I can value myself as much as I would value a diamond. That is not going to influence how society values me. Your employer is not intrinsically value you, they are valuing your output. You could say "fuck what society says" but you can't truly say that unless you live a solitary life in the mountains. In modern society it is important to know what society values.

That is how I see it too. The upside for men is that we can reproduce in a later stage of our life. But the demands upon men is much greater: we are expected to have shit figured out.

You are giving love away without them deserving it so it is in human nature to not value something they haven’t deserved. You get respect from others if you respect yourself. @The0Self I know how to handle the situation. Girls are good at picking up signals so I don't have to spell it out. I have been rejecting a lot so I know how to do it. It is more the guilt trip and I feel like a butcher. I'm highly sensitive person towards other people's emotions and I need to be sensitive to my own emotions too. @Federico del pueblo your input has been helpful. I think it comes down to this: I have to forgive myself that I’m just a human and humans are superficial because of survival.
