Relatively speaking a rock is a rock and not a kangaroo - but when we say it is One we aren't speaking of the number one (in the relative domain). What is being said is prior to that - a singularity prior to language. And a singularity must be unlimited, or Infinite. Which means all relative distinctions must collapse. Something and nothing are identical.

Its a hard one for the ego to swallow We throw it around a lot in spiritual circles but becoming directly conscious of it is a whole other matter (no pun intended)

You don't have to change anything simply begin a meditation and self inquiry practice. Also be conscious that awakening is about selflessness not selfishness.

You got it! it IS the Universe - it IS Infinity. It is Being. Thats why all of these are synonymous. Universe not as in our imaginary one but as in Infinity.

Keep an open mind that maybe that sage is saying that because they have had mystical experiences - have become conscious of God - and perhaps even that they are God. That is what they are conscious of. Then keep in mind that such mystics make up less than one percent of the world population. So relative to everyone else this is self realization. Yet be open to the possibility that there can be infinitely more degrees of consciousness and infinitely more degrees of "wokeness". Are you seeing now that the finite becoming infinite will always be relative and partial until it becomes purely infinite or Absolute? Is the relativity hitting you yet?

Totally normal. It will take time for your levels of consciousness to come down to normal human levels. As you mentioned you are hitting non-dual mystical states of consciousness spontaneously. And these are often accompanied by massive realizations. It's a lot to take in. It is both wonderful and terrifying because awakening is the ultimate miracle but you have no one to share this with because you are totally One. In time you will come back around to embracing duality and then you can begin to really hone in on finding life purpose again and ways to service mankind which ultimately is an expression of you. With awakening comes responsibility ? As everything is you, you start to care about everything not just yourself.. yet at the same time you can continually work on improving yourself, becoming more and more conscious, and being a more selfless and loving person that others can learn from.

@An young being yes most scientists today (there were some founding fathers of quantum physics who got it even if they weren't enlightened) hold science as Absolute Truth. They were indoctrinated into this by their culture and have never thought to question it or think it could be any other way. And so they think that one day science will discover everything there is to know and then we will know Absolute Truth. But this will prevent them from actually transcending beyond science and the human mind. Hopefully at some point our civilization will evolve and advance to where science and spirituality come together in a metaphysical way. Right now metaphysics isn't really mainstream because thats not where we are as a society yet.

Of course what is not relative (other than the Absolute). Well you can actually reach a point where such labels are dropped and one just sees reality as it is. You would not want Truth taken on as a belief and giving it a label like idealism is trying to lump it laterally with other beliefs.

why can't one be both? Why are you putting a "non-dualist" in a separate category than a "scientist"....why must they be separate and not incorporate both. At some point one will hit the limits of science but it is incorporated and transcended without judgement. It is still incredibly useful for what it is, though it may not get you to the ultimate Truth - its value is there. Keep in mind that there is no need to demonize anything.

What you are saying is it is a part of infinity. Of course everthing is. Even the deluded are a part of Absolute Truth. You can equally say a rapist is Absolute Love. If you have One thing then this can't be escaped. It is paradoxical in that way. That said, at the same time you can become more conscious and transcend the materialist paradigm because you see it for what it is which is a deception. It doesn't mean you are better in any way.

You ARE Truth. And you can become directly conscious of Truth by being it. Or being directly conscious that you ARE it. Same thing. Usually you will not become directly conscious of all of the facets of Truth at once - but you can become conscious of Infinity - in which you realize that everthing and nothing are identical. Therefore it has no ground and therefore physical reality is an illusion or an appearance. Idealism is just a finite label or pointer to a facet of Absolute Truth.

that's not what i am saying. I am saying that paradoxically it is. If as you said there is no your mind and my mind - then you are the Self. And when your form ends that is it. The entire realm of form goes with you. From your POV. From your POV all other POV are actually held within your own. Thats it. (That is all there is so stop there) From my POV, i am the Self. There is no your mind and my mind. When i enter mahasamadhi the entire realm of form ends. We are getting into loopy, paradoxical stuff here but that is a feature not a bug.

no i understand what you guys are saying and questioning.. It appears not to make any sense that you can be a projection of my mind, i can be projection of your mind, and yet we can still meet in the middle, and share the same reality. But who said reality had to be restricted to logic. That is a limitation we are putting on it. By that logic solipsism would be the only conclusion you could come to. But that again is applying a logical restriction. Remove all restrictions and you have Infinity. Paradox just might be a feature ?

You mean that your limited form ends and only the formless remains? Because infinity can't end But yes from my direct experience of samadhi not mahasamadhi, you will dissolve into pure formlessness, Absolute Love. It will be total as in all of the finite world ends. You will be pure Infinity.

I believe he addressed that later by saying it was really just his ego talking about the attachments he still had. We are still in the illusion that there is stuff behind the scenes most of the time we go about our daily life. Anyway don't get me wrong - don't try this at home. Survival is a wonderful thing

Yeah i had the same God is the one that realizes it because the ego is dead. But then also there was a time when i was in between as both. Hard to describe other than insanity! Yes it sounds crazy. Don't tell mom about it she probably won't understand.

@Javfly33 reality is only perspecitves. There is no objective reality. It is an Absolute relativity. Meaning it is 100 percent relative and the only thing Absolute is that it is 100 percent relative! Its just God experiencing reality from an Infinite number of POVs. Thats literally all there is. He has a newer one called "What if reality were nothing but perspectives?".
