  1. Great story thanks for sharing... that's awesome you recognized liberation ❤ I was curious did you happen to experience a falling away of the self structure? or was it recognized the story of "I" is an illusion? I also noticed you're from California and 3 years older than me... I don't find that very often on here ?
  2. They seem to be having fun always laughing and joking around. Its a shocking and startling message that the individual never existed and any attempt to get rid of this illusory separate self by means of practices or self-inquiry is simply a futile attempt and can actually perpetuate the illusion of the separate individual... keep you running on the hamster wheel sorta speak. There is no where to go, and no one to get there. Its simply THIS ?
  3. It's a radical message that is rejected by the individual. The individual doesn't like it because it has nothing for it, it explains the individual is the illusion or the problem itself.
  4. There's still a conditioned human body that will turn its head when its name is called or jump out of the way of a train. The human body will still eat when it's hungry and decide to walk over and get a glass of water when it's thirsty. It will also jump out of the way if a snake tries to bite it in the leg. I know that their messages are radical and there's nothing there for the individual in fact the individual won't even hear their message. My advice would be to stay radically open-minded and recognize there is some truth in everybody's perspective. These guys do seem to take it a little extreme but I would also call it walking the walk. Survival is not dependent on an illusory ME manifesting inside of the body claiming it's in control of everything. The body will survive naturally whether the me thinks it's there or not. ❤
  5. I wouldn't say their really talking shit lol, they are trying to describe the misunderstandings that other spiritual teachers often seem to overlook in their communication. For example: Staying in the present moment (Eckhart Tolle) Jim and Tony don't like this phrase because it sounds like something narrow. Why would you need to try to focus on staying in the present moment when all there is, IS THIS. Obviously their biggest disagreement with these other teachers is the belief that a separate individual can somehow obtain enlightenment through suffering, spiritual practices and self-inquiry. They point out the supposed separate individual is the illusion itself and that these practices can actually perpetuate the belief that there is a separate individual that can attain something called enlightenment. Tony Parsons is like the Godfather of these non-dual messages haha... I'm not sure about the whole neo-advaita stuff but I guess people can call it whatever they want ? Here is another guy you might be interested in ❤
  6. Bravery is not exactly the word... it's more like faith. Have faith that when (Maya the illusion of self) falls away that everything will be just fine. There was a level of trust here that listened to the Enlightened Masters that came before explaining it's not a gaining, it's a falling away. When the self falls away everything is found. And it's simultaneously recognized the self never existed. ❤
  7. See the tricky part about this work is recognizing the separate self is the only thing that wants this to happen. In reality everything is perfect whole and complete just the way it is... nothing needs to be done... everything is already done in fact it may have never started. The destruction of the planet is just as incredible as the thriving of it. There's no rules no boundaries no should or shouldn't's no prerequisites. Everything is as it is for what else could it be.. No thing need be done... it's party time or not either way is the way...?
  8. Yes meditation was being used a lot here as well. Quieting the whirl wind of Mind or pathological thinking seemed key in a sense. At that time Leo's distraction the egos favorite defense mechanism video became quite helpful ❤
  9. Goals can still arise they just don't feel personalized, like there's not an egoic self agenda driving the need any longer. Not that much changes in this sense... Im still going to finish my military career so I can support the family financially. Nothing needs to be done but why not make the world a better place...❤ Yes the separate self is seen as a fiction. What's left is a conditioned human body Being!
  10. No problem ..yeah it's crazy all right and whatever path you choose is your Great Way ?
  11. It's really interesting, it did seem like when I turned my external seeking energy inwards 180 degrees, it led to stumbling upon the realization that the 'ME' character was an illusion or a story that was bought into. But simultaneously it feels like it was just something that happened. Almost like when the fruit is ripe it falls from the tree... I'm still not fully convinced there's a path or a way that can lead to Awakening... All that is known for sure here is when (Maya the illusion of the self) fell away, a lot of strange things happened afterwards such as disentangling from social conditioning and also recognizing the separate self never actually existed and the whole thing was a sham... What a beautiful Wild Ride ❤
  12. The thing is, there's no exact answer... my suffering in the military is allowing me to collect a retirement check after 20 years... I literally couldn't stand so much of it. But simultaneously it was challenging and I would not take back many of the experiences. Strange and beautiful things seem to happen around suffering. It may have even partially led to my Awakening. Follow your heart is number one..❤ "The Great Way is not difficult for those who have no preferences. When love and hate are both absent everything becomes clear and undisguised. Make the smallest distinction, however, and heaven and earth are set infinitely apart. If you wish to see the truth then hold no opinion for or against. The struggle of what one likes and what one dislikes is the disease of the mind" - Sengstan, Hsin Hsin Ming
  13. Yes exactly... feelings still arise but they don't feel personal and they absolutely do not linger here whatsoever like they used to. So there is nothing here enjoying everything after enlightenment ? and these feelings are deeper and richer than ever.
  14. ? ❤ time for bonus points haha...
  15. "All of this silly circus is simply the eternal play of oneness apparently seeking itself. It is the wonderful cosmic joke oneness plays on itself by pretending to be an individual seeking something called “not being an individual”. When it is suddenly and directly rediscovered by no-one that liberation brings with it the realisation that there is nothing to seek and no one to become liberated, then there is much laughter" - Tony Parsons
  16. ME 2...they are incredible movies ❤ so detailed!!
  17. Yeah its totally the best show in town. ❤ it's gloriously meaningless.
  18. Like it's real and unreal like it matters and doesn't matter. To an individual things matter to existence nothing matters. Ultimately nothing matters. Whether you spend your life in a cave or become the president of the United States they're both exactly the same thing. Pure free Boundless Energy with no meaning purpose or value whatsoever ❤
  19. Yeah definitely don't beat yourself up over this... it's completely normal and it's good that you recognize your judgments..❤ this is all just conditioning. Without our conditioned judgments on things, everything is neutral. There are no real good or bad's, should or shouldn't's. What happens is we place an overlay on top of reality. Without this overlay everything is just naturally flowing perfectly. Once we lay down this overlay, things that help the 'ME' character are labeled as good and things that do not are labeled as bad. If I think meditation and eating white rice are good, people that meditate and eat white rice are doing the right thing, if not they're doing the wrong. We think our perceptions are important but things are just happening whether or not we're sitting back judging them. Without our perception on life, things are just flowing perfectly. Nothing needs to change or be done. ?
  20. A crazy thing to recognize is nothing matters at all. Whether you suffer your whole life or have the best experiences and visit every single world attraction. Glancing down at a pile of dogshit on the sidewalk is exactly equal to any other life experience. None of it matters or holds any value whatsoever. Or you could say they both hold the exact same value. Completely neutral...equal 0. Nothing needs to happen, nothing needs to be done, nothing needs to be achieved. Everything is perfectly whole and complete nothing is missing, the separation never occurred it was an illusion. ❤
  21. It seems like there's a lot of things that can cause suffering but It ultimately boils down to "the resistance to what is happening". And yes, when you are identified as a separate self and it feels like it's happening to an individual ME character, it can intensify the feeling of personal suffering.
  22. The separate self is an illusion anyways so nothing really needs to happen. But If seeking happens, it happens...so it is. At the end of the journey, what's usually recognized is what was longed for was already the case. Everything is already perfectly whole and complete. All that's required are eyes to see this. ❤ Follow your heart for your truth...?
