  1. Quickest thing you can do is apply at restaurants and grocery stores. The stereotypical bullshit jobs that kids get in high school that “build character” because there’s no enjoyment in the daily toil. They’re always looking to hire. If you’re living with your folks, you can still save up money on that low wage. For your health, look only for places in comfortable walking/biking distance and never drive to or from work. Also avoid the food at any restaurant you apply to unless it’s menu is specifically designed to be healthy. If you can afford to be patient, don’t apply to those jobs. Aim higher.
  2. Fuck yeah, Texas! I’m surprised 2016 even had good turnout for the general election at all, really. Ted Cruz won the Texas primary by a landslide. Hillary Clinton got more votes in the Texas primary than Donald Trump. And good on the Harris County clerk as well! There is no such thing as shy Trump supporters in Michigan. The signs and little car flags are everywhere. They are loud, outspoken people. There’s at least one big parade float for Trump.
  3. Don’t read this post.
  4. Well, everyone’s situation is different. I know a few people who live without jobs and stable income. But it can be pretty stifling. You made it this far, though! What made you realize a change needs to happen, @Loss ? And how urgent does that change need to be?
  5. Imagine the shitstorm we’d be in if it ended up as this map with the exception of Wisconsin being red...
  6. @Thewritersunion double that for me
  7. Dumb lives matter too, ya know? Having Leo on a pedestal is a perspective. Not actuality.
  8. It’s your life. You decide how to live it.
  9. My condolences to Polish women. How long is the Polish presidential term?
  10. 1. Voter turnout will probably be higher this time. 2. The 91% is probability of winning, not amount of votes.
  11. Ah, bulk-size wholesale consciousness!
  12. Chances are high that results on November 3rd will be contested. What happened with Florida in 2000 could happen in a buuuuuuunch of different states. People keep waiting for November 4th to come so they can relax. November 4th might just add to the tension, but I hope to be proved wrong.
  13. How to bash science on the internet: 1) Go to device with nanoscale CPU that utilises quantum mechanics for manufacture and silicon semiconductor chemistry to function 2) Connect to A/C electricity as invented by Nikola Tesla 3) Switch on screen using light-emitting diode electroluminescence. 4) Connect to vast computing infrastructure system called the internet using transceivers in the microwave part of the electromagnetic spectrum. 5) Talk about how science is full of shit. Success! @No Self ??
  14. Your limited perspective of reality stops at death. No limits and no you afterward.
  15. Yeah, it’s a learning process. When Bernie lost in 2016, I went straight to Jill Stein and was happy to avoid the “lesser of 2 evils” vote and stuck to my ideals. But this time around, I’m all in on Biden after Bernie lost the primary again. It’s the more realistic solution to make sure some semblance of progressiveness has a place in our capitol.
  16. Trust me, there’s plenty of hate directed towards the Left. This is a big ego backlash from electing Obama twice. The growing pains of a nation. The “Make America Great Again” slogan really sums it all up. Many Americans are sick of progress and liked things just as they were.
  17. I think it’s worth mentioning that empathy certainly helps, but it can only do so much. It’s just an approximation. Some things have to be learned the hard way.
