch. Reminds me a bit of Jed Mckenna's material, but also a bit "different." Points to the same One Truth. Pt.2
  12. Only a human being can come to the recognition that it's real nature is the Divine. Ignorance of one's real nature is the problem, not being a human. This is why it is said that realizing your true nature is the ultimate goal, because only a human birth can bring about that realization. The only one that has a problem with the dream, is also a dream, until it wakes up and realizes it's not the dream. Then it has no problem with the dream. So it is the removal of ignorance, that is the solution, to a nonexistent "problem" of being a human.
  13. Only when it is experientially realized that neither ego nor soul exist, can there be resonance at the level of Atman. Only Atman resonates at the level of Atman and only by being Atman, which is realized when ignorance is removed, will there be resonance at the level of Atman.
  14. Nothing and everything are concepts. So there's neither nothing nor everything. What is called reality, doesn't experience the concept of nothing or everything, only itself, which is non-conceptual,indefinable. Reality ( God,Brahman,Truth etc.,) alone exists. Nothing, is only the One reality. Everything, is only the One reality. Nothing / Everything is but the One. Also,nothing/everything is conceptual, and therefore do not and cannot, exist apart from the One.So the One, which is existence itself, is both and neither. The only thing that can be said about nothing is that nothing can be said about That.
  15. Yeah, the experience of this "truth bomb" really shook things up for the "self" construct. Like a Mike Tyson left uppercut from out of nowhere , The construct took a major hit .
  16. Gratitude, to the higher Self for guiding the circumstances,(also known as grace), for which you can come closer to realizing that fundamental nature. ?
  17. Realization reveals that there is no death. This is perhaps the greatest revelation that self realization imparts. Death is misunderstood simply because humans are identified as a body-mind, until and/or unless there is experiential insight/realization into our true nature. I've tried to communicate deathlessness to close relatives, even recently when my uncle died, but not to much avail. It's understandable though in that, until and/or unless they realize for themselves their fundamental deathless nature, nothing can break the illusion of their mis-identification as being nothing more than a body-mind. At best, they can choose to believe or have faith there is no death, but that's just a belief, not knowing. As far as comforting them, words are not that necessary. Being there for them to have someone to express their emotions & thoughts to, and genuinely listening, empathizing and connecting "heart to heart" with them, is of greater value than saying something generic like "sorry for your loss". Many people say this just to say it,not truly mean it. Again, authentic actions are more important than idle words. Hope this helps. ?
  18. Set aside all mental distractions and give your full attention to what's being pointed to here. Don't try to grasp intellectually what's being said, just listen to what's being pointed to. What is being pointed to, is behind the words. The words themselves,if you follow them, are to lead you to what's behind them. The present moment or "now" is a silent, still, emptiness. This emptiness is not what the mind imagines it to be. It is this emptiness, that allows the perfection to be perceived.Hence the paradox, in the emptiness is fullness..
  19. As per @Forestluv's suggestion to inquire, maybe also try inquiring "to whom or what does this thought arise?" Is there a sense of "self" or 'I-ness' that is noticed? If so, inquire, "In what ,is this sense of I-ness?"
  20. When you're not doing or being anything in particular, who or what are you?
  21. Good point. If one is too serious it will no doubt be a tough ride, and may even cause bitterness and resentment. Ever growing joy, peace and freedom should be hallmarks that you're heading in the right direction. The notion that one need to be really serious, and is often associated with truth/spiritual seeking,is a false notion. It's recommended that if one finds themselves struggling, getting frustrated, overly obsessive etc.,it's a sign to ease up and get grounded. Being overly serious won't get you there any faster.
  22. That's it. Stripped of all the spiritual jargon, that's all that needs to be said.
  23. Greatly appreciated.Thank you. ??
