  1. No not at all... that was weird it just sounded like I was hearing myself talk... I think you understand things a lot more than you realize or maybe you do realize it I don't know...?
  2. Wow that came out of nowhere.. exactly right...
  3. There's not a separate 'I' here that is aware of Infinity out there. You are as much to infinity as Infinity is to you. There's no line separating you and infinity. Everything You touch smell taste hear and see and imagine is it.
  4. Fear of too much freedom.. Complete Anarchy Deep religious conditioning passed down from family. Uncertainty... Love would not mean nothing matters.. God will flood the Earth again... Judgement Day Will Cometh... We don't deserve freedom... Were not worthy... Its barbaric... Makes too much sense, can't be right.. Satan's got a grasp on you...? Time for the Lake of Fire... I completely misunderstand the whole message and I am not grasping it in any way at all...
  5. I have heard it described that way but it seems to be a little different for everyone... Some are instantaneous and some can be gradual... Once the bottom of the bucket falls out, it never again holds water. Once the truth is recognized it's never forgotten... When true Awakening is embodied the self is dissolved... and it's simultaneously recognized it never existed. You're very welcome my friend ?
  6. In my opinion these guys just remove the religious/spiritual/mystical woo woo mumbo jumbo out of the awakening story.. All they are really saying is: 1) There is no separate self inside the body...running the show, that's Maya. 2) There isn't a path for the illusory separate individual to follow to find something called Awakening because the separate individual is the illusion itself. 3) Everything is already perfect whole and complete and just needs to be recognized. That's essentially their entire message.. doesn't sound that evil right lol? Oh wait they're crazy deluded Neo Advaitist's that's right haha.
  7. Awakening is the end of the seeking... Finally, we come to a stop. We realize that all that we are, and all that we need, can be found right Now. The search to become something, to lose something, to find something and to accomplish something perish. We see through the illusion of looking for truth, joy, peace, and love in any place outside of ourselves. We see the Truth That We Are mirrored in all beings and all things. While the ego still exists, we become aware of the ego as simply a tool; not the Truth of Who We Are. Transcending duality and the grip of the ego, we develop the capacity to give unconditional love and acceptance. This is the state of ultimate inner peace, freedom and what people refer to as “enlightenment,” yet those who experience this know that no possible label or mental construct can encapsulate such an experience. Ego death is a serious, purging, profound, and shattering experience. It is so deep and so beyond anything we have experienced in this life, that it changes your perception of existence in a single moment.
  8. It's not like a test or anything.. It's okay for the conditioned body/mind to judge things as good or bad or in between....the underlining recognition that its just conditioning is where the Freedom lies...? like Leo says: awareness alone is Curative...
  9. Yes I've been in the US Navy for over 18 years... Not sure if you're aware of this but most governments have Financial ties and obligations to the very industries themselves like the meat and dairy industry. Governments also tend to get their nutrition guidelines from the very industries that are actually selling the products and doing the research...ie.. meat, dairy egg Industries. The science seems to get skewed when the very Industries that are selling the products are also doing the research... You won't be hearing much about how eggs have the highest amount of saturated fat and cholesterol out of any food of equal size. Probably won't hear about the negative effects of igf-1 primarily found in meat. From the World Health Organization: Twenty-two experts from 10 countries reviewed more than 800 studies to reach their conclusions. They found that eating 50 grams of processed meat every day increased the risk of colorectal cancer by 18%. That’s the equivalent of about 4 strips of bacon or 1 hot dog. For red meat, there was evidence of increased risk of colorectal, pancreatic, and prostate cancer.
  10. I seriously love this guy's energy... he floats in non-dual awareness gracefully.. if I ever go back to Costa Rica again I'm going to make a special visit..
  11. @fridjonk it was just a generalized statement... There of course can still be cases where an individual needs to eat animal products or from Direction by a doctor.. Ultimately all nutrients come from plants... so usually with enough exploration most can get plenty of nutrients being vegan or vegetarian.. Some of the biggest and strongest animals in the world are plant eaters... Elephants hippos rhinos Gorillas.
  12. It doesn't mean things will or will not happen a certain way... It's pointing to the 'YOU' that thinks it's upset, is actually just an identification with a thought as the 'ME'.
