I'd like to firstly talk about single pointed concentration. We are typically told to "concentrate on the third eye" (or whatever Chakra it is)...however, does this mean one should concentrate on the *mental image* of the third eye chakra, or the *sensation* of the chakra's *location* on the forehead?

For me, it started with the location of the forehead, just between the eyebrows. If you don't find any sensation there at first, you can just push your eye brows together and you ll feel a sensation. This for me was the easiest to concentrate on my third eye.

Also, from which angle do you visualize the chakras (during concentration and kriya pranayama)? When you are visualizing, there must be two points, the point where you are looking at, and the point where you are looking *from*. Ive tried moving *into* each chakra and mentally rising with the energy as it is lifted up the shushumna.

During concentration it's from the medulla to the Ajna. Took some time for me to get this, but to keep at it is the best way to get there.

For KP, I usually move my awareness to the chakra location, if it's Anahata then the spine location at my back behind the chest and feel the sensation there.

Do you maintain one mental perspective? Or switch between multiple? Do you imagine the shushumna from the point of view of the middle of the head? Where do you visualize from, and does your perspective move at all?

I personally imagine sushamna along the spine from the base till the top.

Do you see the spine from the side, back or at an angle? And is your perspective raised at all? And what do you actually see when you look at each chakra?

Better to have a Point of view of the spine which is symmetrical.

I personally look for a sensation at each chakra point or just plain old awareness at the spine location, if the spine location gets difficult to bring into awareness, then I usually focus inside the body at the location.

Do you see a dot? Do you visualize an amorphic gathering of energy to representitive of each chakra? Are they coloured? Black and White? I've become more conscious that being specific with visualization is key, and I don't see these details being talked about on the forum.

I am not sure about this as I haven't tried this. Maybe me, personally, will stay away from this. Rainbow colours, VIBGYOR as present in the picture you have attached would be the right colours for each chakra. Maybe it is for a reason.

What do you see when you visualize? And from where do you see? Do you see the entire body, or just the chakra's and the shushumna?

Better to use Shambavi Mudra when you are doing KP, that would automatically point some energy to the third eye even when you are working on other chakras.

    Hey guys,

I have some question in the book "Kriya Secrets Revealed"

pg 97 “First Part of Kriya Pranayama Procedure: Tongue Raising”

Q1: How to do this? Mouth closed or opened? I think the tongue raising technique is introduced in the later chapters.

pg 99 Bhrumadhya Kriya Pranayama Procedure #1

“This form of Kriya can be practiced at any time, day or night without preparation.”

Q2: Is empty stomach not required for this technique?

pg 99 Bhrumadhya Kriya Pranayama Procedure # 4:

“Hold the breath and then visualize”

Q3: For how long? 3 seconds?

    pg 100: Kriya Pranayama

“While breathing, make sure not to raise the ribcage. The breathing should come from the abdomen.”

Q4: While proceeding Ujjayi Pranayama, shouldn't the chest expand? So do I expand the chest for Ujjayi Pranayama during preparation and breath through the abdomen for Kriya Pranayama?

    Pg108: Maha Mudra

Q5: Can I breathe between switching legs? After I exhale, I run out of breath and am not able to hold my breath until the next inhale. Is holding breath until I start the next inhale recommended?

    Page 97 -

I think you are referring to Kechari Mudra or limited Kechari Mudra. If you cannot do a complete Kechari Mudra then you can do the limited Kechari Mudra where you take the tip of the tongue and place it on the soft palate of your upper mouth, you have to travel to the behind part to find the soft palate. Once you make that connection you have reached limited Kechari Mudra.

    Mouth closed.

    Page 99 -

Since you are holding the breath, maybe it's better to do it on empty stomach.

Duration - after 10 to 20 seconds of holding it, then visualization.

    Page 100-

Abdomen breathing is better for Ujjayi too I feel.

I am sorry I haven't started with Mahamudra.

  3. I have done a 10 day Vipassana retreat and I experienced pain during my sitting.

Those SDS were quite tough but just sitting with that pain for a while brought out deep painful memories of my past to a point that literally tears started flowing out of my eyes. Those experiences kind of helped me feel better about those experiences.

One huge takeaway I got from this is, just sitting with the pain and experiencing it allows us to access those events or memories where we have felt pain before.

Any feeling for that matter, even just sitting and feeling sad for a while can bring back all the powerful memories where I was sad in the past and gavr me an opportunity to revist that memory and heal with either visualizing giving my younger self a hug or just recontextualizong with the a high vibrational outcome.

If u would be 15, what things would u work on firstly? What skill would u master firstly? What would u most concentrate on? If u could tell one quote or one sentence to your 15y old self what would it be? Im confused where should i put my energy? I meditate 40mins every day(do nothing meditation), im journaling every day, im eating healthy, im exercising, studying everyday,  im taking notes on leo's videos, etc. Im planning to quit video games, porn finally, to start actually learning leo videos from my notes and stick it into my head, start building strong morning routine, start contemplating, strategizing, switch to another meditation technique that improves my concentration, start developing my research skills. I have so much time...we wont have school for a long time, and there is the summer break...

Id have fun if I were 15 as I did when I was 15?

One definitely needs traumas to build so you can resolve them later in life to experience life. I see the values of traumas now.

Experience life, do what things interest you. Now's the time to explore, find out what sparks your life. Find a nice compassionate companion, play sports, party, Maybe even masturbate but not to porn, these days the captions and themes are just plain horrible.

Id say don't take life too seriously you have a really long journey ahead to figure it out anyways. Be carefree but within legal bounds, as much as possible ?

    Apologies ?

You are right I was projecting myself, I don't know I always found it funny when I see people post similar things on Facebook saying "Guys am quitting social media".

I too have stopped viewing this forum for a while  in the past, because I was uncomfortable with myself and things that were happening around me but I always came back. So maybe it would be wise to take a few days break before actually announcing that you are quitting so you would be sure of your feelings and plans.

Maybe that would work? Id hate to see someone make this statement and be right back and feel wierd about it atleast I didn't want that for myself.

    Apologies again! ?♥️

All the best! Yes forum members and Leo have been a great influence.

I catch a topic and then spontaneously write (this is exactly what I do too :D).

And as i mentioned earlier i am having too little time. (Fair enough)

And i wanted to share why would i leave the forum and this is my way on saying thanks to people and Leo.

Well don't you think the moment you decided to leave then you could just leave? See now you are still on the forum even when you are having thoughts of not being on the forum. Very counter productive move to your plan to begin with.
