  1. @actualizing25 writte down 5 or 10 things you could be interesting to. Investigate them (i.e. could be a desire to know what Yoga is, why people feel lost in particular ages of their life, what a black hole is, why there is something called spirituality, why there are humans among 'lesser' other animals, etc. You get the point) This will clear your mind.
  2. What about spiritual practices then? Meditation, kriya, prana, contemplation, etc. Aren't those a 'path' to enlightment?
  3. @Javfly33 no, don't go out in the mountains with that surrender mentality, you literally can die, and no in a awakening way. As veganawake says, that 'I' who wants to surrender is the cause of your suffering, try to find where is localized, but that takes time, need a lot of contemplation and investigation of the self, your emotions and perceptions.
  4. @Matt23 when you read this type of books it's pretty stressing. It's not like reading a novel wich you enjoy. These books you read slowly, and prety carefully.
  5. Honestly, not at all in depth. Are we talking about Artificial Inteligence, right?
  6. I really don't understand why so many people are getting concern about AI. Too much movies maybe.
  7. @DivineSoda 14 days combining with fasting is pretty hardcore practice, although I wish you the best. And practicing guitar can be nice if done pretty mindful, as someone says abode. Would you make another post after your retreat to let us know how it went?
  8. @ardacigin Daniel Ingram is amazing. Such straight teachings, almonst no one tells you.
  9. @capriciousduck yes, music do can trigger your mind, don't doub that, your right.
  10. @Amandine honey bee. The only con is that makes you fat is you abuse consumption :* You can put it on tea, coffee, also in milk, but the liquid has to be warm or it wont dissolve. You can drink warm wather with honey if you're quitting caffeine. Just one scoop per cup, its amazing.
  11. @JunkyJu It depends on your level of consciousness. I went to a meditation center like 2 years ago. They talk about meat consumption and veganism, they even have a vegan break during a session of meditation. They told us to become vegan and the may reason for that was because the death meat of the animal contain the emotions the animal experience during his killing. So, if the animal suffer pain, anguish, fear, confusion, those will be in the meat you're eaten, then in your organism. How radical is that. Meditation elevates your level of perception and mindfulness. If you meditate long enough it wont be a surprise you star feeling those things.
  12. @Spiral Wizard if this is recurrent in your self inquiry practice, then I recommend to try mindfulness. Every time you star conceptualizing name it as: 'conceptual mind' 'analitical mind' 'concepts', 'I' m analizing things' etc. Name it and notice that after you do this the though may dissapear, instanly.
  13. @aklacor727 you're done, you already know there's a thing called 'Enlightenment', you're gonna star meditation any time soon. ?
  14. @Nak Khid I believe the insights you gain from meditation sticks forever, and some people reach states of trascendents that make them feel like they are enlightenment but they don't. Meditation will give you great results, it just that psychedelics are in a total different level.
  15. @outlandish the las film of Vincent Van Gogh also shows some perspective of his mind, he clearly suffer from some kind of schizophrenia. He use to painting regular objects like boots bc he saw something ultra beautiful in those.
  16. @Light Lover 5/10 to me. My main goal for 2019 was finding another job, I was working on customer services, and job not for me at all, I'm a draughtman, I ended up working there bc of personal issues. So I take some courses, quit my job and find another. That was pretty painful, but I get a proper job. Main goal for 2020 is to do my first one week retreat, and lear more about stuff in general ?
  17. @Nak Khid this guy is in a cruzade against spiritual movement, you can tell by the way he express itself has a neurotic personality, puting a lot of energy to debunk others people, I watch a couple of his videos then stop bc become unbearable to see his person, I feel sorrow for him.
  18. @Alex bAlex that's nice. My first memory is my 2yo birthday, I remember I was sitting in the table with a fancy cone hat and a white cake in front of me. There was my sister and her girl friend, celebrating me, yelling at me, touching me, laughing etc. I was scared as f. I didn't know what to do, that girl friend was super scary, the all situation was a wtf is happening. I can tell it was 2yo because of a picture they take, its me crying with a cake with 2 candells. So, yes thats was the first thing i remember.