  13. Yeah most people don't know how to get the proper nutrition out of a whole food plant-based vegan diet... or vegetarian diet.. You can't switch to a vegan diet and just eat salads and oatmeal and expect to be fine. I like the g-bombs: Greens beans onions mushrooms berries and seeds...is a good start... If you're low in protein or iron most doctors would tell you to go back to eating meat but if you haven't put a bean nut or seed on your plate... well that's just your own ignorance.
  14. The Mind likes to label things place them in boxes and pretend like it understands what is in the box. Its just what the Mind does to sort through the overwhelming amount of data coming in. Knowing is a trap.... Unknowing is to be free...
  15. That's an interesting label... lots of labeling on the forum these days. Good label or bad label in your opinion?
  16. Hmmm assumptions that God has anything to do with the ego.. The ego is a survival mechanism that has outlived its usefulness... Now it's like a runaway train... it's become an entity unto itself. We thank you ego for your evolutionary advantage in survival... but now we live in the comfort of our own homes and do not need to be paranoid and looking over our shoulders for animals or others to attack. You have now become a dysfunctional survival mechanism...we no longer need that kind of separation, paranoia and greed. The pendulum can swing back more towards the center...
  17. @Billy Shears ❤ Definitely make sure you're getting enough B12 one in six Americans vegan or not are low in B12. Also D3... you can get enough D3 by going out into the direct sunlight for about 20 to 25 minutes a day. Also another nutrient of concern is potassium 96% of Americans are deficient in potassium. Check out nutritionfacts.org ... Dr. Michael Gregor is amazing
  18. “To know yourself as the Being underneath the thinker, the stillness underneath the mental noise, the love and joy underneath the pain, is freedom, salvation, enlightenment.” — Eckhart Tolle
  19. This message is not saying that anything should or should not be done. If an apparent 'ME' wants to dedicate their whole life to making the world a better place... awesome... or if an apparent 'I' wants to share deep unconditional love with the entire universe.. wonderful. It was recognized by No One that the sense of 'I' or the 'ME' wasn't a real entity inside the body... it was an illusion of the self that never existed. In that sense, things do not matter because there's no real 'I' for them to actually matter for. There is also no end result of sharing love or not, or making the world a better place or not, because again there are no actual individuals for the results to matter for. Things mattering only exist within the dream of the separate 'ME' character. There is also no bearded man in the clouds casting judgement on our behaviors... you looked at that girl's butt... I'm casting you in the Lake of Fire for eternity lol.... that's also all within the dream of the separate individual. There isn't anything that's better than anything else because only a mind would make that distinction... It's a freedom message for No One pointing to the fact that whatever path is taken is the correct path because no one path is better than the other. I probably won't post much more about it, as it seems to cause more confusion than anything else which is not the purpose of this forum.
  20. I like to describe the ego as the dysfunctional survival mechanism that's outlived its usefulness. It's a compilation of different things tied together...Ego is separation...ego is lack... ego is the unfulfillable seeking energy... the ego always wants more. More money more power more sex more love more enlightenment.. it's never satisfied. It's my belief that the ego somehow knows it isn't real and has to perpetuate it's illusory existence by continuing to seek something that is always just out of its grasp... that's how it stays alive. The egos favorite quote would then be: " seek but do not find" --Ego ?
  21. Sure.. a lot of it really depends on how crappy your diet was before also...? I switched from a standard American diet(SAD) to a whole food plant-based vegan diet, so the effects were super noticeable within a few months. I actually lost 14 pounds in the first year. After a few years though we started eating more processed vegan junk food because of the convenience. I recently started going back to mostly Whole plant Foods. The thing about a whole plant-based vegan diet, is your body starts getting all of this nutrition that it wasn't getting before and It can actually strengthen your cells and increase energy greatly. Here's a cool guy to check out if you're interested:
  22. Lol I totally believe you ? so funny.. I started off doing it because I believed it was better for my health the environment and the animals... My whole family is used to it now and we're kind of somewhat intrigued that we can live a healthy life without eating animal products... it turns into kind of a game ..what can we eat instead of meat.. I made a Cheesy tofu eggless scramble this morning with nutritional yeast apple cider vinegar onion powder garlic powder salt turmeric and black pepper.....Yummo...?
